THAT AUDACIOUS CONDEMNATION OF THE NIGERIAN POLICE FORCE WAS ILL-CONCEIVED!

That the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), is the worst security organisation in the world in terms of its "inability to handle internal security challenges", is the cruellest, wicked, uncharitable and most unpatriotic assumption that any person or group of persons could ever adduce to the present crop of dedicated, courageous, diligent and very brave officers and men of this noble profession of the Change Administration of President Muhammadu Buhari and his management team!
The 2016 World Internal Security and Police Index (WISPI), negative report - credited to two organisations, on 10th November, 2017, was based on hearsay since it failed to consider the United Nations credit rating that the Force has been a consistent best global law-enforcement institution in foreign peace-keeping operations! And at the home front, NPF has proved to be well-established and vibrant in terms of organisation, administration, communications, advocacy, operational capabilities, and the most consolidated and credible institution that Nigeria could boast of, even in the face of socio-economic and political challenges!
The maintenance of law, order, peace, tranquillity, and enforcement of all lawful orders from government are some of the core duties which the Force had been saddled with since middle 20th Century till date!
It is evident that the controversial ranking was based on the ability of POLICE to address Internal Security issues in 127 Countries in four key areas of (1) Capacity, (2) Process, (3) Legitimacy and (4) Outcomes, as criteria, not through research but on adulterated social media stories without considering the serious international diplomatic implications!

THE NIGERIAN POLICE FORCE IS THE BREATH AND LIVE-WIRE OF NIGERIAN GOVERNMENTS & PATRIOTIC CITIZENS BECAUSE THEY ARE INVOLVED IN EVERY FACET OF THE PEOPLE'S SOCIAL, POLITICAL & ECONOMIC LIVES:
* They settle community/marital squabbles at the police posts/stations in all 774 Local Government Areas;
* Provide security in their vicinities at night, when they are fast asleep;
* They are at traffic duties in the day time to ease congestion; These ubiquitous officers are in the market places/shopping plazas/motor parks to prevent crimes and criminalities.
*They are the MAJOR SECURITY FORCE constitutionally recognized to provide adequate security during all ELECTIONS across the length and breadth of Nigeria!!

HISTORY:

(a) The Nigeria Police was established with a meagre 30 men in the June 1861, as a Consular Guard made up of Lagos natives, specifically to take care of community policing, but has now grown in numerical strength to over 360.000 high-tech-trained, and efficient officers and men with modern weapons to deal with all-conflicting issues of crimes and criminalities of the 21st Century.

(b) CAPACITY-building in the Force has been very progressive through a well-designed, deliberate, meticulous and painstaking process which took into cognisance, officers enhancement in literacy, mental/physical capabilities, welfare and adequate remunerations, with successive team managers who piloted the Force patiently as it progressed to the Hausa Police (1863), Royal Niger Constabulary (1886), Niger Coast Constabulary (1894), Crime Detection Department (1898), Northern Nigeria Police Force (1900), Fire Brigade (1901), Southern Nigeria Police Force (1906), Amalgamation/Consolidation: The Nigeria Police Force (1930), Constitutional Establishment of NPF at Independence (1960); and Subsequent Constitutional Recognition in all Democratic Administrations (1963,1979,1999).

(c) From inception in 1861 until Nigeria's Independence in 1960, the British Colonial masters were very courteous to build up the NPF in line with international best practice, through incisive personnel training - (locally and overseas), by tested officers from the renown Britain's Metropolitan/Scotland Yard Police Departments - to acquire modern ideas, tactics and deployment of technological equipments as the world gradually turns out to become a civilized global village.

(d) PROCESS of administration and growth in the NPF, has been gradual, - taking into consideration that the country experienced an inglorious CIVIL WAR shortly after independence, from July, 1967 to January, 1970. During that unfortunate 30-month-old war which consumed much lives and properties between Biafran secessionists and the Nigerian troops, the role of the Police as the enforcers of law and order, diminished tremendously because the Nigerian Army (established in 1960), took over their numerous responsibilities through Internal Security (IS) Operations, and were thus treated as subordinates and relegated to the background in a country run by martial laws.

(e) LEGITIMACY of the Police in almost 30 years of military interregnum, (1967-1999), was at its lowest ebb since the Nigerian Constitution was thrown overboard and the Force became a shadow of its pre-eminent position before 1960, but coped efficiently through submission, courage, resilience and perseverance only to enter into a new dawn of another 8-year quasi civilian/military administration of former Nigerian Army General, Aremu Olusegun Obasanjo, 1999-2007, who introduced the "do-or-die" commando style into the democratic arena before his departure from the political scene!

(f) OUTCOME of all of the above is now the branding of the "CHANGE NPF" under the able mentorship/leadership of no other personality than the Nigerian Brand himself - President Muhhamadu Buhari, GCFR, who identified the great potentials of the indomitable and indefatigable qualities of the NPF as the only solid foundation on which his democratic agenda for adequate and water-tight 24-hour security of lives, properties and strategic infrastructures heavily depended and therefore left IGP Solomon Arase, (appointed by ex-President Jonathan), to complete his term before appointing the incumbent, Ibrahim K. Idris in July 2016!

NIGERIAN POLICE IS GLOBAL BEST!
The Nigerian Police High Command on Monday 13th November, 2017, dismissed the said rating as unempirical, claimed its officers and men to be the BEST IN THE WORLD instead of the Singapore Police (adjudged as NO. 1), and urged all Nigerians and the International Community to disregard the report which also scored the country 0.255, below DR Congo, Kenya, Uganda and Pakistan, as unfounded and misleading.
The strength of about 370.000 Police personnel in the country stands out at around One (1) policeman to less than Six Hundred (600) people in a population estimate of One Hundred Million (180.000.000) Nigerians but the Federal Government has ordered immediate recruitment of additional 10.000 Police personnel while the Inspector General has equally requested for annual recruitment of 31.000 men for a period of five years, in order to make up for the shortfall in personnel strength to fulfil the United Nation's recommendation of One policeman to 400 citizens.

BAD COPS ARE NOT SPARED BY POLICE HIGH COMMAND!
The NPF is the only Para-military organisation with constitutional powers for the prevention and detection of crime, the apprehension of offenders, the preservation of law and order, the protection of property and the due enforcement of all laws and regulations with which they are directly charged, and shall perform such military duties within or without Nigeria as may be required of them.
In the discharge of these very daunting duties, the Force had to cope with some "BAD COPS" who attempted to smear the dogged and formidable image which had been built with sweat and blood of PAST HEROES in 156 years and would have succeeded but for the determined courage of the majority population of highly efficient and dedicated officers who had kept the flag flying through lawful discharge of their constitutional duties with decorum and probity.

In all of the years of existence of the NPF, junior officers of the Rank and File, had been the BLACK SHEEP until IGP, Mustapha Adebayo Balogun, (2002-2005), who was alleged to have hired thousands of officers with criminal records during his tenure was eventually indicted and later convicted over corruption charges!
THE FORCE HAS ITS OWN IN-HOUSE DISCIPLINARY AND CLEANSING MECHANISM WHICH ENSURES THAT NO OFFENCE, MISDEMEANOR OR CRIME COMMITED BY ANY MEMBER IS EVER COVERED UP! From the recruits to all Superior Police Officers (SPOs), crimes - including extra-judicial killings - were exposed and punished adequately according to the law and that why it was not easy for ex-IGP 'Tafa Balogun to wriggle out of the accusations that were proven against him at the law courts!

STRONG LEADERS MUST BE SUPPORTED TO BUILD STRONG INSTITUTIONS!
We advocate that government institutions should be strengthened to outlive all strong and charismatic leaders of this generation and those yet unborn in credibility, probity and equity in the execution of all defined constitutional duties, functions and performances!
PMB was once castigated by ex-Prime Minister David Cameron, who alluded that Nigeria and Afghanistan were "fantastically corrupt countries", because Transparency International's Corruption Perceptions Index for 2015, (released in January 2016), ranked Nigeria in the 136th position out of 168 countries as the most corrupt nation in the world since 2014, but President Buhari was neither deterred by the negative comments nor the obnoxious ratings, instead, he was rather encouraged to carry on the crusade to purge the stigma and turn the nation around to become one of the 20 MOST ECONOMICALLY-VIABLE NATIONS BY THE YEAR 2020!

The Nigeria Police Management Team should follow suit. They should discountenance the HATE REPORT OF WISPI and move on to a greater level of superior professionalism, dexterity, tenacity of purpose, diligence and above all resilience, in order to put their detractors to everlasting shame and prove to the whole world that they have come a long way to become a very STRONG AND RELIABLE INSTITITION! There is a general consensus that good governance would engender stable economies and peaceful societies. The divine institutionalisation of human government was informed through a deliberate defiance to THEOCRACY (the Lordship of the Sovereign God over His own creation), by the people of past centuries before democratic and socialists institutions!
It is therefore not surprising that major decisions of governments ( socio-economic, political or military), were usually pronounced by the highest authorities like, Supreme Military Council, (SMC), Armed Forces Revolutionary Council, (AFRC), Supreme Executive Council, (SEC), Federal Executive Council (FEC), etc which usually took precedence and without recurrence to the divine authority of God even in the event of the supreme judgement of death - and yet human governance was divinely ordained! When Prophet Joshua took over the mantle of leadership of Israel from Prophet Moses, the LORD spoke to him in this manner: “.........as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee, I will not fail thee nor forsake thee. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth: but thou shall meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shall make thy way prosperous and then thou shall have good success."(Joshua. 1:.


Are today's leaders hearing from God as did the prophets of old?
Biblical scripture has it that the Jewish people of Israel in the Old Testament period, whom the LORD chose to showcase His divine attributes of love, holiness, righteousness, purity, perfection, etc, to the rest of the entire universe, as an UTOPIA to be desired and emulated, messed up badly and provoked Him to vent an unrestrained anger of dispersion and enslavement to the generations before the 1948 re-establishment of Israel as a new nation in Palestine after World War II! Old Israel rejected the Almighty God as her sole Administrator and divine ruler in spite of warnings against such decision by Prophet Samuel (I Samuel. 8: 4-22), and had to suffer terrible consequences for their wrong decision rebellion through world-dispersion! (735-586BC).
There is an ethical problem that is plaguing the universe, which is the need for a profound public theology which should afford divine interpretation of all events in the affairs of men especially in the areas of defiance, rebellion and disobedience to moral/divine laws and commandments - all of which emanate from the Word of God, whether they were enacted through the Fingers of God or by the Lord Jesus Christ who says, “I have not come to destroy the laws and the prophets, but I have come to fulfil them." (Matthew. 5:17).
That today, the CARNAL MAN could easily ignore the dictations of his conscience and religiously follow after all waves of worldly doctrines in respect of the ephemeral, is an issue that should attract global attention at this critical period of APOCALYPSE when predictions are rife that the end of the world is very much at hand!
The United States of America (USA), came to terms with God, following several years of divine relationship which kept them as the most outstanding nation, blessed with the milk and honey of an enviable economy, stable governments since 1776, military prowess of a super power, industrial and manufacturing dexterity, tourism, an exquisite film industry/entertainment conglomerate that is unrivalled globally - and reached this undisputable conclusion of their motto which states as follows: "IN GOD WE TRUST"! But, in spite of the above accolades, the worst kinds of crimes, criminalities, atrocities, mayhems, and senseless killings by demented gunmen still occur in God's own country; which brings to the fore that though a whole country may propagate godliness, some misguided elements would still create dents in the overall scorecard!

Also in the United States of Nigeria (USN), efforts are made in the same direction through the new APC Administration for the citizens to become more patriotic, imbibe the spirit of godliness and embrace the attitudinal change and the re-orientation slogan of, "CHANGE BEGINS WITH ME" Barely fifteen months into the new government, on 8th September, 2016, of the All Progressives Congress (APC), President Muhammadu Buhari, launched the mass re-orientation and revolutionary initiative to canvass the co-operation of Nigerians in ensuring fulfilment of his campaign promises to deliver the mandatory dividends of democratic governance in terms of socio-economic reforms hand-in-hand with the citizenry!

But more importantly, the campaign demanded for patriotism through a united front to achieve the very tasking and arduous duties of
(1) Reviving a dying economy caused by the deliberate looting of the treasury by previous administrations,
(2) A total war to annihilate elongated terrorism by Boko Haram insurgents and
(3) Destruction of the roots of all corruptive tendencies among the populace!
The President believed that a determined citizenry would be God-fearing, disciplined and patriotic enough to shun imported goods and services and opt for "Made-in-Nigeria" products, expose the thieves and pen-robbers in the system, through the "whistle-blower" initiative, give security information that would also expose sponsors of the recalcitrant insurgency etc! In spite of the focus of the new administration, political jobbers in Nigeria are all jostling for positions and ephemeral power again in a do-or-die manner even before the INEC's whistle to announce declaration of intentions or the campaign time tables, without any recourse to divine approval. Because they are ungodly, they now run from pillar to post to gamble for political party elective offices under different guises of Chairmanship and General/Publicity Secretary positions, for lack of divine wisdom that it was only God who could give such favours! ‘’.......for without Me, you can do nothing’’ (John 15:5b).

Prophet Daniel said, "Blessed be the name of God forever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him. (Daniel 2:20-22) KJV.

In the Dispensation of Human Government in the New Testament period, God specifically exhorted, world citizens through Paul the Apostle in Romans.13: 1-13, (KJV), that World Governments have His mandate to rule justly and with godly fear and vice versa for godly children to live righteously:
"Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

NIGERIA, as the undisputable Giant of Africa in numerical strength, highest Gross Domestic Product (GDP), economic/military strength, outstanding international peace-keeping records etc, and having celebrated 57 years as an independent nation, should not continue to be hood-winked with a bogus 1999 Military Document, which National Assembly Legislators still romance with great passion to their advantage!

This inherited martial laws have caused greater havoc in diversity instead of uniting the over 500 tribes, 250 languages/tongues and whereas, a concise, unambiguous, articulate, authentic, and more pragmatic brand new National Constitution should be highly beneficial and more advantageous for this great nation in order to maintain a convincing leadership role in all ramifications, over and above other countries in the Black African Continent!
But the present crop of Legislators of the National Assembly (NASS), who are constitutionally saddled with the duties of LAW-MAKING, think otherwise because they are procrastinating the urgent need for the inauguration of both the CONSTITUTION REVIEW COMMITTEE AND CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY that would draft/craft a fresh and genuine constitutional document of "WE THE PEOPLE OF NIGERIA .......and not the 1999 FRAUD, which should have read, "WE THE MILITARY JUNTA OF NIGERIA... ; to replace, nullify and abrogate the booby-trap bequeathed to Nigerians! Though the legislators are pretentious to be disillusioned over this lingering and volatile debate, the advocacy, public outcry and demands for a BRAND NEW CONSTITUTION, by all CIVIL SOCIETY/NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANISATIONS, (CSOs,&NGOs), in Nigeria and Diaspora, have taken the front burner before the Change Administration, for urgent implementation.
The cumbersome, tedious, fruitless and frustrating journey of "constitutional amendments" (beginning with a harmonized NASS version that must be approved by two-thirds majority of both chambers; and on to the transmission of the proposed amendments to the 36 States Assemblies for the approval of each Assembly by two-thirds majority; and the eventual return journey of the approved document to NASS for a fresh harmonization; before a CLEAN COPY would be forwarded to the President for ASSENT; an exercise in futility that always ended in wastages of scarce funds is no longer acceptable by Nigerians!


GLARING FLAWS OF THE UNITARY 1999 MILITARY CONSTITUTION!

(1) It is common knowledge that all military institutions organisation charts are vertically-integrated and unitary in nature and so is the 1999 Constitution handed over to the Nigerian people at their disengagement from partisan politics on 29th May, 1999 devoid of the impute of a National Conference, Plebiscite or even a Referendum!
(2) Greater powers are vested to the centre i.e. the Presidency, more that the Federating States;
(3) All lands in the country were grabbed in the military fashion through the obnoxious LAND USE ACT, thereby depriving the citizens of decent/adequate accomodations and farm lands that could serve as colaterals;
(4) The social contracts which include human rights to potable water, food security/sufficiency, motorable roads, arable lands for massive agricultural diversification of the economy, employment opportunities, national living wages, pension facilities to the aged and retired workers etc,;
(5) The entire Constitution was written in the masculine gender to marginalize the women, who have greater figures in the national population of 170 million people and the pronoun, "he" is regarded as UNISEX;
(6) Other notable flaws can be found in the State Creation, the Electoral Organisers expected to be members of political parties, the Judiciary and Ministry of Finance where professional and political offices are merged into one office to create more confusion; lack of a defined autonomous status of Local governments; ambiguous fiscal and revenue-sharing formula between Federal and State governments etc, many of these confusions have been re-defined at the apex court with very little reprieve!
THERE ARE SO MANY OTHER CONFLICTS IN THE 1999 CONSTITUTION THAT ARE FAR MORE THAN THOSE LISTED ABOVE AND CANNOT FIND SPACE IN THIS TREATISE!


