TROVE AS A TRADING PLATFORM
I am getting concerned here, we need to take trading as serious business and as much as possible for those of us that have some money in the market and we want improvement, there is no time for joking.

For now I can confirm that Trove is good, previously Chaka use to be better until the introduction of this new platform ( I will not comment further on the platform as only an experience and serious investor trader will know that the old platform was more Client friendly than this new one).

Going further for Chaka and Trove to place trades, using your phone seems to give better result than using computer (I don't know why). Below I have shown screen short of a test order I tried to place using limit order just as I was typing this post, to some extent our internet connection may also be a culprit in few instances for things not working as expected.

Yesterday we did our stress test as usual on Trove, it was a pass mark. To chip in a small advice on getting our money faster, when T+2 is completed, in the morning before market opens send a mail to the platform (any of them) from your order history attach a screen short of what you have sold that is due for payment, tell the broker that you will be withdrawing your money when market opens, I am sure the payment will not be delayed, the worst you may get is the morning dropping that evening and probably the following morning.

For the market today look like we are going to have a though day, not a surprise it happens as per the end of the quarter on big funds mode of operations. On stock picks, our recent suggestions still look okay, if we can withstand the heat of the market CLOV is good as a long time play. For meme stocks: PLAY, MRIN, PSTH, WKHS WISH etc.

Market is at a point where retracement is possible, support still stands at 14,000. Surprised that as at the time of writing this mail the trending stocks have suddenly shifted to safe stocks (looking funny, I thought meme stock pickers are looking for risk/growth?), I believe this is a temporary thing, especially looking at the fact that we are moving to the end of the month/end of a quarter. Market is not easy to predict, late rally plus the improving after market report for yesterday has renewed the hope for the continuation of a green market for today.

MY EXPERIENCE RECENTLY COMPARING CHAKA AND TROVE

For now I will say Trove has proof to be the better of the 2 for the following reasons:
-More stocks available. There a number of stocks that are available on Trove that are not in Chaka, big surprise e.g VIH, ZOM, FTFT. If you are complaining of more stocks, then I don't know what you will say of Chaka. Don't let us be like the "Comrado" in kegite club that is asking for more questions in the exam hall instead of more answer sheet, over 4000 stocks or even more, what do you need again, should be noted that most equities that may not be available are either penny stocks, or small companies etc
-1% commission flat- For me this is the killer. I can trade my last kobo on Trove without anybody offering me any incentive, I don't even need it for now. Imaging using the last 5 - $4 on my account (can't trade on Chaka with small money, the commission on small trades is not worth it). This is fantastic
- Simple trading platform and very transparent. New Chaka platform seems not better than the previous one, for example, in chaka (if using computer) my individual stocks shows only gain for the day, for me this is useless, I prefer my portfolio showing me my total profit or loss, I don't need excel sheet to know my total portfolio loss or profit percentage
-On the availability of money after selling to be available for immediate usage, Trove was fantastic, but Chaka for last 2 days seems to be equally doing this. We hope the 2 platforms continues.
- Stress test, for now looking at the companies systems/controls (I will prefer Trove, the control on things going wrong on depositors funds looks better). For now on the 2 platforms there is no problem with getting out your sales proceeds.
- Deposited money on Trove gets reflected fast, you don't need to scan deposit slip to them. For Chaka, you need to send scan deposit slip to support before your deposit is credited, I was just thinking in my mind, does it mean my money will not be credited if I do not scan deposit/transfer slip (chaka should answer the question themselves)

We can tell of our individual practical experience on these platforms, no assumption please.

Conclusion, Chaka need to do some catch up at this moment. On Trove I will like us to encourage them to see if they can improve further for now I will give them a pass mark of 55% (this is good mark), they are good looking at the challenges of doing business in Nigeria, Generator must be on at least 8hrs a day for most offices!!!

COMMENDATION FOR TROVE
Today, Trove surprised me. The platform worked perfectly. I sold a stock, then used the proceed to buy another one immediately. Not even once, I placed a limit order, the price jumped far ahead of my indicated price level, I cancelled and to my utmost surprise Trove credited my account immediately (this is normal for a good platform like TD, Robin hood & Co, but for Nigerian plaforms it is a luxury) , with money for the failed order and I promptly placed a market order to buy my desired stock. Wonderful performance from Trove, I hope they will keep it up.

Generally the market has been good to us, thus we want to buy & sell more than we have done in the past. Only for those not ln our whatapp group, we say sorry for your losses, we are prepared to take more money from the losers!

The only thing is that I will miss the set and forget system at Chaka (I put in my order, then put in a target profit level/stop loss and then forget about the trade). We have been making money with our resent recommendations like magic, our mind is already thinking of the next move ,for now bulls are back you can buy some of our recommendations ($PLTR, $NNDM)for easy money. For the next market pullback we need to have some money in $ABCL (Abcellera) for the medium/longtime play, it is an investment in an upcoming industry.

[/b]Bull are back in the game. Time to pocket some money in ZOM (Zomedical), AQMS, ASX (Ase Industry )/other low priced chipmakers.Wll not be surprised to see some of the names we have mentioned in the highest price gainers list this week.

On testing the local brokers; Trove and chaka are just manageable. These platforms are constantly having one issue or another. [b]Recently Chaka was rejecting sale of a stock I had in my portfolio (it only took my insistence that the company should sell the stock herself before issue could be resolve), again tried to but TRXC, platform refused to buy despite the availability of the stock. For Trove, just this friday I withdrew money from my account, expected positive balance was now showing negative, thus depriving me use of my available fund.

In conclusion we can say that the local brokers are just necessary evil, but we have to continue managing them probably before we decide to go for a good foreign broker. If this tick of finding childish way of withholding client's money, platform showing your positive wallet as negative balance will stop, somebody like me will be okay with the Chaka & Trove[b], the number of equities over 3,000/4000 available on the platform is no issue for someone like me

I do not like to be under pressure, especially at a time when there is some uncertainty in the market, I want to go for the best trades only. This week, I will buy a stock like GPRO without fear.

On a final note we should keep ourselves informed when Chaka or Trove add these new equities we are looking for. I want to inform the group that EBON and SOS are now in both apps. These stocks look promising but may need to wait to buy on pullback, technically in the immediate timeframe SOS looks the better of the 2. On our stress test, chaka is good (I don't know what just changed their fortune recently). For Trove we still pissed off with their service, no doubt they are a small company at the moment (so don't expect too much from them) , but due to few options, we use them for our low priority trades. It is a case of having 10 chicken, we eat 1 and still have 11 chicken left, despite selling some equity, the reduced portfolio is higher making our selling of no effect, cool!. Still bullish on OPK, CODX, SRNE [/b]etc more details for our subscribers for free.

[b]On stress test I am still worried about our local trading apps, I will continue to withdraw my fund from time to time to look for sign of financial or operational weakness, don't mind the fact that some paid sympathizers will attack the truth just like we see in the beginning for passportfolio or whatever their name is, how can a broker list earning interest on Client's money as a source of income " are they our bankers", "money in my trading account is money in transit , it should keep moving" . We are happy to support our own, but with childish tricks like not returning my money after a failed order, platform failing to allow me place buy/sell order when I want ( I tried to buy Ethereum on Trove over 6 times on both phone and laptop it keeps failing) it seems we have no option but to look for the like s of 212, I am praying that sites like TD Ameritade, Interactive etc starts accepting Nigerians.
