As regards the bolded quote, interesting.

saaphiere:

Mr Okpoh, 31, who allegedly conspired with five others to defraud their American victims of over $6million, was led to the Lagos office of the EFCC by his father, retired Colonel Garuba Okpoh and his mother Justina Okpoh

Mr Uwujaren quoted Mr Okpoh as saying, during interrogation, that he decided to surrender himself to the Commission out of respect for his parents and his resolve to be morally upright.

You are here Condemning the killing of someone that was sentenced to death... While down in your region you are busy killing armless Hausa settlers!

I am beginning to understand that Nigeria is filled with brainless hypocrites.

Interesting how quick you are to include IPOB in your post.

Nigeria Police Force has denied they were involved.

You are the kind of people who have issues with anything, then attribute it to IPOB.

Can you condemn the sentencing of a Muslim man to death because of what he said?
I guess, no.

Romance / Re: I Caught My Guy's Fiancee In Another Man's House by Xano(m): 5:03am On Sep 05, 2020
Whiteball:
It's a bit lenghty so bear with me.I'm in my late 30's very very eligible for marriage but still single.Alot of friends in my circle are married but up close and personal stories coming out of their camp and experience av had in d past isn't encouraging ,so i just wanna have a baby mama(These lady's arnt loyal).

Pressure from Family n friends to settle but am not giving in. so this particular friend of mine(now a true definition of born again- i wont mention name) changed my mindset and promised to help me get a 'good wife material' through his fiancee.

I yielded and i reluctantly gave him d permission . I'v never met his fiancee one on one bc she stays in a different city and each time she comes visiting her guy am always busy but we speak on phone. She gave my number to her friend (my hookup) we got talking but i told her point blank that am a christian but not a born again like ur friend fiance -i club i drink socially but i dont smoke,to my surprise she told me same here! (hmmm red flag bc i was expecting otherwise since her friend was a born again). I told her no problem.

This week my guy's babe visited town ,i was very busy still but was able to meet them at d park when she was travelling back. she was already inside d bus when i drove in.
she came down from d bus to greet me since passengers were still boarding ,she's beautiful i must confess with nice curves but was wearing all those long born again gown and holding a bible .I told my guy despite leaving 'd world' for us he still got good eyes,we laughed and joked she told me her friend(my hookup) is prettier i said wow cant wait to meet her.

Something strange happened,i noticed an old time friend in d bus which this babe was boarding we shared pleasantries and exchanged number he asked if my babe was travelling with them i told him she's my guy's fiancee not my babe he complimented her beauty also.

A minute later she said she doesn't wanna travel with this bus which they have already paid for again, she will rather wait for d next bus that her spirit isn't in line with d bus ..
I was confused and asked her to explain she said she doesn't want to go wit this one bc she's having a strange feeling concerning d bus but i should allow my friend inside d bus already to travel with them its fine -It didn't make sense to me,if u think this bus will have an accident i should at least alert my friend to come down too she said i shouldn't worry.

My guy waited for her fiancee to catch d next bus while i left for work.

The next day was weekend and i decided to go visit another friend(lets call him guy B) of mine so we could hangout . It's a big compound with plenty room n parlour self contain.when we were about leaving the compound together i saw an eye catching figure come out from another apartment wearing bump short, transparent shirt that was revealing all her breast going to dry clothes on d ropes...Behold it was my friend's fiancee!!!.

I was shocked bc yesterday nite i called my friend to confirm if his fiancee finally got a bus and had arrived her destination he told me yes and thanked me for showing up and for my concern. Someone that was suppose to b in another part of Nigeria was in another part of d city ? . Immediately she turned and saw me,she was shocked n her clothes fell off her hands. I didn't say a word i just walked straight with my guy B to my car .

She ran towards me and drew me privately and said i should keep it privately she will explain on phone .my guyB confirmed to me that she came in last nite and that's her boyfriend apartment i refused to tell him anything tho.

The reason why she left that initial bus begin to make sense to me now.

I need advise please ,ordinarily i will look the other way but the guy in question is my very good guy and a born again christian engaged to her, weeding is two months away. The lady also according to him is supposedly a born again but this dressing stated otherwise... tho i didn't catch dem 'doing' oh.

My advice: inform your good friend about where you saw his fiancée with details.

He may doubt you, communicate with guy B to know when the girl would be in his neighbour's house. Take your good friend with you to see for himself.

Your good friend deserve to be happy and marry a lady with peace of mind.

Romance / Re: Should I Help my Ex girlfriend family? by Xano(m): 3:33pm On Aug 29, 2020
Truthlord12:
Good evening people please I need your advice regards to this, I got separated from my ex girlfriend last year because she told me her travel plans abroad I was a bit sceptic About the nature of job she’ll do there, she’s the type that’s ready and willing to do anything to help her family.

After everything I told her not to embark on the journey that she should be patient with me, once my business picked up I’ll care for her and her family, she refused and traveled last year, few months before she left she gave me some money to add to my business I wouldn’t want to state the actual amount but a bit huge. Of recent her family really suffering because my ex had issue with the person that took her abroad so she’s passing through difficult time though she’s hiding some info from me since she’s not able to make money, she called me of recent that I should please do anything to help her family.

Now I’ve got a new girlfriend I told my new girlfriend about the issue but she said I shouldn’t give my ex family any money, because we ain’t together anymore that if I do she’ll leave me

Please people help me what should I do? My mind is really disturbing me and I still love my ex I wish I’ve a way to bring her back to Nigeria so we can start a family I don’t care the type of job she went there to do and I don’t mind what she has been through. She did so much for me, she made sacrifice that this my new girl won’t do, I don’t even know if my new girlfriend loves me or because of my money.