LEGISLATORS DELIBERATE DERELICTION OF DUTY!

The National Assembly on assumption of office 1999 discovered these ambiguities, inadequacies, irregularities/shortcomings/lacunas which should have prompted quick intervention during the 4th and 5th Assemblies of ex-President Obasanjo's tenure, but delayed the evil day which has eventually reared its ugly head in the form of demands for diverse kinds of RESTRUCTURING, like DEVOLUTION OF POWER from the CENTRE to federating States, RESOURCE CONTROL by Crude Oil producing States, reversal to REGIONAL system of the 1960s and even - SECESSION!

The Boko Haram insurgency began in 2009 through claims of marginalization by the SECT, while PRO-BIAFRA GROUPS also hinged their protests on a similar grouse, but instead of setting in motion necessary modalities for the crafting of a brand new constitution, to rectify all identified anomalies, these selfish legislators embarked on brain-washing the citizens with the doctrine of constitutional amendments as a way out of the quagmire because the labyrinth of similes, metaphors and innuendos with which the offending 1999 Constitution was laced, "favoured" them with immense financial benefits!


MAD RUSH FOR NIGERIA'S GOLD-MINE POLITICS!

The faulty military document created the stampede of new breed of mercenary "do-or-die" politicians between 1999 and 2015, and the desperados were quick to jump ship from one Party to another as long as they would gain relevance in the band wagon of money-monger gangs and no remarkable achievement was recorded in the direction of crafting a new Constitution!
In fact, the last exercise of the un-amendable jig-saw puzzles in the 1999 Constitution during ex-President Jonathan's administration, was thrown into the garbage bin while the present and ongoing attempt has hit a brick wall because, for very ambitious, selfish and greedy reasons both chambers are yet to harmonize all areas of discords among the 33 Major Bills which were voted on - an exact repetition of the 2014 document which Jonathan refused to sign into law because of selfish desires of the legislators to whittle down and eventually usurp Executive and presidential powers!


NASS INNOVATION OF "DOCTRINE OF NECESSITY"!

The late President Umaru Yar'Adua (2007-2010), left Nigeria for medical treatment in Saudi Arabia without fulfilling the constitutional "hand-over" provision (Section 145 of the 1999 constitution), to his Vice, Ebele Jonathan, and thus created a lacuna in the full throttle of day-to-day administration because the latter could not exercise full authority as Executive President/Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, in acting capacity!
Was Jonathan not embarrassed, restricted, hampered, and unable to administer the nation as the ailment of the incumbent president prolonged BECAUSE THE DUMMY 1999 CONSTITUTION DID NOT MAKE PROVISION FOR AN ALTERNATIVE ACTION TO REMEDY SUCH ABSENCE OF CHANGE OF GUARDS IF IT WAS OMITTED OR DELIBERATELY SIDE-LINED, as in that instance, until the Senate came up with the invention of a "DOCTRINE OF NECESSITY", which then gave Ebele Jonathan, the constitutional power of an Acting President?


THE URGENT COMMISSIONING OF A CONSTITUTION REVIEW COMMITTEE AND CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY BY APC IS IMPERATIVE!

The duty of a Constituent Assembly (CA), to be composed by representatives from the SIX GEO-POLITICAL ZONES CONSTITUENCIES will be to DELIBERATE upon a draft constitution to be produced by Constitution Review Committee (CRC), made up of TRUE, LEGITIMATE, & BONA-FIDE PEOPLE OF NIGERIA from all walks of life - politicians, CSO's, NGO's, university youths/students, the ivory tower scholars, technocrats, professionals, industrialists, captains of industries, lawyers, judges, the aged, motor drivers, market women, traders, farmers, the physically disadvantaged, the rich and the poor, etc; from all the 774 Local Government Areas of the federation, and then PAINSTAKINGLY SIFT AND THOROUGHLY VET the document for Executive approval by the FEDERAL EXECUTIVE COUNCIL (FEC), as a brand new CONSTITUTION of the Federal Republic of Nigeria! This feat can be achieved before the next elections!
THE "ABRACADABRA" 2014 NATIONAL CONFERENCE OF EX-PRESIDENT JONATHAN (OF 492 DELEGATES AND WHICH GULPED ABOUT N18 BILLION OF THE TAX-PAYERS MONEY), IS STILL FRESH IN MEMORY OF NIGERIANS - THOUGH THE ENTIRE EXCERCISE WENT DOWN THE DRAIN AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE AND DELEGATES WHO SHOULD HAVE BEEN PROSECUTED FOR ECONOMIC SABOTAGE ARE WALKING FREE!
A BRAND NEW CONSTITUTION WILL TAKE CARE OF THE COMMON MAN'S NEEDS AND HE WOULD BEGIN TO ENJOY A BRAND NEW LIFE DEVOID OF RANCOUR AND ACRIMONY! It is written," When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn."(Prov 29:2 KJV)

NASS LEGISLATORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR DELAYED IMPLIMENTATION OF THE 2017 BUDGET, NOT THE EXECUTIVE!

Legislators of Nigeria's 8th National Assembly (NASS), are biting more than they can chew and we strongly believe that Nigerians are better off without these crowd of 469 persons who are draining the nation’s coffers through outrageous secret salaries, allowances/emoluments and are also bent on running the economy aground through perennial delays of the 2017 Budget through dubious OVERSIGHT FUNCTIONS!
According to NASS sources, the legislators unilaterally increased their annual budget from N115 billion naira in 2016 to N125 billion naira in 2017 - an increase of N10 billion naira, which clearly portrays a spirit of greed, selfishness and insincerity as overall emoluments in a period of national economic challenges when they should have at least surrendered 50% of their overall emolument to further support Capital expenditures that would trickle down to the downtrodden as positive dividends of democracy!

Not satisfied with that illegal increase, they still PADDED the Executive's total figure of N 7.28 trillion, submitted on 14th December, 2016 to N7.44 trillion which the legislators jointly passed on 11th May, 2017, and this impunity caught the ire of the Professor Osinbajo who commented as follows:
"There are two broad issue about who could do what. The first report is about who can do what. When you present a budget to the National Assembly, it is presented as a bill an appropriation bill. And secondly, do not introduce entirely new projects and all of that or modify projects. This is something that we experienced last year and this year again. It now leaves the question about who is supposed to do what" Not surprisingly, the barefaced accomplices in the 2015 NASS leadership coup de tat, Senator 'Bukola Saraki and Hon. Yakubu Dogara, have brazenly remarked that they would neither surrender their constitutional powers nor become a rubber stamp to the Executive!

In spite of the economic downturn as at May 2015 when APC came to power, due to global oil price fall, they insisted and collected wardrobe allowances, bought 469 brand new vehicles (jeeps/saloon cars), and turned deaf ears to public hues and cries! They oversight all other arms of government except themselves like the Ostrich which believes in its safety by burying its head in the sand forgetting that its entire huge body is exposed to danger!


LEGISLATORS SHED CROCODILE TEARS OVER THE "2017 BUDGET OF ECONOMIC RECOVERY AND GROWTH"!

Though it took over FIVE calendar months,14th December, 2016, (date of submission to NASS), to 12th June, 2017, (date of Presidential approval), these enemies of the TALAKAWAS, resumed from SEVEN, instead of SIX WEEKS of annual recess only to castigate the Executive of SLOW IMPLEMENTATION of the budget document which they deliberately delayed for their selfish reasons in the first instance because the more delays in budget vetting, and the final assent, the more the loopholes for manipulation, butchering and RE-CREATION of the document to suit the legislators insatiable appetite for accumulation of illicit wealth through BUDGET PADDING under the guise of OVERSIGHT FUNCTIONS!
The 2017 Budget was signed into law by the Acting President, Professor 'Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, on JUNE 12, a very significant day in the national history of Nigeria as a UNITED people, who did not believe in SECESSION as a form of RESTRUCTURING!
On their resumption on 26th September, 2017, they bemoaned the Executive over the slow implementation of the Budget within THREE MONTHS of Presidential assent, and quickly constituted a NASS JOINT COMMITTEE TO REVIEW THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE 2017 BUDGET, chaired by Senator Danjuma Goge, a two-term Governor of Gombe State, who wasted no time to summon both the Ministers of Budget/Planning and Finance to explain all about the delay when he as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriation, was neck deep in the whole maladministration!

At that meeting, held on Thursday 5th October, 2017, both Ministers told the Committee that Senate Legislators were responsible for the slow execution of the Budget because they refused to approve the external loan of $55.5 billion required for specific Capital Projects in respect of the Second Runway for the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja; Mambila Hydro Electric Project, Taraba ; Counter-part Funding of the Railway Line Projects and also, the completion of the six lane Lagos -Ibadan Express Way!

The Executive has forwarded a fresh letter of request in respect of the loan for faster execution of the budget on Wednesday 11 October, 2017. Also during the meeting, there was a consensus of opinion that if the January to December Financial Year System would not be viable, the uncompleted portions of the 2017 Budget should be rolled over into the 2018 Budget Appropriation which the Executive intends to submit before December 2017.


IS SENATOR GOJE THE IDEAL PERSON TO HEAD THE JOINT BUDGET COMMITTEE?

Like several of his colleagues in the Senate Red Chambers, Danjuma Goje is presently facing court trial on, conspiracy, mismanagement and embezzlement of public funds while he superintended over the affairs of Gombe State for EIGHT YEARS! And as Chairman of Senate Committee on Budget, he accused the Nigeria Police Force operatives for "stealing" the CLEAN COPY of the 2017 budget document during an official raid on his Abuja residence on Tuesday, 25th April, 2017' and said any blame on the delay of the appropriation document should be laid at their doorstep!

During that raid which Police authorities claimed was informed by a petition against the Senator, the following items, (which did not contain any FILE OF THE 2017 BUDGET), were found and removed into Police custody: N 18.056.000 million naira; $ 19, 850, US dollars; 9,400 Saudi Ryad; 38 files and Six Envelopes containing files on funds for Special Operations; File on Gombe State Government on Nigeria Cash Inflow; and File on Project 2007 Executive Briefs on How to Fight Opposition in Gombe State - Strategies and Tactics. Other were envelopes containing permit to operate as an OIL INDUSTRY SERVICE COY (Special Categories)!
The Inspector General of Police who was summoned by the Senate President on Wednesday, 26th September, 2017, has promptly returned all the files, envelopes and monies seized from Senator Danjuma Goje to him, and the whole incident swept under the carpet!


OF WHAT ADVANTAGE IS APC'S MAJORITY IN BOTH CHAMBERS?
That the All Progressives Congress (APC), ruling party has comfortable majority in the bi-cameral chambers of the National Assembly (NASS), and has not produced much positive gains in the revolutionary economic agenda of the Change Mantra is because of deliberate sabotage of the mixed multitude, especially within the RED CHAMBERS!
Right from inception on 9th June 2015, these enemies of the State, who were mostly PDP MOLES, left no one in doubt of their 'modus operandi', which was to subtly dis-organize the APC by constituting themselves into "household enemies" within the ruling family, having benefitted immensely and saturated during 16 years of an unbridled institutional-backed corruption, (1999-2015), and which they planned to sustain by remaining in the ruling government to avoid official probes and eventual prosecution!

It is an open secret that Abubakar Saraki would not have continuously sat as Senate President for over TWO years with Senator Ike Ekeremadu of the People's Democratic Party, if he did not have diabolical support of his accomplices with whom he upturned APC's Party Supremacy!
They constituted themselves into an OPPOSITION GROUP within the APC and orchestrated a face-off with the Executive in the THIRD QUARTER of 2016 when they rejected the list of about 48 non-career ambassadorial nominees by President Muhammadu Buhari; rejected the Executive Mid-Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF), document which Ali Ndume, as the then Senate Leader described as an "EMPTY DOCUMENT"; rejected US$ 29.9 foreign loan request by Mr. President meant to cushion the biting effects of the economic recession and refused to confirm Mr. Ibrahim Magu as the substantive Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)!

This time around in the FOURTH QUARTER of 2017, the legislators have delayed Executive request for a foreign loan of $5.5 billion US dollars to execute critical capital expenditures that would be economically beneficial to the downtrodden masses in the areas of CAPITAL PROJECTS that would be beneficial to the masses!

THERE IS A CONCENSUS OF OPINION THAT BUDGETS SHOULD NOT BE EXECUTED WITH LOANS BUT NO COUNTRY (EVEN THE UNITED STATES), HAS EVER BEEN STIGMATISED FOR VENTURING INTO BORROWING BECAUSE IT IS A GLOBAL NORM!

Although Nigeria's debt profile is on the increase and debt management payments are skyrocketing, one great advantage is that the borrowed monies are channelled to lucrative CAPITAL VENTURES that would facilitate smooth pay backs and will always attract foreign and local investments; but the legislators who have always constituted themselves into THE CLOG IN THE WHEEL OF OUR COLLECTIVE PROGRESS MUST GIVE WAY TO THE CHANGE MANTRA!
A UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENT OF TWO REPRESENTATIVES FROM EACH STATE AND THE FEDERAL CAPITAL TERRITORY, WILL WORK ON PART-TIME AND COLLECT CIVIL SERVANTS REMUNERATION IS MOST IDEAL FOR THE CHANGE AGENDA! A STITCH IN TIME SAVES NINE!

When the First Lady, Mrs. Aisha Buhari, granted the BBC Hausa Programme, an interview which seemed at variance and antagonistic to President Muhammadu Buhari's ideological Change Agenda, political pundits frowned at her audacity and defiance which confirmed the speculation that there was a chasm of misunderstanding and a lacuna between the first Nigerian couple!
Mrs. Buhari's grouse then was that political charlatans, who did not contribute to the success of APC at the polls, had hijacked the Presidency through a diabolical cabal, while the President's foot soldiers, who gave him victory at the elections in 2015, had been totally sidelined and abandoned high and dry! But the President who was then in Germany, on an official tour, dismissed her concern with a laughable joke and reminded her of her subordinate position as wife and not a politician!

"Could it be that the BBC would have preferred the scenarios of past administrations which were characterized by institutional corruption in which all manner of political and official appointments were predicated on political patronage of "who knows who",

because the crux of the grouse against the present administration was its uncompromising stand of neither SHARING OFFICIAL POSITIONS NOR THE MONEY!
"We can categorically inform all Nigerians that the rumours surrounding the HIJACK BY A CABAL WITHIN THE APC 's GOVERNMENT as also postulated by Senator Saraki and his cohorts is nothing short of the figments of their imagination because the GRAPE HAS TURNED SOUR FOR PILFERERS OF THE COMMON WEALTH who pressured unsuccessfully to scrap the Treasury Single Account (TSA), for their covetous advantage!



APC'S POLARIZATION - IS THERE TRULY ANOTHER GOVERNMENT WITHIN THE RULING GOVERNMENT?

Prior to the first lady's outburst, we had warned the APC against polarization within the Party's structure, hierarchy and ideology because the motley parties (ACN, ANPP, CPC, and the new PDP), which merged to form the mega ruling party had ceased to exist according to extant laws from the moment the ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS (APC), was registered as a political party in Nigeria on 6th February, 2013!

In over two years in office as ruling Party, the APC Government as presently constituted is still divided along those former party ideologies of "differing tribes and tongues", greed, avarice, power/position/money mongering, and therefore not as cohesive and united as should be, to the dismay of the Nigerian masses who believe so much in the personality and pedigree of President Buhari to deliver sure dividends of democracy to Nigerians and also destroy the economic bondage created by the ubiquitous PDP past consecutive administrations!

