THE PRICES ARE NOT HIGH - you can also walk into a sawmill to confirm yourself.
ON THE QUANTITY? No1 can tell you if its high or low; unless the Architectural drawings is made available...

Goodluck

Thanks for your response, however, I am using slate and not aluminium or any fancy roofing sheets, so I expect it to be of a lower price in total but was surprised

Good day House.

Please I am planning to continue my building. the last I did was the lintel, now am contemplating filling or doing the roof, please what is the best for me? filling or roofing?

if filling, any special ways to reduce cost, its a very simple and small 4 bedroom building with square shape. I learnt I should dig septic tank and use the sand to fill first.

if its roofing, any special ways to manage cost?

Thanks as I await your professional responses.

Lets all discuss the implications of the British court case of $9 dollars against Nigeria’s Asset on investments in Treasury bills’s and its far reaching effect on the economy amidst falling oil prices.

Question that should be on the minds of T-bills investors and more are:

1. Are we to expect a rise in T-bill rates?
2. Are foreign investors exiting the T-bills markets?
3. Are we to invest in short term tenors or long term terms?
4. Are we to expect more OMO auctions from CBN?
5. Are we to expect more T-bill demands from CBN?

If we are able to provide answers to the above and more looking at the effects of the above case on our foreign reserve and or the ripple effect of the information on our decisions to invest, then the way to go for Treasury bill investors will be clear.
Oya, all the guru’s in the house, Economic speculators we need your responses

Note: T-bills means Treasury bills

Thank you. I'll consider doing that
My 50cent. If u convert 50percent of ur dom acct or u convert all to invest in Tbills ensure that ur upfront on TBills is converted back to dollars n saved in ur dom account until d maturity of d tbills. The idea is that the upfront being coverted back to dollars will stand as an hedge to d risk in exchange rate over d tbills until maturity. Bye n large at maturity if d exchange rate does not move against u then u gain but if otherwise f worse maybe that u will neither gain nor loose. It's a risk strategy.

That's sad. I thought the are pro-bono lawyers who will be willing to say least, handle cases for little fee.

Life is more important than money. If your prior are capable, they should pool funds to hire the acquitted friend's lawyer. Your innocent brother's life and well-being is more important than money that will still be spent on other stuffs anyway

The acquitted guy's lawyer has sent his brief to our lawyer as a guide and we believe we shall win and have victory too in Jesus name.

I wonder too why the appeal was done separately. Op can you shed some light on this, please?
From the inception they used different lawyers although d judgement was given same day. After which each party there after decided to appeal based on pocket, the friend's family was able to get fund earlier for their appeal n did not wait for my brother as we could not get funding for the appeal on time. They were 4. The last 2 guys could not raise money until d appeal window closed.

House please l need some education here.
I have a brother who was convicted with his colleague for an offence on conspiracy by the state. They both file for appeal thereafter differently by different lawyers at the court of appeal. One of them has just been discharged and acquainted. Now my question is, by virtue of one of them being discharged does it automatically means the other guy who is my brother will also be discharged? As his case is yet to be heard
Family / Re: Legal Advice Needed Urgently by yinkaoke(f): 8:55pm On Mar 10, 2019
Thanks a lot for your response. If our lawyer goes the same way of presentation with the lucky discharged friend we should get the same good result
MrBrownJay1:

absolutely NOT....it just means that the lawyer of that dude was able to convince the jury/state that "his client" (and him only) was not guilty of the charges brought against him.

now it is down to your brother's lawyer to do the same thing.

51 Billion Naira on offer, 610 Billion Naira subscription. Guys going for the lockdown in droves. Why rate no go crash. Simple law of Demand and Supply in play here. bulk of this money will be hanging around the corner in 2 weeks time and rates will drop further.

I have said it months before the election that anyone that got 15% to lock it down instead of waiting for the days of 18 and 19%.

1. In Late December, i locked down Sukuk Bond of 15.6% for 7 years
2. Mid February Treasury Bils 14.95% 364 day locked down at stanbic
3. Mid February Treasury Bills Secondary market another bank 14.4% 358 days locked down.

If i had waited for the kill, i would have regretted.

@United4real
Please how were you able to go about investing in Sukuk bond as an individual investor. kindly share the steps involve.

Thanks

Exactly. Hehehehehe. Your point on the ponzi term was funny but true.

Thanks a lot for this its a caution and made more sense. Like i said earlier I am doing my due diligence on a few proved ones owned by Banks and multinationals.

One of the Logic of every business is that you invest fewer sum in an unknown/risk territory that you have done lots of research on but there are not further data for further research as such you test the waters with fewer resources of less value.

Ever read who move my cheese, I am an investor in that light of wisdom.

Once again many thanks for your wisdom.

I would say it depends on the micro finance banks. The only Microfinance bank I can trust is NPF, and that's because I can see their books and know how much assets they have, profits and other things so they basically look strong and don't seem like the type that can go burst anytime soon. With that said, putting your money in a micro finance bank you don't know their financial standing and liquidity is a risk. My advice is to research the bank well, and if you are satisfied... go on and do it. Another thing to note is, such high rates means they are desperate. You only have to look at the primary market to see how much CBN is selling the original thing. If Stanbic and co have lower or equal rates, why should a small Microfinance bank have something higher? There are so many stories that touch with micro finance banks. Do your proper research and after you are satisfied with your findings make your conclusion... but my own conclusion is those deals even though they are juicy, reek of more risk you don't need for a few extra %.

Thanks so much you made lots of sense; but let me say this, why I may not agree with seeing their high rates as being desperate. Do you know that mico finance bank serves majorly the grass root people and do you also know how much they give out loan to their customers, their loan interest to their customers is mostly 60% annual, so a fixed deposit fund of even 25% is still ideal for a well functioning micro finance Banks. their interest on loan is far higher/expensive than that of the Banks and also easy to access.

I completely accept with your advice on doing my due diligence before engaging my fund. I am on top of that just need someone with experience to share and some brain thought through experts

Bro don't do it. If it is not a regular bank it is not a bank

I appreciate your response and would be more grateful if your response is constructive.

do you know that some of the Banks own shares in some of the Micro finance banks, some is even fully owned by some banks, So?....

and they are equally regulated by CBN as someone rightly said, so please I need someone with an experience and or a logical reasons why I should or should not.

Hello house,

Please does anyone know about investing in any of the micro finance bank for Fixed deposit; I got their rate guide today and its so high and tempting, I need to know if theirs any risk associated with investing with them.

there rates are 15%, 17% and 18% for fund in the range of N1M - N9M for 90,180, 270 & 360days.

Please any one ever placed funds with them
Investment / Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by yinkaoke(f): 12:15pm On Oct 05, 2018
By now, rates for treasury bills should be above 13.5% particularly for 364days where it has peached for some time now, no thanks to the Banks(PDMM), who has in recent times bided low for fear of losing their bids.

It seems to me that CBN is using the two Tb’s market to play down the rates; they in recent times use the Primary market to beat down the rate observing the liquidity levels, then come in through the OMO (Secondary market) to mop up the excess liquidity at their idea rates which must have being their CAP.

All in all it is the banks(PDMM’s) that can help to force them to push up this rates if they drastically reduce their demands.

@sammily: your attached template works perfectly well for GTB as it gives one the exact upfronts with all applicable charges. But it does not work exact for First Bank, I have tried it severally but it doesn't work, it only give your an idea though.

Please does any one the template for First Bank?