Though I love my new girlfriend but part of me is with my ex I don’t know if she’ll will be willing to return though I’ve not discussed it with her. And now my new girlfriend threatening to leave me if I assist or give back the money my ex gave me as support for my business before she travelled to her family I’ve been down for days thinking so much.

Interesting

As regards the bolded, she dared you and gave you a warning.

My advice, your ex helped you financially when you needed it; do as such to your family. But limit it to finance, then move on.

You can inform your now girlfriend about it. If she quits the relationship, you would meet another lady(not your ex girlfriend) with a good heart.

All the best

Politics / Re: "Edo Is Not Lagos": Obaseki's Bill Of Insult On Tinubu - By Ini Akpan Morgan by Xano(m): 2:17pm On Aug 10, 2020
IniAkpanMorgan:
"Edo Is Not Lagos": Godwin Obaseki's Ingratituous Bill Of Insult On Tinubu

It is a worthwhile venture when one chooses to stand far away from ingratituous people. They are like the "Bermuda Triangle", always "swallowing" and not getting filled up. And unless they continue to take from you, you have not done anything for them. One thing is sure though, an ingratituous person is an armed "emotional robber".

When a matter is like that, no time should be wasted to attempt to waste time and resources to assist such people. This is why the bill posted as "Edo is not Lagos” is an ingratituous insult on AsiwajuBola Ahmed Tinubu.

Let us recall that the Asiwaju held and lifted former Governor Olusegun Mimiko up to become Governor of Ondo State, to help him grow his South West outreach, but at then end of that effort, Governor Mimko floundered and left Asiwaju Tinubu in the cold. He was ungrateful.

At the end of that political trip the Asiwaju helped Olusegun Mimiko embark on, and when it mattered most to the Asiwaju, the former governor chose to work with erstwhile President Goodluck Jonathan than with the Asiwaju. As clearly as pictured, investing his resources in Olusegun Mimiko was a big loss to the Asiwaju - Mimiko should not have been helped to be governor. It is now about the ingratitude of Governor Obaseki.

However, in the above review, of that relationship between the Asiwaju and Mimiko, it is very clear, how, at no point did Mimiko insult the Asiwaju in his show of ingratitude. The same thing cannot be said about Governor Godwin Obaseki, who has taken his own ingratitude to a new level.

Governor Obaseki, who is a secondary beneficiary of the political magnanimity of the Asiwaju, having inherited a political dynasty put in place by the Asiwaju.

"Edo is not Lagos" is a geographical fact when the cadastrals mapping of the 2 cities are considered, but referring it to the politics of Edo State and the incumbent governorship, Edo State and especially Governor Godwin Obaseki has the Asiwaju to be grateful to, for what Governor Obaseki enjoys today as the governor of the State.

Edo may not be Lagos, but the governorship and the incumbent political status quo Godwin Obaseki is currently enjoying was strategically planned in Lagos, sponsored from Lagos and it took the shape and the image of what Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu delivered. So politically, Edo, undeniably, smells like Lagos.

Now, what did the Asiwaju do wrong and where did he incur Governor Obaseki's displeasure?

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a seasoned democrat, is the only Nigerian politician who committed every needed resources to sustain, deepen and grow our democracy: he sustained a vibrant and a dreadful opposition polity until it was victory for the opposition parties. Governor Obaseki should not have expected such a democrat to support his attempt to muzzle 14 members of a 26 members Edo House of Assembly.

The Asiwaju's offence was in telling Godwin Obaseki that he was wrong to insist on a "minority rule" in the Edo State House of Assembly. What was it that promoted Governor Obaseki's fears that Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State did not encounter? Governor Obaseki had a House of Assembly populated by his party men, while Governor Uzodinma inherited an already operative Imo State House of Assembly dominated by the opposition.

The question is: how is Governor Uzodinma successfully managing a House populated by enemy legislators when his colleague, Governor Obaseki cannot manage his 26 members House filled with his party men? It shows that Governor Obaseki is unlearn in the arts of governance. Compare him with his Imo State counterpart, the difference in their experiences is very clear.

So, like Governor Olusegun Mimiko, Governor Godwin Obaseki enjoyed the continuity of the Asiwaju political magnanimity and was ungrateful, but unlike Governor Mimiko who left out adding insults to his ingratitude, Governor Obaseki took his to a childish climax by adding insults to his ingratitude against the Asiwaju.

Unfortunately, Governor Obaseki was blind to who the Asiwaju is: a politician who has "the right to be insulted", a politician who has grown politically through the "insults" he has suffered, and the one who is who he has become through insults from those he "out runs". So Governor Obaseki's inglorious show of ingratitude and his insults can only raise the Asiwaju's political pedestal than diminish it.

But as for him returning to Government House, Benin City, he has lost the opportunity for taking a hard earn political victory for the Edo people back to their mark of political slavery. Indeed it is not proper to "give the children's bread to dogs". And Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is right to suggest the removal of Governor Obaseki and come 19 Sepywmber 2020, he will prove it indeed that, politically, "Edo is Lagos".

This cycle has gone on for about three years. Anytime I decide to forget her, she will call or message asking why I don't call and bla bla. When she does that and I decide to call or message her, she would give excuses and hang up or quit chats.

When I shun her, she will find her way back to call me or message me. Should I blacklist her and block her on messenger?

See, IPPIS and GIFMIS have been designed to accurately calculate and deduct relevant taxes. The era where MDAs shortchange government by under-deducting PAYE taxes is over.