There is no doubt that the President later discovered after the elections that majority of the motley crowd who came on board were mere opportunists who could not be trusted with his strong anti-corruption crusade ideology and had, as a detribalized Nigerian, to surround himself with the few (tribes and tongues), who could be averagely trusted to deliver the mandate of APC's manifesto!
CAN WE THEN SAFELY CONCLUDE THAT THESE CHOSEN ONES HAVE NOW CONSTITUTED THEMSELVES INTO THE ALLEGED IRREPRESIBLE CABAL?


IF THE PRESIDENT DID NOT HAVE HEALTH CHALLENGES WOULD ANY CABAL HIJACK HIS GOVERNMENT?
A sudden twist took over the political clime as soon as President Buhari went on medical vacations on two occasions; first, from 19th January to 10th March, 2017, and second, from 7th May, to 19th August, 2017; which aroused further speculations that the alleged IRREPRESSIBLE CABAL, deliberately hampered the operations of the Acting President 'Yemi Osinbajo, in view of negative social media comments and hate speculations concerning the survival and successful return of elected number one citizen!

Although the provisions of Section 145 of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Constitution, 1999, are very unambiguous as expressly stated that the acting President would exercise full presidential powers while in office of the substantive holder, some "FAITHFUL LOYALISTS" OR THE ALLEGED IRREPRESSIBLE CABAL, made frantic efforts to fly the 2017 APPROVED BUDGET TO LONDON FOR BUHARI'S PRESIDENTIAL ASSENT, while recuperating on medical vacation without success!


THERE ARE INSINUATIONS THAT AN APC CABAL EXISTED WITHIN THE PRESDENT’S CABINET!
Junior Minister of Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, was refused access to meet with the President Buhari to discuss urgent matters of massive fraud in the Oil and Gas Industry through NNPC, the major foreign exchange earner agency, which he alleged to have been subtly manipulated by its Group Managing Director to sabotage the Nigerian economy through the illicit award of several contracts worth about $25 billion US dollars or N 9trillion naira to an unregistered foreign company! Kachikwu officially committed his allegations into a letter dated 30th August, 2017, was consequent upon his inability to meet with his principal, PMB, who doubles as Minister of Petroleum Resources; but the letter was leaked to the social, print and electronic media a few days into the month of October, 2017!
If all the allegations contained in the minister’s letter were factual, then, NNPC's national acronym as the FOUR TOWERS OF CORRUPTION has played out once again, in spite of the "watchful eyes" of Mr. President over this critical and strategic money-spinning institution!
Previously, in March 2013, the then Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, the chief custodian of the Federation Account raised an alarm in the form of a SECRET LETTER, which eventually leaked to the PRESS, in respect of a missing or unremitted tranche of $ 48.9 billion, which the Jonathan PDP Administration admitted was $20 billion US dollars, by the NNPC!
It is unfortunate that the whistle blower in the person of Sanusi Lamido Sanisi, now the Emir of Kano, lost his job because ex-President Ebele Jonathan, who sat over the PDP corrupt administration relieved him of his position and a “kangaroo” forensic auditing foreign firm that was contracted by government to investigate the allegations might probably submit its findings/report to the incumbent president when it is eventually done!


DETAILS OF ALLEGATIONS BY JUNIOR MINISTER OF PETROLEUM AGAINST GMD NNPC, MAIKANTI BARU!
Has history repeated itself in this present administration because the junior Minister of Petroleum Resources, who could not see President Buhari in person has also blown the whistle through a leaked letter containing very serious allegations as follows:
Allegations of corruption, disobedience, insubordination, humiliation, disrespect to the Board of NNPC, which is chaired by Dr. Ibe Kachikwu in his capacity as Minister of State for Petroleum;
spread of fear factor among staff of the national oil firm, nepotism, violation of due process in the award of crude oil contracts, some over $ 25 billion US dollars, which were never reviewed or discussed with him or the Board of NNPC!

Though, GMD Baru was yet to respond to the very weighty allegations, both men met with President Muhammadu Buhari, at the State House, Abuja, on Friday, 6th, October, 2017, to elucidate more on the matter. But in another twist, a spokesperson of the opposition PDP alleged that the controversial $25 billion fraud money was to fund PMB' S Presidential ambition for 2019! However the Presidential Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, has denied the allegation and also explained that PMB has not indicated his intention to contest the 2019 Presidential Elections yet!


PENDING ALLEGATIONS OF CORRUPTION AGAINST SGF AND DIRECTOR OF NATIONAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY!
The investigative panel reports on the suspended Secretary to the Government (SGF), and the Director of NIA, Mr. Ayo Oke, in respect of corruption allegations have been submitted to the President for necessary action, about three weeks ago. Nigerians and the Diaspora are waiting eagerly for his decision on the findings which were collated by His Excellency the Vice President, Professor 'Yemi Osinbajo and his panel of investigators!


WILL PMB LOSE THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION WHEN HE NOW HAS DIVINE SUPPORT THROUGH A REFORMED AND REVIVED JUDICIARY?

I do not agree with your attempt at generalising corruption in the judiciary.

You do realise that Ayo Salami is not the one to sit on cases.

There are active judges in trial courts who are still very incorruptible and upright.

In fact, the non-controversial judges are the ones I will rate higher than Ayo Salami whom one could allege has sympathy for the APC by virtue of his antecedents. The real judges with integrity stay away from the spotlight.

Though Justice Salami will not sit over the cases, His appointment to head the commitee that will monitor this special courts will surely hasten the process of justice, which is exactly what we need to step up the fight against corruption in Nigeria, no more endless adjournments, etc. also concerning his integrity, were elections not rigged in this country by the PDP led governments? if one judge stoodout and nullified this rigged elections, does that mean that he is biased? i surely dont think so Cacawa2. THE NIGERIAN JUDICIARY IS ON THE FIERY LANE TO PURGE CORRUPTION NOW!

Coming THIRD after the Executive and the Legislature, in the hierarchy of the Federal Government Administration, the Nigerian Judiciary - regarded as the last hope of the common man - has eventually cut a niche for itself by willingly supporting President Buhari's unrelenting crusade against corruption!
Now it is no longer a "ONE MAN’S SHOW" according to the unrepentant treasury looters, but the determined efforts of TWO top righteous men of government against the Legislature, which is the undisputable CITADEL of corruption!
With a new order recently announced by the 17th Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Nkanu Onnoghen, corrupt Nigerian politicians can neither run nor hide any longer from the long arms of the law as corruption cases will now be accorded the special attention that they deserved through SPECIAL COURTS for speedy and efficient adjudication of justice!

In all these 57 years of Nigeria's Independence - especially in the 16 years of the failed PDP consecutive administrations which produced super treasury looters, indicted politicians usually prolonged their trials through constitutional provisions of Section 36, sub-section 5, of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, which states that a suspect or accused person charged with a criminal offence is presumed to be innocent until proven guilty by a court of competent jurisdiction!
Every anti-corruption crusader is not hood-winked by that provision which encouraged massive corruption as perpetrated by military and civilian opportunists in government with reckless abandon!
And are we surprised that Legislators of the 8th National Assembly's (NASS), JOINT CONSTITUTIONAL AMMENDMENT COMMITTEE failed to amend the quoted Section 36 sub-section 5, to read as follows: "EVERY PERSON WHO IS CHARGED WITH A CRIMINAL OFFENCE SHALL BE PRESUMED GUILTY UNTIL HE IS PROVEN INNOCENT"?
We are not, because, majority of them who are neck-deep in criminal cases bothering on corruption, stealing/embezzlement of public funds, and various degrees of financial crimes, would no longer be qualified to hold on to their present political appointments nor elective positions, should that section be amended!

Statistics have revealed that a sizable number of the 109 360 legislators, especially in the SENATE, are facing corruption charges at the courts and their smart lawyers, who usually cashed in on this bogus constitutional provision to request for several adjournments and prolong legal processes against these politicians or their civil servant accomplices while the judicial administration continued to suffer decay, degradation and corruption!
BUT WITH THE NEW REFORM, UNSCRUPULOUS LEGAL PRACTITIONERS, at the level of Senior Advocates of Nigeria, would face censorship before the Legal Practioners Privileges Committee (LPPC), while the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee (LPDC), would handle the cases of other legal practitioners!

Justice delayed is tantamount to justice denied and those who suffer the ripple effects of treasury looting are the same poor masses who roam the labour market without hope of gainful employment, have no roof over their heads, no medical attention in case of any infection and whose wives die in the process of childbirth, whose children are without education but roam the streets for alms?

In 2012 and now 2017, in spite of timely warnings by Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET), of floodings expected across Nigeria's 36 States, ECOLOGICAL FUNDS were mismanaged by State Governors - none of whom died in the floods and are presently NESTING in the "hallowed chambers", of NASS, while thousands of the electorate whose votes placed them in those exalted positions, have been swallowed up into the liquid GRAVES of destructive floods!

Before the investiture of the incumbent Chief Justice on 7th March, 2017, the Nigerian Judicial Council (NJC), in spite of its strategic position as the overall supervisory body in charge of promotions, discipline and general welfare of the BENCH, was enmeshed in several controversies bothering on prejudice, maladministration and CORRUPTION, however the story has now changed!

While serving as Justice of the Supreme Court, Walter Onnoghen made history on April 11, 2014, when he, alongside some of his colleagues, gave a favourable verdict which upturned an age-long IGBO ANCESTRAL CULTURE which forbade women from having equal INHERITANCE access to their parents properties as their male counterparts! TWO IGBO WOMEN who petitioned the APEX COURT now have equal access and by extension, all Igbo women to such right! The same Onnoghen upheld the death sentence of one celebrated "Reverend King", (real name Chukwuemeka Ezeugo), who was accused of murdering a member of his church in 2006, and he, in a minority judgement but without quorum, annulled the late Umaru Yar 'Adua's presidential election of 2008 and requested for a fresh one following retired General Buhari's argument that the election was rigged! Therefore, there could not have been a better independence anniversary gift to the good and patriotic citizens of Nigeria than these Special Courts officially provided by Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen, a forthright, diligent competent and distinguished jurist, who would not close his judicious eyes to the plight of the downtrodden Nigerians who were consistently milked dry by the unscrupulous, pretentious and greedy politicians, especially by the LEGISLATORS, who claimed to represent their interests and constituencies!

Prior to this timely move by the Reformist Chief Justice, there had been concerted efforts and clamour by patriotic, decent, upright, and righteous Nigerians, including, very sincere pressure groups, Civil Society and Non-Governmental Organisations who strongly believed that the well-calculated and well- intentioned strategies by the Buhari's Administration to destroy the endemic institutional corruption of several years could actually succeed if special tribunals or courts were assigned to handle corruption cases!
To God be the glory that this patriotic demands have finally gotten a judicial nod by the Chief Justice, who has ordered that henceforth, such cases would be handled by officially designated courts across the federation and it is worthy of note that most States have already complied with the order!

THE NEW ORDER IN RESPECT OF SPECIAL COURTS!
During a special court session of the Supreme Court held to mark the opening of the 2017/2018 legal year, on Monday, 25th September, 2017, Justice Onnoghen who directed all Heads of Courts in the country to compile and forward to the National Judicial Council (NJC), comprehensive lists of all crime cases being handled by their various courts, also noted that "inexplicable and seemingly intractable delays, and disruption of due process", had been the bane of CRIMINAL JUSTICE ADMINISTRATION in Nigeria.
In addition, he said that the NJC at its next meeting, would constitute an Anti-Corruption Cases Trial Monitoring Committee that would continually monitor the progress of high-profile criminal cases adding that Judges must not lose sight of the Judiciary's fight against corruption which continued to place this noble institution in the "eye of the storm" and must not deter its resolve to ensure victory!

THE RETURN OF JUSTICE AYO SALAMI!
Also gratifying is the appointment of Justice Ayo Salami, another eminent, fearless, upright, diligent and equally righteous jurist whom ex-President Jonathan's Administration thought it could disgrace out of office for upholding TRUTH in the face of injustice and corruption in the JUDICIARY, as the Chairman of the Corruption and Financial Crime Cases Trial Monitoring Committee (COTRIMCO), by the Chief Justice.
Before these sweeping reforms, Nigeria's Judiciary was smeared with the negative image of endemic corruption among crooked judges whom Justice Salami, a retired President of the Court of Appeal fearlessly exposed, though he had to be forced out of the BENCH in April, 2014, before his tenure ended, for always voicing the truth!

As a guest speaker at a lecture in March, 2014, titled, “Nigeria at Centenary: A Nation In Bondage”, the retired President of the Court of Appeal said that the noble efforts of the incumbent Chief Justice of Nigeria, to sanitize and rid the judiciary of corrupt elements were being frustrated by “the crop of people calling the shots at the Nigerian Judicial Council [NJC],” adding that some dishonourable people, “not fit to be judges and senior lawyers, get into the system, make it to the highest level of the judicial career and subsequently frustrate the common man’s quest for justice and equity!”
He also claimed that it was an open truth that, both serving and retired judges act as the “arranges” or couriers, who reach out to “purchase justice on behalf of crooked litigants” and concluded that the problems with the Nigerian Judiciary might be compounded or unresolved for a long time because Nigerians naturally hate the truth and whoever dared voice the truth was marked for destruction!
We salute the courage of this fearless retired President of the Court of Appeal whose entire professional career at both the Bar and the Bench, remained untainted and impeccable like the likes of Justices Chukwudi Oputa, Bobakayode Eso, Ayo G.Irikefe, John Idowu Conrad Taylor, Ovie Whiskey, Chiefs ‘Tunji Braithwaite and Gani Fawehinmi etc; because what we have today are judges who have made Nigeria’s justice system by itself very criminal.

EFCC STING OPERATION OF 8TH - 9TH OCTOBER, 2016 AGAINST NIGERIAN JUDGES!
Justice Ayo Salami's allegations against the NJC were confirmed when the EFCC carried out a Sting Operation, described as unheard of and unprecedented against the Judges following a public outcry and he was eventually vindicated! The United Nations International Day for World Peace which was observed globally on Thursday 21st September, 2017, was marred by conflicting standpoints on war resolution strategies as opined by TWO outstanding world figures: DONALD TRUMP of America and MUHAMMADU BUHARI of Nigeria on the floor of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), which took place in New York between 12th-25th September, 2017!

President Donald Trump believes that the roadmap to universal peace was for the United States to "totally destroy North Korea and its rocket man leader if threatened", while President Muhammadu Buhari, proffered a "jaw-jaw" approach which would involve a UN Delegation comprising of all regional bodies to engage the defiant Far East country sandwiched between China and Russia, for a peaceful resolution to the World Disarmament Nuclear Programme!

President Buhari was no doubt the HERO OF AFRICA at the gathering because his forthright and endearing message of peace attracted all sane minds who queued after his thought-provoking submissions and concurred in like manner in their presentations, one after the other!
But in his usual obsessive patriotic zeal Donald Trump began his speech with the controversial "AMERICA FIRST" foreign policy which had placed him at daggers-drawn with the opposition Democrats because he decided to forget that America is a conglomeration of immigrants from almost all foreign countries of the universe!
He blamed all World leaders except himself for the seeming failure, in a concerted manner, to combat the global menace of insurgency, crimes, criminality and terrorism in the same manner at his debut attendance to the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO), new Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, on 25th May, 2017, where he accused other members for insufficient and inconsistent funding of the international body!

The PARIS CLIMATE CHANGE CONFERENCE in France had its share of condemnation of the world's number one President, who reneged on the earlier pledge by his predecessor, President Barak Obama, to contribute to a fund to be set aside for combating environmental pollution/degradation mostly in very poor nations of the world!
President Donald Trump should not be the controversial "politician" that he chose to be, considering his colossal image as the Commander- in- Chief of the "most powerful" immigrants nation in the world! He tweets daily unabatedly on diverse local and international issues, he jibes at anyone especially those DEMOCRATS who taunt him regularly because they hold the view that he is a political novice!

During the fierce presidential campaigns of 2016, his opponents traced his antecedent to some Pakistani immigrant family which settled in America in the 19th Century and even published a look-alike picture of a "7-year-old Pakistani Trump" on the internet!
With his latest outburst, Mr. Trump, now 71, has proved that he is truly a "dark horse", in American politics because, though in his speech, he traced the advent of the World Body at the end of the TWO UNFORTUNATE WORLD WARS, as the panacea for world peace, he still contradicted himself by bragging that his country world destroy another sovereign nation!
Since his assumption of office as the 145th President of the United States of America, the tough-talking septuagenarian, in his dual personality as a wealthy businessman and politician, has left no one in doubt that the United States would POLICE the world and "flog into submission" any defaulting nation and possibly colonize them since America cannot boast of any former colony anywhere in the world! But the worst part of Mr. Trump's headache has just begun!
IRAN has also defied US threat through the launch of a banned nuclear missile on Saturday 23rd, September, 2017, at an unknown and undetected location! How many countries would Mr. Trump destroy and still remain in relevant as a world power? Will China, Russia, France, Germany, Britain and others support such an unrealistic American dream? IT IS CRYSTAL CLEAR THAT THE UNITED STATES HAS ONLY ONE OPTION AND THAT IS, TO DIALOGUE WITH ALL DISSENTING VOICES IN ORDER TO FIND A COMMON GROUND FOR INTERNATIONAL PEACE!


PRESIDENT BUHARI'S VICTORIOUS SPEECH AT UNGA!

At the end of his outstanding speech at the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday, 19th September, 2017, President Buhari as the EIGHT Speaker, got a universal ovation from his fellow delegates and millions of viewers of UNGA'S New York proceedings across the globe for his outstanding submission that dialogue, instead of war should be the best option/approach to an everlasting peace in order to avoid a holocaust in the event of a nuclear war being threatened by both America and North Korea and reminded both nations of the grave consequences of nuclear warfare just like the universal disasters caused by the Atomic Bombs released by America on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, towards the close of World War II!

Having established Nigeria's role in ensuring peace in the ECOWAS nations of the Gambia and Cote D'Ivoire, President Buhari requested , "The UN to continue to take primary leadership position in the maintenance of international peace and security by providing adequate funding and other enablers to regional initiatives and peace-keeping operations authorized by the Security Council;" and also canvassed for, " strong UN co-operation with regional organisations such as the African Union, in conflict prevention and management"

He also said that all necessary pressure and diplomatic efforts must be brought to bear on North Korea to accept peaceful resolution of the crisis in order to avoid the catastrophic, devastating and environmental degradation that could be the fall-out of nuclear confrontations between it and the US and proposed a strong UN delegation to be led by the Security Council and all regional members to urgently engage the North Korean leader, in order to nip an impending international disaster in the bud! In addition, President Buhari made the following submissions all bordering on world peace: "New conflicts should not make us lose focus on ongoing unresolved old conflicts.
For example, several UN Security Council Resolutions from 1967 on the Middle East crisis remain unimplemented. Meanwhile, the suffering of the Palestinian people and the blockade of Gaza continue including the suffering population of Yemen and Myanmar"

The President did not lose sight of his primary assignment to purge Nigeria of the evil stigma of institutional corruption which he strongly believed could be promoted through assets recovery, accountability and international community cooperation and the provision of critical assistance and material support, including the nation's effort in curbing the growing transnational crimes such as forced labour, modern day slavery, human trafficking and cybercrime!
The Champion of the Nigerian TALAKAWAS did not also forget about the widening inequalities within societies and the gap between the rich and the poor nations which were the underlining root causes of competition for resources, frustration and anger leading to spiralling instability!


IS IT TRUE THAT THE PERENIAL UNIVERSAL EARTHQUAKES, TREMORS, HURRICANES, STORMS, FLOODINGS, have been traced to constant testing of nuclear arsenals by North Korea and by extension, Iran?

NIGERIA'S CONTENTIOUS LAND USE ACT (1978) MUST BE MASSES - ORIENTED TO FAVOUR AGRICULTURAL REVOLUTION!

The Federal Government's drive to ensure food security in Nigeria is yielding positive and accelerated results through the strategic financial policy of the Central Bank's Anchors Borrowers Programme (ABP), which has offered greater financial incentive to farmers for all-year-round agricultural farm projects!
As at the last quarter of the year 2016, Nigeria expended a whooping N1.0 trillion in foreign exchange on importation of food items including rice and wheat which fuelled domestic inflation, depleted foreign reserves, displaced local production and created massive unemployment, but the story has now changed according to CBN Governor who noted that import dependency especially on commodities of comparative advantage was neither acceptable nor sustainable.

Presently, RICE has been excluded from forex eligibility list, and replaced with the establishment of the ABP Initiative with huge investments in 40 integrated rice mills but not without challenges, of which the "NON-UTILILIZATION OF AVAILABLE CULTIVABLE LANDS", is the most prevalent! However, millions of Nigerian farmers are currently enrolled in ABP.
It is no longer news that the Military Government of Nigeria in a very suspicious 1978 Palace "coup de tat," grabbed all lands in the country through a very controversial Land Use Decree which suppressed any traditional claims by other citizens but gave the soldiers and subsequent governments absolute authority as the new LANDLORDS!
That controversial land policy - which is now almost 40 years in existence - has now become an albatross to the green revolutionary agrarian drive of diversification from the crude oil mono product foreign exchange earner, to the better option of massive agricultural produce that would ensure food security and influx of the hard currencies through regular exportation and an increase in the Small and Medium Scale Industries participation.
Is it not a disservice to the evolving economy that interested entrepreneurs are now being hampered by the stringent, arduous and very costly processes of acquiring lands in their own country because those who should amend the necessary offending clauses which are detrimental to the Change Agenda mantra, are the very interested parties who are feeding fat through the unfavourable and masses unfriendly policy?

Chapter 202 of the Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 1990, the Land Use Act is stipulated as: "An Act to vest al. land compromised in the territory of each State (except land vested in the Federal Government or its agencies), solely in the Governor of the State, who would hold such Land in trust for the people and would henceforth be responsible for allocation of land in all urban areas to individuals resident in the State and to organisations for residential, agriculture, commercial and other purposes while similar powers will with respect to non-urban areas are conferred on Local Governments (27th March, 1978), Commencement".
It on record that this obnoxious decree was promulgated during the tenure of General Olusegun Obasanjo, who was Military Head of State between1976-1979, before he handed over to the democratic government of Alhaji Shehu Shagari, but was it a patriotic policy intended to ease the housing challenges of the Nigerian masses or a further opportunity to boost the ELITES EGO through acquisition of landed properties above their legitimate portions!
NO! We do not believe so for the following logical and credible reasons:
(1) General Obasanjo retired from the Nigeria Army in 1979 and wasted no time to acquire by proxy, massive land areas for pastoral farming, in Otta Ogun State, from the indigenous owners who knew nothing about Land Use Decree, 1978 - the brain-child of the retired General.
(2) With his highly exalted position, he was issued the Certificate of Occupancy, rolled earth-moving equipments into the grabbed land to possess it by force with the succinct support of armed military personnel who flooded the area in a show of power which was stiffly resisted by the RIGHTFUL OWNERS!
(3) After a prolonged "battle", which stalled every move by his agents to cultivate the land, the retired General had to pay some monetary compensation (fall below the worth of the property), which was reluctantly collected following intense arbitration by the Royal King, traditional chiefs and elders of the Otta town.
(4) We do not totally condemn the Land Use Act because there are a lot of advantages to be enjoyed by the masses if it is transparently and faithfully executed. For instance, any Nigerian citizen can possess landed property anywhere in the country and dwell in safety as if he/she were an indigene thereby promoting unity in diversity!

In view of the flaws noticed in the controversial Land Use Decree, late President Umaru Yar 'Adua and ex- President Ebele Jonathan, tinkered with the idea of removing the Act from the Constitution and operating it as an independent Act of Parliament for regular amendments from time to time without success, but it is very certain that the time is now ripe for the APC ruling government to re- visit the CONTROVERSY once and for all, for the benefit of all Nigerians -especially FARMERS whom the Anchors Borrowers Programme, is set to support with huge finances.

The stringent processes of Land acquisition must be relaxed; land fees for both commercial and residential purposes must be considerably reduced for the working class and LAND should be considered as a fundamental right for all bona fide citizens while the National Housing Scheme for low income workers which is in deficit of about 170 million units recorded since 2013, should be resuscitated without further delay to alleviate the sufferings of the people in that area of the very basic necessity of SHELTER and eliminate the humongous institutional corruption that have infested the sector for decades! The Military claimed their unilateral action was prompted by patriotic ZEAL, to protect the land from land grabbers/speculators but have, ( inadvertently ?), escalated conflicts to murderous dimensions since the promulgation of that unpopular/masses unfriendly decree!
Presently, land disputes have degenerated into frightening human fatalities of national dimensions unlike in the past when communities mostly settled such challenges through mutual dialogue and agreements in village and town hall meetings.

BEFORE THE LAND USE DECREE OF 29th March, 1978 - People, families and communities possessed the LAND through the traditional ownership of ancestral inheritance and had freedom to sell to both public and private enterprises at will in areas of historical domicility.
THE CASE IS DIFFERENT NOW - No individual can claim rightful ownership of any land anywhere in Nigeria without govt authorization. A prospector now has to purchase any portion of land from government whom the decree describes as the LANDLORD collect a receipt, survey the land, before collecting the legal document describe as the Certificate of Occupancy (C of O)!

The Land Use Act as it is now described has its root firmly entrenched in the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 Constitution - A LEGAL STATUS THAT HAS METAMORPHOSED INTO AND ALBATROSS, because it has become strenuous to AMEND ( because of vested interest of both govt and "INDEGENOUS OWNERS",AND EXCEPT IT IS EXPUNGED TO STAND ALONE LIKE OTHER ACTS OF PARLIAMENT FOR REGULAR AMENDMENTS, THE ACT (as presently crafted), WOULD CONTINUE TO CREATE A CLOG IN THE WHEEL OF THE AGRICULTURAL REVOLUTION OF THE APC GOVT.!

WE RECOMMEND AN EXECUTIVE BILL BE FOWARDED TO PARLIAMENT AS THE LAND USE ACT NOW POSES OBSTACLES TO BOTH REAL ESTATE INDUSTRY AND DIVERSIFICATION TO AGRICULTURE!

SECURITY OF PROPERTY RIGHTS: Legal /registered and proper land documentations like Certificate of Occupancy (C of O), must be issued and obtained to qualify the land as good collateral document to secure loans from any private or financial institution. CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY GOES FOR AS MUCH AS N500.000, IN SOME STATES OF NIGERIA AND IT MUST CARRY THE BONA FIDE SIGNATURE OF GOVERNORS OR LOCAL GOVT CHAIRMEN OF RESPECTIVE RURAL AREAS - WHICH CUMBERSOME PROCESSES GENERATE HIGH-LEVEL CORRUPTION AMONG GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL AT ALL LEVELS!
LAND IS AN IMMOVABLE PROPERTY WHICH APPRECIATES MORE WHEN CONVERTED TO REAL ESTATE, INDUSTRIAL OR AGRICULTURAL PURPOSES. INDEGENOUS LAND TRUSTEES AND GOVERNMENT MUST HAVE A MIDDLE GROUND!

NNAMDI KANU IS DISILLUSIONED AND HAS GONE OVERBOARD, HE NEEDS OUR PRAYERS!

In spite of the precarious legal tussle ahead of him and the stringent conditions attached to his bail bond which would soon elapse, Nnamdi Kanu, who is on trial for conspiracy, treasonable felony, publication of defamatory matter and importation of goods contrary to the Customs and Excise Management Act, has brazenly dared the security operatives to re-arrest him by deliberately flouting all of his bail conditions through provocative and seditious utterances against the Nigerian people and government!

The self-proclaimed "leader" of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, before 14th October, 2015, when he was arrested in Lagos, Nigeria, by State Security Service (SSS), Operatives, was a broadcaster of the anti-Nigeria pirate radio station christened, "Radio Biafra" and operated within the precincts of the London Metropolis, where he enjoyed dual citizenship status of British-Nigerian nationality. In count three of the sustained charges, the Federal Government alleged that Kanu had in a broadcast, he made in London on 28th April, 2015, through Radio Biafra, disparaged President Muhammadu Buhari whom he referred to as a Paedophile, a terrorist, an idiot and an embodiment of evil! Kanu's obsessive ideology was to gain political relevance and attract global recognition through agitation for the resurrection of the defunct State of Biafra which resulted in a civil war between,1967and 1970, destroyed over TWO MILLION innocent lives - which included women, children and properties/critical infrastructures running into billions of naira! For him to embark on a fresh insurrection against his fatherland, it is very certain that Kanu has no qualms for the sanctity of human lives, in spite of the fact that history is replete with the painful truth of the 30-month-old civil war!

When Nnamdi Kanu realised that all of his campaign of calumny, yielded no positive results and did not attract serious attention and publicity in London, he deliberately travelled to Nigeria to seek relevance and publicity. In tandem with his hidden agenda, he was glad to be arrested and became an instant celebrity, detained and arraigned in court before his release under very stringent bail conditions on 28th April, 2017, which, in the event of contravention, would attract immediate cancellation and re-arrest! Shortly before he was released from prison custody, Kanu announced that he had opted for the Jewish religion of JUDAISM which allows for children to disobey the Biblical Fifth Commandment and as soon as he was released, it was an abusive, uncouth unruly and recalcitrant young man who walked out of Kuje Prisons!

About that same period, it was widely reported that the Igbo race had "traced" their ancestral lineage to the nation of Israel - a claim which Jewish historians, anthropologists, scientists etc, have debunked as mere imagination, wishful-thinking and fantasies that have no correlation in Jewish history! Does the doctrine of Judaism include treasonable felony?

Kanu has deliberately contravened all of his bail conditions in order to provoke the Federal government to re-arrest him with an intention of starting an uproar, public confusion and violent protests among the uneducated and misguided Igbo Youths, whose life he has surreptitiously planned should be wasted over a senseless cause just as the late retired Col. Odumegwu Ojukwu of the Nigerian Army did through declaration of a failed Biafra State, some fifty years ago! Having sent over one million of Igbo able-bodied men - mostly youths to early graves, Ojukwu abandoned the sinking ship of rebellion, absconded to a foreign land where he sought for asylum, dwelt for several years, was later granted amnesty by the Federal Government to fulfil the end of war declaration of, "NO VICTOR, NO VANQUISHED, returned to Nigeria as a "HERO", restored to his Nigerian Army rank of Colonel with all full benefits and collected all salaries, emoluments and full gratuity and pensions from 1966 to his demise on 26th November 2011!

What sensible reasons can Nnamdi Kanu adduce as his intention for agitating that Nigeria should be dissected for his Biafra ideology other than an historical fallacy that a "Biafran Empire had existed before the advent of the British Colonial masters", who according to him had no right to annex the empire to Nigeria in 1914!
Is he aware that he has no “locus standi” to force his unpatriotic and very selfish ideology under the guise of fundamental rights of freedom of expression and association on other Nigerians who also have equal rights under the Nigerian Constitution?
Is Kanu’s "Biafra Security Services" (BSS), a constitutionally registered and legal outfit? How does he intend to fan the embers of insurrection against the rest of the good people of Nigeria through false indoctrination and expect to get away with such terrorist act?
THE BIBLICAL FIFTH COMMANDMENT, should be very instructive to Nnamdi Kanu: " Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother which is the first commandment with promise. That it may be well with thee and thou mayest live long on the earth." (Exodus.20:12; Ephesians.6:1-3; compare, Matthew.15: 3-9) and PROPHET MOSES said: Honour thy father and thy mother; and Whoso curseth father or mother, let him thy the death! (Mark.7:10).

Though most Igbo elders, including the Five South East Governors, (except Kanu's father, His Highness Eze Israel Kanu, including all members of his family), have spoken out in total condemnation of the unprovoked and misguided agitation by Kanu, how come he still speaks without honour to 170 million Nigerians, beginning with the HOARY HEAD, President Buhari, whom, he had abused at random, the Yorubas whom he called FOOLS, among several verbal vituperations of an uncouth mind and a froward heart?

In one of his several interviews with a foreign press, Kanu said that he was not fairly treated during his detention, " because in Nigeria, ( which he described as ZOO), people behave like animals; they are not disciplined enough; they are not mentally developed enough to run a transparent civil society."
Nnamdi Kanu also alleged on Sunday 3rd September, 2017, that, " a Muhammadu Buhari look alike, a Sudanese man named Jubril who had gone through an extensive plastic surgery, is currently parading himself as the President and that IPOB members should burn Nigeria to the ground if he (Kanu), is re-arrested by the Nigerian Government."

He said he had ordered for arms from the United States of America for self defence and protection of his group from any external aggression!
Kanu who is to appear in an Abuja court on 17th October, 2017, to resume his trial has also boasted that he would invade the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), with TWO MILLION IPOB members whom he has "commanded" to burn down Nigeria to the ground because they are under his oath!

ODUMEGWU OJUKWU AND THE DEAD BIAFRA SHOULD REST IN PEACE!
It was not a coincidence that Nnamdi Kanu was born in September 1967, few months into the Biafra Civil War which broke out through a declaration of secession of Eastern Nigeria, by late Nigerian Army Colonel Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu who, following the defeat of his army, late 1969, abandoned his officers and men to surrender to the Federal Troops while he fled to Cote d' Voire (former Ivory Coast), where he sought asylum and left his kith and kin to lick their wounds!

But before he died, Emeka Ojukwu regretted ever leading the war of secession against his country and counselled against a second attempt at any Biafran secession by any section of the Igbo community!
Though, Kanu was a mere three-year-old toddler when the war which spared him and his family ended in January 1970, definitely his adolescent impression was so poisoned by peer groups to have left him so devastated to the point where he had to disagree with Ojukwu who cautioned against any second secession attempt by Nigerian Igbos!

"For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man some would even dare to die. But commendeth His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us." (Romans.5:7-8; compare verses 9-11).

Kanu once declared in one of his numerous press interviews that only death would stop him from agitating for another "State of Biafra"!
IF NNAMDI KANU IS ON A SUICIDAL MISSION, MUST HE BRAINWASH INNOCENT IGBO TRADERS AND THE ENTIRE BUSINESS IGBO COMMUNITIES ACROSS THE NIGERIA TO DIE WITH HIM? OVER TWO MILLION PEOPLE PERISHED DURING OJUKWU'S ATTEMPT,THERE MUST NOT BE A REPEAT PERFORMANCE!

JAMB'S UTME 120 CUT-OFF MARK SMACKS OF BOKO HARAM'S ILLITERACY IDEALOGY!

One of the major demands by the Boko Haram Islamic Fundamentalists/Terrorists at the initial stage of their insurgency in Nigeria, was a total clampdown on the teaching of Western Education subjects in educational institutions to the entire population of the Northern States because of the "negative influences" they impacted on the religious traditions and cultures of the indigenous people!

But in spite of their brazen falsehood, concerted efforts by some concerned citizens (who were neither deceived nor blindfolded by the deceit), gave impetus to most parents, including those whose children/wards were restricted to the Internally Displaced People's (IDP's), camps who constructed make-shift classrooms and engaged teachers who taught Western education to their children, both at primary and secondary school levels! While the war lasted, destruction of lives and properties, kidnappings and killing of Boys Secondary School Children, the abduction of about 276 Chibok Secondary School Girls on April 14, 2014; took frightening dimension and causality figures rose to over 1million - of both military and civilians most especially with the hit-and-run tactics of suicide bombings!


The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), the Agency responsible for the conduct of examinations for entry into all Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education since its inception on 13th February, 1978, had religiously stuck to providing qualitative education through adherence to competiveness amongst all students irrespective of their geographic antecedent and had kept the compulsory CUT OFF MARKS between 180 - 200 out of 400, in all examinations; until some "Northern educators identified some educationally disadvantaged states" and requested that score marks be reduced to between 80 to 100, depending on classification!
Unfortunately now, we have a BLANKET COVER that will destroy COMPETIVENESS that should enhance Human Capital For National Development!

Over 1.6 million candidates annually applied for degree courses; while National Diploma records more than 17.000 and with the new policy in place, Polytechnics and Colleges candidates needed only 100 marks for admission while other institutions of higher learning should score 110, which is an average of 25% - although individual institutions could raise the BAR as they wished!
Should Nigeria's educational system be handled with such impropriety by those who should know better?


EDUCATED POLICY SOMERSAULT!

Did the policy architects forget that lowering of the figures would create false sense of SECURITY for lazy candidates, since 100 out of 400 marks is just a "piece of cake"? Was it an irony of fate that when the Ministry decided to lower educational standards, one 19-year-old Southern candidate scored 337 while another from Adamawa scored 308 - out of 400, in the just concluded 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)!

What informed the sudden change in official policy in the Change Administration which has identified that poverty and illiteracy were the twin evil disadvantages responsible for Boko Haram terrorism and also the prevalent ALMAJIRI SCORGE of about 20million children of school age who are still roaming the streets, nooks and crannies of the vast nation of Nigeria - the figures are highest in KANO and KADUNA presently!


Who advised the new Minister of Education to decree a new and strange policy of 120 cut off mark across board in a 21st Century world which boasts of high grade advanced technology where students acquire first degree at 12 and P hd. at 18?
Was the Presidency privy to this new position which is being resisted by all right-thinking educationists and patriotic Nigerians at large?
Would the lowering of the cut-off mark from 180 to an absurd and very ridiculous figure of 100 - 120 provide the necessary impetus for the reasoning faculty and intellectual capacity required for the rigours of assimilation, studies, lectures and researches throughout the academic sessions when such students would sit in the same classrooms with their peers who scored over 300 cut off marks?

What we have witnessed in recent months were discordant tunes and cacophony of voices which have become very prevalent among Nigeria's education policy makers!
Across the board rooms of the Federal Ministry of Education and one of its Agencies, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), contradictions in respect of this very serious national issue of tertiary education have been the order of the day!


In June 2016, the Federal Minister of Education, Alhaji Adamu Adamu, who oversights JAMB, directed that Post Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME), conducted by tertiary institutions should be scrapped possibly for the following public complaints:

(1) Exorbitant fee charges,
(2) Unprofessional and defective invigilation,
(3) Manipulation of results,
(4) Bribing of officials to get admissions, and
(5) There was no basis for such DUPLICATION in the first instance since candidates qualified to write the UTME, and Five WAEC O Level Credits, inclusive of Mathematics and English!

But before the regimental fiat which had neither legal nor documentary backing/evidence, could take effect, Alhaji Adamu turned around to rescind his earlier order BUT this time, with humility and apology, that the cancellation was a mistake. In August 2017, at the Combined Policy Meetings on Admissions into Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria, he said, “the ban imposed on the test caused irregularities by candidates and some institutions." He however warned that the fee for the post-UTME examination should not exceed TWO THOUSAND NAIRA before releasing another bombshell of new cut off marks!
Before now, there was the furore over the alleged removal of Christian Religious Knowledge (CRK), from the Basic Education Curriculum and had become a theme in the Civic Education, while Islamic Arabic Studies/French had been introduced in the new curriculum. It was also alleged that pupils/students would be mandated to compulsorily study either Islamic Arabic Studies or French and that Christian students would have no option than the Islamic Arabic Studies, BUT the Minister denied all allegations! He said that the National Council on Education had accepted his proposal that CRK should be made compulsory for teaching and learning by Christian students while Islamic Arabic Studies should also be made compulsory for Muslim students.

According to the Minister, the Federal Executive Council (FEC), has called for A MINISTERIAL RETREAT ON ROADMAP FOR EDUCATION in order to have a holistic view on the FALLING STANDARD OF EDUCATION AND THE SOLUTIONS TO RESTORE ITS LOST GLORY!
We quote the Minister: "Initially, we had prepared a blueprint but FEC felt the issues are beyond that because there are crises in all the areas of education, in out-of-school children, in technical education and training, in ICT, in all the areas you can think of.
Ministers are going to start talking (within the next two weeks), to themselves and come out with solutions." This statement was made on 22nd June, 2017!

Could the controversial and contradictory lowering of cut off marks to 120 be one of the outcome of the MINISTERS RETREAT or that this quarrelsome policy was SMUGGLED out of the Minister's BLUEPRINT?
WE VEHEMENTLY CONDEMN THE OBNOXIOUS JAMB UTME CUT OFF MARK OF 120 AND REQUEST FOR PRESIDENTIAL INTERVENTION FOR A REVERSAL TO STATUS QUO ANTE AND A DECLARATION OF EMERGENCY IN THE EDUCATION SECTOR IN ORDER TO REPLACE THE CURRENT ACADEMIC DECADENCE WITH DELIBERATE REVOLUTION FOR ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AND STARK ILLITERACY WITH AN EDUCATED GENERATION OF INGENIOUS YOUTHS, MODERN SCIENTISTS AND WIZKIDS!

Further lowering of educational standards by the Federal Ministry of Education is a dis-service to the masses - especially the YOUTHS - who are divinely designated to become future leaders; and in a concerted voice, We declare this obnoxious policy null and void and of no effect!

GRADUATE PRESIDENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PERSISTENT ASUU STRIKES!

There was a time in the history of the nation of Nigeria when the fame of two distinguished UNIVERSITY GRADUATES hit the headlines as they became instant celebrities because they won the presidential election. The team of the late Umaru Yar' Ardua (M Sc.), and Ebele Jonathan (P hd.), were the first set of Nigerian graduates to rule Nigeria since the departure of the Colonial masters in 1960.
The late Dr.Nnamdi Azikiwe, though a graduate scholar, singularly held a ceremonial presidential position in the First Parliamentary Democracy and that was why expectations were so high from among the population who hailed, trusted and believed that the new rulers would bring to the table new ideas that would proffer brilliant, solutions to the myriad of political, economic, and social challenges (especially, QUALITY EDUCATION), that had plagued the nation for so long, like no other!
The eight years before 2007, when the new democratic experiment was put in place, a former military Head of State in the person of Chief Aremu Obasanjo vetoed the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisation's (UNESCO), recommendation that 26.5% of annual national budgets of each country be appropriated to the Education Sector, by allotting a paltry 03%/06% instead!
Though not a university graduate, but enjoys the privilege of a honorary doctorate degree holder, he once confessed in one of his comedy, "NA DASH THEM DASH ME!"
Unfortunately, the celebrated DUO of Umaru/Jonathan failed to meet the yearnings of patriotic citizens who adduced so much confidence to them! They neither improved, by correcting the failures/anomalies of Obasanjo, nor introduced innovations into the Education Sector by conforming with UNESCO'S recommendation 26.5% appropriation!
Even when Jonathan became President following his demise on 5th May, 2010 and picked another graduate, Architect Nnamadi Sambo, they further pushed education into the remotest corner of the PDP Manifesto and promoted illiteracy at the tertiary level while the intelligentsia categorized Nigerian Universities as, "GLORIFIED SECONDARY SCHOOLS!"

If ex-President Jonathan, who obtained his PhD in Zoology could equivocally and publicly declare that, "STEALING IS NOT CORRUPTION", what better intellectual capacity should one expect from graduates from ILL-FUNDED AND ILL-EQUIPPED Nigerian tertiary institutions? By that deliberate negative attitude towards National Education, those leaders had inadvertently laid a BED OF THORNS AND THISTLES, which they have sadly discovered was most uncomfortable for successive governments to LIE OR SLEEP ON, in view of the violent attitudinal and unethical reactions of over 30% illiterate Nigerian Youths against government policies - whether popular or unpopular!

Persistent agitations by both universities lecturers and students for better learning, teaching/research environment and facilities, had been the order of the day even within the ranks of educators and the elites who believe that QUALITATIVE EDUCATION WOULD ALWAYS REMAIN THE BED-ROCK AND ASSET OF EVERY NATION'S HUMAN CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT!

ASUU'S STRIKES ARE LEGITIMATE!
ASUU's organized strikes which had negatively affected and disrupted academic curriculums in tertiary institutions since the year 2001 were prompted through protests against decadence, lack of basic infrastructures which were itemized as modern classrooms and libraries with internet facilities, hostel accommodations, hi-tech laboratories, inadequate remunerations and emoluments that have subsequently led to staff depletion, lower academic impartation/impactation and the SYSTEMIC DECAY of the educational system on the nation!

As a result most Nigerian graduates were rejected from the labour market because they were academically unsound and could not meet international standards!
The latest strike action draws its antecedence from the unfulfilled/unimplemented official promises of 2001, between ASUU, Federal and State Governments, in the following areas:
(1) FUNDING;
(2) UNIVERSITY AUTONOMY;
(3) ACADEMIC FREEDOM;
(4) EARNED ACADEMIC ALLOWANCES; AND,
(5) REGISTRATION OF UNIVERSITIES PENSION MANAGEMENT COMPANY;
until 14th August, 2006, ( five years after the initial negotiations), during which proposals for re-negotiation of the 2001 Agreements which was muted by the Federal Government produced a 51-page long new agreement, signed by both parties in October, 2009 - WHICH WAS ALSO NOT HONOURED!
However, in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed 24th January, 2012 with ASUU, the Federal Government (FG), agreed to INJECT, N1.3Trillion, into Federal Universities over a period of THREE YEARS as follows:
(a) N100 billion in 2012;
(b) N400 billion in 2013;
(c) N400 billion in 2014; and
(d) N400 in 2015.
As usual the FG reneged on the MoU but when ASUU, embarked on a nation-wide strike from February to June 2013, it now offered instead, N300 billion for Enhanced Academic Allowances and N200 billion, to BREACH, Noticeable Infrastructural Gap in Federal Universities!
Available information reveals that only N200 billion was released to the body in 2013, and since then there had been no further appropriation! ALL OF THE ABOVE DECEITS WHICH THEY SUPERVICED, PROVE THAT THOSE GRADUATES PRESIDENTS PLACED NO SERIOUS PREMIUM ON EDUCATION!

FEDERAL GOVERNMENT'S RESPONSE!
ASUU's nation-wide strike which began on 13th August, 2017, has birthed two weeks of pain, anguish, disgust, mistrust and faithlessness among the teeming Nigerian students and youths who are the VICTIMS of FG's absolute insincerity, gross violation and dereliction of Constitutional Provisions in respect of Education as stipulated in Chapter II, Section 18 (1) (2) and (3 a-d), of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of 1999.

The APC Change Mantra Government, which inherited all of the above unreliable and unrealistic agreements has offered to pay N23 billion (Academic Earned Allowance), and N1.5 billion monthly, to ASUU pending the outcome of the forensic audit being carried out by the Federal Ministry of Finance to ascertain the entire transactions since 2001. Government also agreed to other demands by ASUU Leadership team comprising the President, Professor 'Biodun Ogunyemi, and his Vice, Emmanuel Osodeke, including a former President, Dr. Dipo Fashina.
Professor Ogunyemi has said that the national struggle to revitalise the Nigerian university system was comprehensive and total and that the strike would be called off when FG fulfilled its side of the bargains between 2001-2012, adding that the outstanding deficit was about N825 billion!
In Ghana, government appropriates 30% of its annual Budget to Education at all levels and affluent Nigerians send their children and wards to Ghana to acquire pre-nursery to university education in a country where everything works!

HOW WOULD PEACE ENDURE IN A NATION DOMINATED BY JOBLESS/ HALF-BAKED YOUTHS WHO FORM THE LARGER POPULATION? BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS; AREWA CONSULTATIVE YOUTHS FORUM; O'ODUA PEOPLES CONGRESS (OPC), AND THE SOUTH-SOUTH PIPELINE VANDALS AND OTHER MILITANTS, ALL OF WHICH ARE YOUTH-BASED ARE VICIOUS AND CRIMINAL GROUPS WHO HAVE BEEN TROUBLING NIGERIA SINCE 1999!

APC Change Administration should not foot-drag on this very serious issue on which THE SOUL OF NIGERIA RESTS! All of ASUU's requests have legal foundations and backings and should be honoured without further delay! Nigerians are tired of CIRCUS CIRCLES! A nation without education will remain a JUNGLE SOCIETY! According to ASUU, appropriations of 6 &7% had been released in the last two years of the new administration.

BUHARI’S ANTAGONISTS HAVE FAILED AGAIN; HE’S ALIVE TO PURGE NIGERIA OF CORRUPTION!

After One Hundred and Four Days of spiritual battle in the Spirit World, the divinely-anointed President Muhammadu Buhari, victoriously triumphed over all Forces of Darkness and returned ALIVE to his beloved Country, Nigeria, at noon on Saturday, 19th August, 2017, to the tumultuous welcome of patriotic citizens but to the shame and bewilderment of his political arch-enemies and detractors!

Hate speech terrorist wished him dead, but the reverse was the case because the warfare in question was fought on Buhari's behalf by the LORD OF HOSTS who assigned him to be President over Nigeria! "The Earth is the LORD'S and the fullness thereof, the world and the people that dwell therein."(Psalm. 24:1).
No one contends with the Almighty GOD and lives to tell the story! It is a fact that Buhari's political enemies employed diabolical incantations, enchantments, sorceries divinations, curses, the moment he had the health challenge, but the effectual and fervent prayers of the ever patriotic downtrodden TALAKAWAS and several genuine Servants of God, prevailed over the evil plans of the ungodly politicians! . "And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire."(Luke 3:9)
He did not arrive at night in order to debunk further vicious speculations about the state of his health and even drove in a presidential motorcade through the streets of the Federal Capital City of Abuja and into the State House, Aso Rock Villa, at about 5.40 pm!

The successful treatment of President Buhari's health issues at a London Hospital during his medical vacation will remain a mystery to ordinary and simple minds. Though it was initially resisted by Principalities and Powers of this World/Spiritual Wickedness in High Places, who forcibly and viciously fought to posses his SOUL, they failed because the Angel Gabriel was divinely dispatched to rescue the LORD'S VESSEL who has been specially assigned to purge this nation of all forms of institutional corruption laced with brazen impunity; that would have completely destroyed Nigeria's economy!


MUHAMMADU BUHARI IS INDESTRUCTIBLE AND UNSTOPABLE!

Pre and post independent Nigerian politics and elections always took violent dimensions of "do-or-die" power struggles among the gladiators who trampled over the fundamental rights of unfortunate and innocent electorate to achieve their inordinate ambition at all cost! But Buhari's characteristics signify faithfulness, honesty, righteousness, fairness, equity, probity and justice, which virtues are so distasteful to MERCENERY politicians!

The elections that gave him victory in 2015, was not an exception because the incumbent Peoples Democratic Party consecutive administrations from 1999-2015, had no wish to accept defeat from the onset as all the power-mongers swore on their parents graves that the Change Agenda President, would never win the presidential election - because he failed in the last three previous attempts. They therefore employed unethical and unorthodox method of mudslinging, brickbats, character defamation/assassination, hate speeches detrimental publications on electronic/print media, social media platforms and the Internet, against him as the All Progressives Congress (APC), democratic candidate, without any form of check or restraint!

But who would have thought that in that election which gave him landslide victory over Ebele Jonathan, the failed Party which performed woefully in SIXTEEN YEARS of consecutive administration, would still refuse to sheath its vile sword - especially when the winner held his peace without pursuing legal actions against them!

No Nigerian can doubt the magnificent prowess, capacity, mental and physical strength of President Buhari - a retired General and Nigeria's former Military Head of State, who, in spite of the rigours of the 2014/2015 political campaigns, embarked on overseas diplomatic tours to all major economic and military blocs to gain massive support needed to crush the insurgency within his first year in office in spite of being a SEPTUGENARIAN!
He did not leave out Nigeria's neighbouring States of Chad, Niger, Benin, Cameroon etc, and formed the Multi National Joint Task Force (MNJTF), with them in order to facilitate a quick return to peaceful economic life in the West African sub- Region!

He succeeded to regain and re-capture all of the FOURTEEN CALIPHATES which Boko Haram terrorists carved out from some Local Government Areas of Bornu State and also to turn the economy around and block all official financial wastages through the option of the Treasury Single Account (TSA), system of financial accountability and probity. He did not waste time to introduce, one after the other; the welfarist programmes for the education sector, financial support to market women, upgrading of the Primary Health Care Centres, the controversial School Feeding Programme, the Graduate Empowerment Scheme, etc.
President Buhari travelled to London for the first medical check up, on 19th Jan 2017 - but convinced that he still needed more medical attention, he proceeded to take care of his health on 7th May, 2017, without breaking any extant law and without creating a gap in administration by handing over the reins of power to his Vice, Professor 'Yemi Osinbajo, (SAN)!


CONSPIRACY OF THE THREE MUSKETEERS AGAINST BUHARI!

While recuperating in London and meditating over how to faithfully accomplish his Party's manifesto on return to Nigeria, THREE former military generals and Heads of State, in the persons of Olusegun Obasanjo, Ibrahim Babangida and Abdusalam Abubakar, conspired to shop for a candidate who would replace President Buhari in 2019, because they believed that he would no longer have the capacity to run for a second term.
"Who is he that saith and it cometh to pass when the LORD commandeth it not?" (Lamentations.3:37-39)
During their tenures in government, the following cases bordering on institutional corruption and extra-judicial killings are still pending:
(1). Criminal destruction and extra-judicial killings of 19 innocent soldiers and several civilians at ODI TOWN - Balyesa State; (
2). House of Representatives probe on the looting of of $16 billion on Electricity generation;
(3). Controversial Oil Licence for one of the lucrative oil fields in Nigeria to a preferred firm in the South;
(4). Two of the musketeers are rated first and second of the TEN richest politicians in Nigeria, (2017), net worth, $ 5 billion and $ 1.6 billion US Dollars respectively; probably as salaries accrued from the Nigerian Army!
Between the THREE, and the late Sani Abacha it was power- sharing plus all the illegal pecks of office. It was widely publicised that former General Obasanjo, had only N20.000 naira in his bank account when he was released from Abacha's detention in 1998!

These Musketeers who are arrogating divine roles to themselves will soon have to appear before the Throne of Judgement; says the LORD." God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God." (Psa 62:11)

NIGERIA DOES NOT NEED THESE SET OF GREEDY AND POWER-INTOXICATED LEGISLATORS ANY MORE!

Constitutional amendment is not an innovation in Nigeria! The 1979 Military Republican Post Independence Constitution of the Murtala-Obasanjo Regime, was promulgated into a DECREE with effect from 1st October, 1979, following FINAL AMENDMENTS carried out by the Supreme Military Council and with the subsequent coups of 1983, (Buhari); and 1985, (Babangida); another Military Republican Constitution of 1989 was decreed into law by Armed Forces Ruling Council (AFRC), following some amendments!

The Abacha/Abdusalami Transitional Military Regimes (1993- 1999), subsequently produced the 1999 Post Independence Federal Republic of Nigeria Constitution now under the doctoring of the National Assembly (NASS), for SELFISH, AMBITIOUS AND VERY GREEDY REASONS!
Both Chambers on 26th and 27th July, 2017, respectively VOTED ON 33 MAJOR BILLS TO AMEND THE SAID CONSTITUTION; but we were surprised about the following mix bag of results from the two Chambers:
(1). The Legislators, voted against DEVOLUTION OF POWER from Federal to federating States
(2). Sought for IMMUNITY for legislative rascality’s through "spoken words" in the Chambers and Committees Sittings
(3). Requested that ex-Senate Presidents and ex-House of Representatives be absorbed as MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL OF STATE - in order to have EQUAL ranking with Presidents/Governors, (serving and retired), who form bulk of membership of the Council.
(4). Voted to override Presidential veto in Constitutional Alteration
(5). Removal of LAW-MAKING POWER from the EXECUTIVE ARM, (National Security Agencies Act; National Complaints Commission, Land Use Act and National Youth Service Corps
(6). Voted against the 35 per cent Affirmative Inclusion of Women as Ministers
(7). Approval for 35 years as minimum age for qualification as presidential candidates; and
(. Approval for INDEPENDENT candidacy at all ELECTIONS, during the lopsided exercise!

Public reactions across political, economic, religious, ethnic/tribal divide over the amendments have deepened the belief of the citizens that the legislators major incursion into Nigerian politics was purely for ILLICIT FINANCIAL GAINS and are therefore CLAMOURING that the 1999 Constitution be scrapped and a new Constituent Assembly commissioned to draft a brand new document that would cater for all fundamental needs of the masses.

THE 469 LEGISLATORS, MOST OF WHO SMUGGLED THEMSELVES INTO THE GREEN AND RED CHAMBERS OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY, WIELD SO MUCH POWER UNDER THEIR OWN VERSION OF THE 1999 CONSTITUTION OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA, that they do not only make/amend laws, carry out OVERSIGHT functions on all the Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), that are under the supervision of the EXECUTIVE, they also claim to have the authority to CREATE THE LEGISLATIVE VERSION OF ANY BUDGET THROUGH FRESH INSERTIONS FOR THEIR OWN SPECIAL NEEDS!
For instance, the 2017 Budget which was reluctantly signed into law by the Acting President, Professor 'Yemi Osinbajo, on 12th June 2017, was fraught with controversies in respect of all manners of FRESH INSERTIONS that did not emanate from the EXECUTIVE who is constitutionally empowered to prepare ANNUAL BUDGETS for smooth execution of all imperative projects - Capital/Concurrent - for the welfare of the citizens!

DIVIDENDS FROM MILITARY REGIMES.
Although military administrations which were autocratic, considered aberration to democracy and could not be exonerated from corruption, abuse of public office, embezzlement, mismanagement, etc; were and still unacceptable globally to both developed and developing economies, because of reckless abuse and violation of fundamental human rights, the Nigerian experience of almost 30 years of military governments, (compared to the SIXTEEN inglorious years of Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP), of orchestrated supervision of massive institutional corruption at all levels from Aso Rock to all the Local Government Wards in the Federation), had proved to be far better in the deliverance of socio-economic and infrastructural dividends for the good of the masses who were always at the receiving end of the POWER STRUGGLE!

President Muhammadu Buhari, Nigeria's Military Ruler (31st December, 1983 - 27th August 1985), on assumption of office was determined to recover all embezzled government funds which had contributed to both domestic/foreign national debts but his good intentions were cut short within 20 months of ascension of office before he could achieve meaningful results.
The Nigerian Military struck, FIVE years into democracy and in the ensuing years of the several CHANGE OF GUARDS, we can equivocally say that all military regimes ventured to outdo one another before being overthrown!

For instance, the mission of Change Agenda embarked upon by the APC ruling government was the brain-child of President Muhammadu Buhari, who as military ruler between, 31st December, 1983 - 27th August, 1985, moved against the corrupt citizens in the polity to recover embezzled government funds which was responsible for the huge domestic and foreign debts incurred during the tenure of Alhaji Shehu Shagari, his civilian predecessor who ruled between October 1979 and 31st December, 1983!
Buhari as the military Head of State, within that short period also took urgent steps to restore discipline among the civil service and by extension to the populace through a programme tagged "War Against Indiscipline" which engendered patriotic tendencies of faithful and righteous service delivery, probity, honesty and equity in public and private businesses. Though, he was cut short from actualizing that DREAM, today, GOD has given him another opportunity to complete the divinely-ordained assignment which he began in 1983!

INFRASTRUCTURAL/INSTITUTIONAL LEGACIES OF THE MILITARY!
Nigerians have experienced SIX successful and THREE failed military coups without civil constitutions and legislators but through martial laws/decrees, yet the greatest dividends of productive governance to the masses, were recorded during those administrations! Emphasis was placed on masses-oriented policies which rejected the UNITARY system and introduced Social Infrastructures through the creation of 36 STATES; creation of a new Federal Capital Territory in Abuja, introduction of the Local Government Reforms and regular employment opportunities for all categories of youths and employable able-bodied adults. Other achievements included, discouragement of Wastages in Governance through low profile lifestyles of Officers and men of the Armed Forces and the Civil Service; dependence on crude oil was de-emphasised by government through the introduction of an agrarian policy which encouraged AGRICULTURE at all levels of government and among family units in such programmes tagged, "Operation Feed The Nation"; "Green Revolution"; etc; construction of Hydro-Electric/Thermal Stations for Water Dams in arid and semi-arid lands of the nation, where rainfall is low, for electric power generation, water- irrigation for farming and water supply - mostly in Northern Nigeria, (Jebba, Kainji, (NigerState); Bakolori, (Sokoto); Dadin Kowa, (Gombe); Jibiya (Katsina); Tiga, (Kano); Shiroro Dams (Niger); and began Egbin Power Station! Onne Fetilizer Plant in Rivers State, NAFDAC, Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ajaokuta Steel Industry, etc.); eradication of corruption in the Public Service through probes into their earnings, properties and bank accounts were some other achievements.

The military administration also constructed national edifices like Stadia in all former national and some regional capitals, - National Stadium, Lagos; Kaduna Stadium, Kaduna; and also in various state capitals by Military Governors; the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos, Tinubu Water Fountain Square, Lagos; National Theatre for Arts and Culture, Iganmu, Lagos; Third Mainland Bridge, Eko Bridge, Festac Town, all in Lagos; Lagos-Ibadan/Benin Express Road; new State Airports; construction of the Presidential Lodge (State House), Abuja ; and construction of the Warri, Kaduna, and Port-Harcourt Refineries.

THE NEED FOR PERIODIC CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS!
In credible global democracies, periodic constitutional amendments serve to deepen good governance and strengthen bilateral relationship between leaders and the led, but in Nigeria, ambitious legislators have turned the exercise into an avenue for acquiring more political powers outside of the sacred document!
All constitutions are fallible, having been crafted by human minds/brains and as such could be fraught with obsolete ideas as the years of nations progress, hence the intermittent revisions of the numerous sections to meet international best practice of evolving civilisations and technologies. Legislators of the 8th Assembly on the 26th and 27th July, 2017, agreed to forward 24 bills after all harmonisations, but through inordinate ambitions, have infuriated the sensibilities of the masses/electorate, who have rejected their selfish voting’s as enumerated in earlier paragraphs, before they could be forwarded to the Legislative Assemblies of the 36 States for TWO-THIRD majority ratification!

It is crystal clear that the legislators are on a suicidal bid to COVET Executive functions in spite of very distinctive functions and privileges of the TWO ARMS, which are unambiguous as stipulated and enshrined in the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, but have forgotten that the Sovereignty to make FINAL DECISIONS belong to the entire 170 million PEOPLE OF NIGERIA whose psyche and sensibilities cannot continue to be manipulated by these UNGRATEFUL SERVANTS who dwell in comfort and opulence at the expense of our brethren in the IDPs Camps and those who sleep under the bridges and in market stalls in all weather conditions!

NIGERIA NEEDS A BRAND NEW CONSTITUTION WHICH WILL EMPHASIZE DEVOLUTION OF POWER TO FEDERATING UNITS, ENSHRINE RESOURCE CONTROL THROUGH DERIVATIVE FORMULA, PLACE LEGISLATION AT THE FEDERAL LEVEL IN THE HANDS OF 74 PATRIOTIC NIGERIANS WHO WOULD CONSTITUTE ONLY ONE CHAMBER AS OBTAINS IN STATE ASSEMBLIES, WORK ON PART-TIME BASIS AND COLLECT CIVIL SERVICE REMUNERATION FORMAT, IN ORDER TO DISCOURAGE MONETARY ATTRACTIONS WHICH HAD BEEN A BANE TO NIGERIAN POLITICS SINCE 1999!

THE HATCHET JOB OF THE FIRST REPUBLIC!
Historical records show that the pre- independence 1959 Parliamentary Elections in which the Northern People’s Congress (NPC), led by Sir Ahmadu Bello, had the highest seats of 148 out of 312, but could not form a Federal Government except through an alliance with another Party, precipitated the genesis of the inordinate ambition among the founding fathers who eventually played into the hands of the Military and opportuned the soldiers to reap where they did not sow for almost 30 years of self-imposed and forceful yoke under the neo-colonial Nigerian Army taskmasters!

The National Council of Nigeria and Cameroons (NCNC), of Eastern Nigeria led by Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe which came second with 89 seats, wasted no time to align with NPC to form the very first Federal Government to the consternation of the Western-based Action Group (AG), under the leadership of Chiefs Obafemi Awolowo and his deputy, Samuel Ladoke Akintola, which came third with 75 seats! In view of that development, Chief Awolowo, became leader of Opposition in the Federal Parliament while his deputy Chief Akintola who took over as Premier generated a crisis which erupted in Western Nigeria as he hatched his own ambition to run the Party through an alliance with Sirs Ahmadu Bello and Tafawa Balewa, the first Prime Minister in a new Party which was christened, Nigerian National Alliance (NNA)!

In May 1962, the Action Group broke into two factions in the Federal Parliament and also in the Western House of Assembly where NCNC had, majority members as a result of the squabble between Chiefs Awolowo and Akintola. The rancour ignited high levels of violence, resulting in the burning down of political opponents and their properties indiscriminately in support of the two gladiators with PETROL, in a vicious criminality code-named, "Operation Wetie", (meaning, wet with petrol and burn); which earned Western Region the appellation of "WILD-WILD WEST"!

The Federal Government of the First Republic did not help matters because, instead of calling for fresh elections for the Western Electorate to choose their preferred leader, a Sole Administrator was imposed in December of 1962; while in 1963, Chief Awolowo, who still nursed the ambition of becoming Prime Minister, in subsequent elections was arrested with some accomplices for coup plotting and treason, tried and sentenced to 10 years in prison. He was released in 1970 by General Yakubu Gowon, and appointed as the Federal Minister of Finance. During his tenure as Premier of Western Nigeria, Chief Awolowo pursued an ideology of DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISM, a policy which encouraged the State's participation in business enterprises; while his deputy, preferred CONSERVATIVE CAPITALISM!
Chief Awolowo made several unsuccessful attempts to become President of Nigeria and in a eulogy at his demise on 9th May, 1987; he was described as the PRESIDENT NIGERIA NEVER HAD!

PDP REPRESENTS THE NIGERIAN NATIONAL ALLIANCE (NNA), OF THE FIRST REPUBLIC!
The embroiled Peoples Democratic Party, of Nigeria's EIGHT REPUBLIC, has at least THREE splinter groups that are desperately scouting for fresh political relevance through confederate parties who would support them to “REGAIN POWER AT THE FEDERAL LEVEL", (just as in the First Republic), by hook or crook at the 2019 General Elections in spite of the fact that they are yet to repair the horrible damages done to Nigeria's economy during their FOUR consecutive tenures (16 years), of massive institutional CORRUPTION, AND BARE-FACED ROBBERY OF THE NATION'S COFFERS! IS THIS NOT AN IRONY OF LIFE?

BUHARI WAS DIVINELY CHOSEN TO RULE NIGERIA NOW!
From the day the incumbent President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, (GCFR) expressed his FOURTH intention to contest for the number one position on the platform of the mega APC Change Party in 2014, hell was let loose among the 16-year-old PDP looting team that was about to be shown the door! They threw caution and decorum overboard, unleashed a barrage of abuses, insults, curses, hate speeches and all manner of tantrums, that were not even restricted to verbal utterances but extended to the print and electronic media through paid advertorials by hired mercenary journalists!
But in spite of all the barrages of vendetta, BUHARI WAS VITORIOUS AT THE 2015 PRESIDENTIAL POLLS WITH A LANDSLIDE MARGIN! Not satisfied with their unholy outbursts, these notorious descendants of the Wild-Wild West terrorists, took advantage of the indisposition of President Buhari following an unexpected health challenge to begin fresh attacks on his personality, private life/previous marriage, without caution or respect for his age and office as the Executive President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria! One of them, a mercenary politician and ex-minister announced the DEMISE of the President and claimed that the over 180 million Nigerian citizens were being governed by a DEAD MAN!
ANOTHER HATE TERRORIST, A SOUTH WEST PDP RENEGADE GOVERNOR, also declared that the President was on a LIFE SUPPORT EQUIPMENT in a London Hospital and that he had ELEVEN photographs to back his claim; but recent developments in respect of government delegation visits, which included SOME PDP GOVERNORS, to President Buhari which have proved beyond all reasonable doubts that PRESIDENT BUHARI IS ALIVE, HAIL AND HEARTY, have turned the tables against these ENEMIES OF THE NIGERIAN STATE AND GOD!
The antecedent of the hate terrorists, who are DESTINED TO PERISH SUDDENLY, has been traced to the Wild-Wild West leading politicians of 1962-1965!

ARE THESE SPOILERS UNTOUCHABLE?
In keeping with his electoral promise, President Buhari has displayed great maturity and statesmanship in the handling of issues concerning his vicious political opponents who have brazenly challenged his authority as the Executive President and Commander-In-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, by allowing the LAW to take its rightful course without interference, let or hindrance - a display of good character combined with diplomacy, which had always afforded him the necessary edge for good governance. THE ATMOSPHERE OF UNHINDERED AND UNCHECKED BRAZENESS IN THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY BY THE LEGISLATORS IN THE LAST TWO YEARS OF FRESH DEMOCRACY IS A GLARING EXAMPLE OF PRESIDENTIAL/EXECUTIVE DIPLOMACY AND NOT WEAKNESS AS SOME MAY THINK WHILE THE ULTIMATE PUNISHMENT FOR THE UNGODLY RESTS WITH THE LORD GOD OF CREATION!

In this physical universe, there are TWO CATEGORIES of people - the GOOD and the BAD! The good people are the law-abiding citizens who fear GOD and dwell peacefully with others within the confines of the rule of law as enshrined in the constitutions of their various countries, without infringing on the fundamental rights of their neighbours. On the other side, are the bad ones - sadists and psychopaths - who take delight in intimidating, hurting, harassing and persecuting peaceful citizens/perceived enemies for inexplicable reasons!

There is also a corresponding divine creation known as THE SPIRIT WORLD - AN INVISIBLE REALM WHERE GOOD AND BAD ANGELS hold sway to influence all events on the EARTH, positively or negatively. (Hebrews.1:14; compare Ephesians. 6:12). Most Nigerian politicians in positions of authority fall into the second category of bad, unrepentant and un-remorseful citizens who relish in all forms of crimes and criminalities which were usually packaged and veiled with institutional impunity - all in the name POLITIKING which is the PORTAL through which the evil machinations of all economic saboteurs, are "GOOGLED" to the detriment of the helpless downtrodden!
In Nigeria, politicking is synonymous with INSTITUTIONAL CORRUPTION THROUGH PARTY PATRONAGE, BUDGET PADDING, PHANTOM LEGISLATIVE CONSTITUENCIES PROJECTS/DUBIOUS GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS, TREASURY LOOTING, BRAZEN ACQUISITION OF ILLICIT WEALTH THROUGH CRUDE OIL BUNKERING, MONEY LAUNDERING, HATE SPEECHES, DISRESPECT FOR ELDERS, SUPPORT FOR POLITICAL BRIGANDAGE; ETC. During Nigeria's several political crisis which dominated events of the 1960's and eventually culminated in the "Majors Military Coup of 15th January, 1966", grievous, inciting /swelling words, hate speeches and deep-rooted animosity, characterized the gladiators "modus operandi" which led to wanton destruction of lives and properties in the then Western Region of Nigeria and by extension the entire nation in the form of the THREE-YEAR-OLD BIAFRA CIVIL WAR - 1967-1970!

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! LET US ALL REJECT A REPEAT of such unpalatable and barbaric experience - not again, not ever! We should trust in the divine healing of our beloved and amiable President Muhammadu Buhari and expect him back in Nigeria soonest. Amen.

The colonial amalgamation of Northern and Southern Nigeria was effected in 1914, with good intentions, for the diverse tribes, tongues, castes, traditions and cultures to fuse, blend and harness their great agricultural/natural potentials to build a united Black African nation of great economic advantage that would attract foreign entrepreneurs to explore/exploit opportunities of investment and industrialization of the large market space! That purpose was achieved because the period between 1914-1960, turned out to be 46 years of tremendous economic activities of exports, imports and massive industrialization of Nigeria from South to North and East to West; - construction of motorable roads and railways for transportation of goods and services from the hinterland to sea ports along the coastal regions in the South. Transportation was also introduced when the first airport was constructed in a Royal Air Force Station, Makia, Kano, long before Independence in 1936, and later in other regional capitals.
In all those years, NIGERIANS had everything in common! Economic and unrestricted commercial/trade zones between the three regions of North, East and West, inter marriages, cultural and traditional exchanges of dress codes, encouragement of the study of the three major languages of Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba from the primary education level, and legalization of COMMON OWNERSHIP of proceeds from commercialization of mineral resources in any part of the federation! The Minerals and Mining Act of 1947 which was enacted by the British colonial masters and which eventually found its legislation in our traditional consecutive Federal Constitutions, readily comes to mind. Under the SECOND SCHEDULE, LEGISLATIVE POWERS, Part I, Executive Legislative List, No. 39, "Mines and minerals, including oil fields, oil mining, geological surveys and natural gas", operations shall be the exclusive preserve of the Federal Government. Also under Chapter II, Fundamental Objectives And Directive Principles Of State Policy, Section 16, (2),(a),(b),(c), in summary legislated for a PLANNED AND BALANCED ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, under the ECONOMIC OBJECTIVES OF GOVERNMENT; i.e. that the material resources of the nation are HARNESSED AND DISTRIBUTED, as best as possible to serve the common good; and that the economic system is not operated IN SUCH A MANNER AS TO PERMIT THE CONCENTRATION OF WEALTH OR THE MEANS OF PRODUCTION AND EXCHANGE IN THE HANDS OF FEW INDIVIDUALS OR OF A GROUP!

When the above analysis is juxtaposed with the current agitations for RESTRUCTURING OF NIGERIA for diverse reasons and intentions by the unpatriotic and the charlatan, it becomes crystal clear that the good intentions of the colonial masters for Nigeria to utilize her unique diversity advantageously for collective strength and be united as one indivisible people, has been truncated because it did not take long after INDEPENDENCE before that dream fell like a pack of cards through a bloody military coup and since 15th January, 1966, all things had fallen apart and the centre could no longer hold, according to renown late author and writer, CHINUA ACHEBE!

BEAUTY OF UNITY AMONG BRETHREN.
In the Word of God, a song of degrees of David states as follows: "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity. It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aar'on's beard; that went down to the skirts of his garments; As the dew of Her'mon and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion, For there the LORD commanded the blessing , even life for evermore." (Psalm. 133).This Godly exhortation according to the International Bible Commentary titled, “ALL IN ONE GOD", states as follows: "The opening verse is a wisdom saying which originally discouraged brothers from setting up separate households and so dividing the family estate (cf. Dt. 25: 5). Here it is put into an eider use, as v. 3b and the religious nature of the comparisons in vv. 2-3a reveal. From all over the country pilgrims would converge on Jerusalem to celebrate the festival in worship. The crowded Keswick-like scene was a fine representation of the unity of the covenant community, bound by a common faith. (Psalm. 24). God teaches unity of purpose in all endeavours of life as it was in Creation when the TRINITY united to create Man in His image and likeness! (Genesis. 1: 26-28).

RESTRUCTURING OF NIGERIA AS DEMANDED BY CHARLATANS!

1. BIAFRA SECESSION: Col. Odumegu Ojukwu’s act of secession of the Eastern Region (christened "Biafra", from Nigeria which led to a 30-month-old Nigerian Civil War (16th July, 1967-12th January, 1970). The senseless war claimed an estimated 2 million lives - including many Biafran women and children and cost over $840 million US dollars to prosecute, according to the Federal Military Government! "OJUKWU AND BIAFRA REPUBLIC FAILED"!

2. MOVEMENT FOR THE EMANCIPATION OF THE NIGER DELTA! (MEND): Towards the dying days of military administration in the 90s, a group of restive youths of the Niger Delta extraction took up arms to agitate for EMANCIPATION of the region by violence through destruction of critical crude oil exploration infrastructures as they demanded for higher revenue percentage according to the principles of derivation, until the late President Umaru Ya'Ardua presented the "Olive Branch" through mouth-watering pipelines protection contracts to the warring vandals before peace was temporarily restored! "THE SELFISH AGITATION FOR EMANCIPATION FAILED BUT NIGERIA MATCHES ON IN VICTORY"!

3. BOKO HARAM INSURGENCY: In 2009, a remnant of an Islamic fundamentalist called MAITATSINE which group was suppressed during the 80s and 90s, also resurfaced under a new leader called MOHAMMED YUSUF, with new Islamic ideologies completely opposed to the Muslim norms and practice in Nigeria and also to Western Education as entrenched in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999. The small group eventually metamorphosed into armed insurgents the moment their leader was extra-judicially killed and for over SEVEN years, the nation had grappled with massive slaughtering of innocent Nigerians of about one million of civilians and soldiers while the terrorists overran 14 Local Government Areas in the North East which they claimed as their CALIPHATE! Today, the story is different because BOKO HARAM has been defeated by the superior power of God's Army, which led the Federal troops to recapture the 14 LGA’s and to destroy all their hide outs in SAMBISA FOREST! "THE TERRORISTS HAVE DISCOVERED THAT NIGERIA CANNOT BE BROKEN BECAUSE IT IS ESTABLISHED BY THE ALMIGHTY GOD WHO IS NO RESPECTER OF PERSONS AND WHOSE AUTHORITY CAN NEVER BE CHALLENGED!"

4. EX-PRESIDENT EBELE JONATHAN'S 2014 NATIONAL CONFERENCE: That Conference was "cleverly" put together by the ex-President to perpetrate himself in office and elongate the era of corruption with impunity by thieving politicians and greedy government officials, many of who have embezzled so much from the consecutive crooked system and were unmistakably richer than most State Governments! All selected 492 delegates, conference officials and staff CONSUMED AND GULP a sum of about N20 billion naira of the tax-payers monies to cater for accommodation allowances, hotel bills and feeding! They spent about FOUR MONTHS without any new recommendations different from previous similar conferences and even shamelessly referred the controversial/contentious issues of RESOURCE CONTROL AND PRINCIPLES OF DERIVATION FORMULA TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TECHNICAL COMMITEE WHICH SHOULD BE SET UP TO DETERMINE THE KNOTTY MATTER! That Government squandered all available collective wealth and bequeathed a virtually EMPTY TREASURY for the in-coming administration to contend with! "THE PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY AND JONATHAN WERE DISGRACED AT THE 2015 GENERAL ELECTIONS THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO HAND OVER UNTIL FEW DAYS TO THE INAUGURATION OF PRESIDENT BUHARI!

5. THE CONFEDERATION OF NIGER DELTA CRUDE OIL PIPELINE VANDALS: Pipeline vandals/terrorists began a violent crusade of secession from the rest of Nigeria since the advent of the Change Administration of President Buhari because, according to them, over 80% of the Federal Government's annual revenue was derived from their region while they had nothing in form of social development or infrastructures to show for the oil rich geo-political zone! From 2015 to December 2016, the vandals practically sabotaged Nigeria's economy and forced THREE CONSECUTIVE RECESSIONS on the citizens who had to endure very high inflation on goods and services due to the inordinate ambition of "fellow citizens"! CONSTITUTIONAL AMMENDMENT FOR FISCAL FEDERALISM COULD BE THE SOLUTION!
Patriotic Nigerians and economists have at different forums canvassed for fiscal federalism in which federating States which are economically viable in mineral resources and mining should be at liberty to keep larger percentage of proceeds from internally generated revenue and to remit an agreeable portion to the Federal Government for its overall commitments/services to the federation in respect of defence, currency, immigration, customs, internal security etc. But to achieve this noble suggestion, both the Executive and the Legislature have to agree to reach a consensus to amend the Constitution for legal effect. But until then, SECESSION AGITATORS should realize that NIGERIA'S UNITY IS NON- NEGOTIABLE! NAKED WE CAME INTO THE WORLD, NAKED WE SHALL RETURN!

Since the advent of the new Change Administration,
there had been an orchestrated gang-up of vicious
criticisms by some unpatriotic Nigerians against every
move made by the President and his economic team to
sanitize the polity of the stench and rot of endemic
institutional corruption bequeathed by past military and
civilian governments in 54 years of the post -
independent nation! No one was put in doubt, right from the campaign period of the 2015 General Elections, in what direction the All Progressives Congress [APC], was headed:

(1) Total war against and elimination of
corruption;
(2) Resuscitation of the fledging and ailing
economy; and
(3) The re-engineering, overhaul and re-organisation of all security agencies for the enabling strategies to contain, defeat and totally eliminate the
national insecurity created through six, very bloody
years (2009-2015), of Boko Haram insurgency which
almost destroyed the very foundation of democratic
governance of Nigeria!

And, of course, the massive support and unprecedented turn out for the APC, on all
election days, (in spite of rigging gimmicks, delaying
tactics and money-induced voting pattern, employed by
the then ruling People’s Democratic Party [PDP] ), were very clear indications of where the pendulum swung and favoured the populist Party into a landslide, convincing and undisputable victory, which prompted Dr. Ebele Jonathan to congratulate his opponent before the official announcement of final results by Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC]!

Those who swore by the "graves of their ancestors",
that President Muhammadu Buhari, would never win the election, were all infuriated with former President
Jonathan, faulted and scolded him for not refusing the
authentic results; and have in the last 25 months,
become "thorn in the flesh" of the new administration in
the area of persistent baseless and unwarranted
criticisms of every move of government!

They have criticized, him for embarking on several unnecessary international journeys, not rescuing the over 218 Chibok Secondary School Girls, abducted by Boko Haram terrorists, since 14th April, 2014, even when 82 more of them were rescued recently; for failing to revive the economy which snow-dived due to international crude oil glut and price somersault from $100 - 48 USD, in 2014; for being a religious bigot who planned to Islamize Nigeria; for loop-sided Federal appointments which favoured the Northerners; for employing security agents to harass only Southern politicians; for "unleashing" the EFCC, DSS and POLICE against PDP Opposition members;
for employing "incompetent" ministers who have no
solutions for the current economic recession; for not
inviting former economists who served under former
Presidents Obasanjo and Jonathan, who piloted the
economic ship of the nation and ran it aground; for the
failures in the power, roads, housing and health sectors;
for not listening to the advice of distinguished, revered
and eminent Nigerians at home and the Diaspora on
matters relating to economic competence; for not
respecting the constitutional laws of separation of
powers between the Executive, Legislators and the
Judiciary; etc.

Though, these contracted critics had refused to see anything good in the APC Government, they were unable to stop the successes that have been
recorded so far in respect of the steady and tacit defeat
of terrorism by Boko Haram, the quick diversification
from oil to agricultural income within the short period,
and all welfare programmes specifically geared towards the alleviation of mass poverty, amongst women, children and the elderly, in spite of the lean purse of government at inception. Presently, more money was being pumped into the economy to support the Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMSEs), which are the backbone and foundation to economic buoyancy of any serious administration which is poised to fulfil its social contract obligations to the citizenry. Apart from the monies looted by Nigerians and deposited in foreign banks, which are being recovered, the World Bank is prepared to support the APC Government with some favourable loan to overcome the travail of the transient economic recession. What was the gain of the common man in all of these past? Did restructuring put food on his table? Where are his ancestors who toiled for Nigeria? Did they not all die in penury and poverty? Where the employment opportunities were for employable and able-bodied citizens in all of the window-dressing antics called restructuring? The unemployment ratio in Nigeria is almost 65% in spite of the efforts of the present Change Administration!

In the beginning, GOD created Man as a TRIPARTITE personality i.e. Body, Soul and Spirit, capable of reasoning constructively, highly sensible to make independent decisions without coercion, pressure, intimidation or harassment by anyone other than his God-endowed Conscience! . We believe that there is nothing wrong with Nigeria's present STRUCTURE of 36 States - what is wrong is maladministration by politicians who have FAILED for the umpteenth time to HARNESS the God-given natural resources within their reach to generate massive INTERNAL REVENUES to make the States sustainable economically because of their SELFISH AGENDA TO SIPHON SUCH WEALTH FOR PERSONAL AGGRANDIZEMENT!
We had severally advocated that GOVERNORS of the 36 States should be forced to give account of the Federal Government's BAIL OUT FUNDS LENT TO THEM FOR THE PAYMENT OF BACK-LOG OF WORKERS SALARIES IN 2015&2016, AND ALSO THOSE OF 35 STATES FOR TWO TRANCHES OF PARIS CLUB REFUND OF SEVERAL BILLIONS OF NAIRA OVER-DEDUCTED THROUGH LOAN SERVICING and it is gratifying to learn that SERAP, - a Nigerian anti-corruption Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), has secured a COURT ORDER which must now force the States helmsmen to give account of disbursement of the said strategic funds to SERAP and by extension for public knowledge, since mismanagement of the funds was rumoured in the social media!

On 29th June, 2017, a Lagos Federal High Court, granted leave which now permits Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP), to seek and order of mandamus (an order from a court to an inferior government official ordering the official to properly fulfil his official duties or correct an abuse of discretion ), directing the government to publish details of his spending of the N388.304 billion London Paris Club Loan refunds allegedly diverted and mismanaged by 35 States of the Nigerian Federation. In a very brief ruling, the Judge permitted SERAP to proceed with the legal challenge to unravel how those States spent the loan refund. Justice Muslim Hassan, stressed that it was pertinent for the authorities "to come and tell us how they spent our money." The Governors had claimed that they spent the refunds on strategic social projects! WE WILL ALSO CONTINUE TO ADVOCATE FOR INDEPENDENT CANDIDATES WITH INDEPENDENT MINDS WHO WILL TRULY REPRESENT THE DOWNTRODDEN WITHOUT LET OR HINDRANCE; AND IT IS OUR BELIEF THAT THE ONGOING NATIONAL ASSEMBLY (NASS), 1999 CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT JOINT COMMITTEE WOULD ENSURE THE PASSAGE OF THIS ADVOCACY!

The THREE-PRONGED THRUST of the Change Administration's effort to revamp the bastardized economy on assumption of governance in 2015, was,
(1) To erase and obliterate CORRUPTION completely
(2) To destroy all manner of insurgency and annihilate the Boko Haram terrorism
(3) Create an enabling and conducing atmosphere and opportunities through massive diversification to Agriculture/Solid Mineral natural resources from the mono-crude oil product, in order to cater for the total welfare package of the TALAKAWAS!

We were therefore not surprised that the arrowheads of the The 2014 National Conference solely organised by ex President Ebele Jonathan, to boost his electoral chances for his THIRD TERM in office have championed the advocacy that the CONTROVERSIAL REPORT OF THE CONFERENCE which was nothing short of a monumental fraud against the electorate and the generality of citizens of Nigeria, should be ADOPTED as panacea for RESTRUCTURING! What an effrontery?

Have the VIPERS not exposed their penchant for greed and avarice once again in order to remain "relevant" from one administration to another? But patriotic Nigerians have not forgotten that the President who rejoiced while Nigeria was devastated by a terrible inferno in the disastrous theatre of BOKO HARAM WAR, only succeeded to BRIBE 492 GOVERNMENT-SELECTED DELEGATES, Conference Officials and Staff with a whooping sum of about N20 billion naira of tax payers money to cater for accommodation allowances, hotel bills, feeding and transportation for the FOUR MONTHS JAMBOREE, AND NOT THE DOWNTRODDEN CITIZENS who make up the 180 million population! Late President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua and Ebele Jonathan, assumed office on 29th May, 2007, and under their watch, the NUCLEUS of the BOKO HARAM CELL, birthed in Maiduguri, capital city of Bornu State, in 2009! Ex-President Yar'Adua passed on in the year 2010, leaving his Vice to carry on the job of the AMNESTY PROGRAMME for Niger Delta Militants and also the COUNTER-INSURGENCY operations against the Boko Haram Religious Sect in the North Eastern State; but sadly enough, Ebele Jonathan cared less in respect of the insurgency!


On 14th April, 2014, there was a twin-bomb attack by Boko Harram terrorists on the Federal Capital Territory's (FCT), populous suburb of Nyanyan, Bus Terminal, in which not less 79 unfortunate citizens suddenly lost their lives and on the same fateful day, about 275 students of the Chibok Girls Secondary School, in Borno State, were kidnapped by the same group which PASSIONATELY HATES WESTERN EDUCATION!
At one stage, during the castigation of his government's failure and ineptitude in recovering the captives within a reasonable period, the ex-President said publicly that the reported case of kidnapping was a HOAX AND CHEAP POLITICAL BLACKMAIL AGAINST HIS ADMINISTRATION!
After Jonathan's exit, the Change All Progressives Congress (APC), Administration which was determined to win the war against the terrorists, discovered that the sum of $2.1 billion US dollars, which was appropriated to purchase ARMS and AMMUNITION to prosecute the war against insurgency was allegedly diverted by retired Col. Sambo Dasuki, the National Security Adviser (NSO), (presently on trial), for the presidential ambition of his boss, Ebele Jonathan in 2015!

Before Jonathan's providential opportunity in governance, BAYELSA, his State of origin was one of the smallest in land mass and population, which complained bitterly of MARGINALIZATION AND AGITATED FOR RESTRUCTURING. God gave Jonathan a miraculous opportunity to rule Nigeria but he turned out to be unfit for the enormous assignment which has now been given to a more dignified team who are ready to do the will of God for the majority poor masses! In spite of Jonathan's failure, Bayelsa is also agitating for restructuring - but which type would they vote for this time around?

WE MUST ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT NO PEOPLE, RACE, COLOUR OR CREED POSSESSES ANY LAND ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD! NOLLYWOOD FILMS ARE POLLUTING SOCIETAL VALUES! THEY SHOULD BE CENSORED!

In 2014, Nigeria was credited for being the country with the largest re-based Gross Domestic Product (GDP), index for the year 2013 on the African continent, and the 26th globally. Nollywood, as an arm of the entertainment and music industry with the mobile telephone market, were credited for contributing 12% (per cent), or N853.9 billion naira of foreign exchange earnings to the nation's economy through film productions, music and telephone communications which should have been meticulously and thoroughly censored and monitored to meet international best practice for both local and export consumption, before sales distribution and shipment! Nigeria’s celebrated GDP estimates for the year 2013 was put at $ 510 billion US dollars or N80.3 trillion taking into account the massive contribution to national economy by these SERVICE-ORIENTED SECTOR, a revelation that the level of economic activity at that period, was much higher than in the 24 years before 2013. The economic landscape was majorly boosted by this Sector which offered a significant opportunity for growth and wealth creation; BUT AT WHAT COST?

The uninformed or uneducated citizens kept wondering why the nation's economy had not had positive impact on their lifestyles with all past administrations, military or democracy without getting reasonable answers for their dilemma because the players in the economy before 29th, May, 2015, cornered all the dividends for themselves and abandoned the poor masses to their uncertain fate and it did not take long before economic RECESSION began to take its toll on the nation! Nollywood which is an acronym, sobriquet or colloquial term for the Nigerian Film Industry, dates back to early 2000s, when Nigerian films began to evolve and to attract international attention as Nigeria's version of America's Hollywood or India's Bollywood major film entertainment industries as they were released in some of the nation's major languages, notable cultures/ traditions with which Nigeria is richly blessed! Outside of contributing naira, kobo and foreign currencies to the coffers of the nation Nollywood had bequeathed the "GREEK GIFT" of PLAGUES, PESTILLENCES, DISASTERS, CALAMITIES ETC, upon the land of Nigeria through 100% emphasis on IDOLATORY - SORCERY, ENCHANTMENTS, DIVINATIONS , SYNCRETISM, ETC, which has further compounded the almost miserable and meaningless lives of the downtrodden who believed in most of Nollywood MISLEADING THEMES AND STORY LINES which unfortunately had not been adequately controverted by the regulatory, supervising and censorship authorities saddled with this very SENSITIVE, SPIRITUAL AND VERY DELICATE ISSUE OF GODLESS FAITH!

Although the pre and post independent Nigeria witnessed celluloid films broadcast of outstanding artistes from the geographical regions, nothing could be compared to the technology of HOME VIDEO FILM DISCS PRODUCTION which debuted from late 20th Century, which overwhelmed, drowned and almost brought to extinction the clamour for CINEMA CENTRES across the nation! In a more civilized Nigeria of this new century, hardly would one find any household without a TELEVISION SET, SMART OR ANDROID PHONES through which they could watch Nollywood films which became so popular among the populace and globally.

There was no doubt that it was a good development for both the film industry and the Nigerian economy because of the nation's attainment as Africa's busiest economic destination, BUT WHY WOULD NOLLYWOOD PRODUCERS DESTROY THOSE GAINS THROUGH ENCOURAGEMENT OF IDOL WORSHIP WHICH HAS DRIVEN MANY INTO ILLICIT ACQUISITION OF WEALTH THROUGH MURDER AND HUMAN BLOOD SHEDDING?
Because this "modern" film industry had been busy dishing out globally, through UNHOLY Visual Cassette Discs (VCD's), about Nigeria to other nations in the name of propagating CULTURE, TRADITION, RELIGION AND GOOD MORALS? Though most of the films are produced in Nigeria's lingua franca which is the English Language, film makers always ensured that translations of others done along ethnic, tribal or regional formats were done through sub-titles for wider reach. The Hausa- language cinema, informally known as "KANNYWOOD" (a sub-industry of Nollywood -based in Kano), Yoruba, Ibo, Itsekiri, Edo, Urhobo, etc, Film Productions fall into this category.

However it is very disheartening that ALL OF THE NOLLYWOOD FILMS EXIBIT WITH RELISH, THE FOLLOWING HUMAN NEGATIVE AND UNGODLY TRAITS IN THE FORM OF:
Violence;
Gangsterism;
Robbery;
Cultism;
Immorality;
Paganism;
Idolatry;
Heathenism, (enchantment, socerery, divination, witchcraft, wizardry, worship of water and marine spirits/powers;
Confrontation against lawful authorities, (militancy/insurgency);
Corruption of societal and national values through emphasis on the power and love of money/money-making rituals with HUMAN BLOOD, instead of the love of God who gives power to make wealth;
Exhibition of inferiority complex in fashion and lifestyle; ( love for false BRAZILIAN wigs, foreign dress style instead of made in Nigeria fabrics and total BLEECHING of the skin by both male and female artistes), and
MORAL DECADENCE, through which the national campaign against sexual immorality became a NULITY and the nation has recorded at least 20 million Nigerians who are HIV/AIDS POSITIVE! Of all of the above VICES, immoralities in the forms of illicit sexual activities, fornication, adultery, disobedience to parents/lawful authorities, reveling/celebration and emphasis on the love of money, and ABNORMAL SKIN BLEECHING, stand out conspicuously!

They celebrate Witches/Wizards/Witch Doctor/Ancestral gods, whom they regard as more powerful than God- worshipping/ God-fearing citizens whom they portray as mere mortals in order to instill fear into them for their illicit monetary gains. Film producers story themes always vindicated WITCH DOCTORS, while those who consulted their SHRINES were left to face the consequences of their idolatry acts!

They promoted invisible occult powers that struck people dead in their sleep and which also make criminals to disappear from scenes of crime and escape arrests! Other promotions include groups of young witches who "possess" evil powers which they unleashed on perceived enemies or rival fraternities in form of deaths or incurable infirmities while "gods of the land - iron gods; thunder, lightining , rain, crops/fertility gods , etc, were worshiped with the zeal of national pride though Nigeria is constitutionally SECULAR!

DID YOU KNOW THAT MOST YOUTHS AND MARRIED COUPLES FACED WITH CHALLENGES OF FINANCES, CHILD BEARING, JOBLESSNESS, PROMOTIONS, VENGEANCE; ETC, ARE DESPERATELY SEEKING DIABOLICAL POWERS TO OVERCOME THESE CHALLENGES THROUGH THOSE WITCH DOCTORS AND HERBALIST REGULARLY PROMOTED IN NOLLYWOOD FILMS?
Nollywood film makers are misleading the Nigerian youths who copycat all make-beliefs in the films they watched on regular basis and always experimented on the immorality of real sexual acts of fornication and even gang rapes of unfortunate girls or women! Married couples relish in adultery while the rituals of money-making with human parts/blood have become an all-comers affair while religious activities are deliberately relegated to the background! Although, PARENTAL GUIDANCE (PG), AND AGE LIMIT WARNINGS were usually displayed before every film episodes, they have turned out to be mere dress rehearsals because there was no way the advices could be enforced except the FILM CENSORS BOARD pronounces total ban of the negative and unethical film broadcasts by Nollywood to the Nigerian populace!

WHERE IS THE ROLE OF THE NATIONAL FILMS AND VIDEO CENSORS BOARD IN ALL OF THESE?
The National Film Video Censors Board (NFVCB), is the regulatory body set up by Act No. 85 of 1993 to regulate films and videos industry in Nigeria. NFVCB Board is empowered by law to classify all films and videos whether imported or produced locally. It is also the duty of the Board to register all films and video outlets across the country and to keep a register of such registered outlets among other functions in order to ensure national values. They are also to censor motion picture film, home movies and video productions; but have they been very diligent to function in their official duties in view of the massive infiltration of film and movie productions with false religious doctrines/bigotry, idolatry, violence etc as enumerated earlier. The current situation in the film industry is very frightening.

It is an all-comers affair of "damaging and destructive gabages in the form of entertainment", which has swept both religious and faith morals into the dust bins and incinerators and we believe that the right time to arrest this unhealthy development by the Ministries of Information and Culture at the Federal and State levels is NOW! NIGERIA, AND NOT BIAFRA WAS THE COUNTRY BIRTHED AT INDEPENDENCE IN 1960!.

The Truth and Nothing But the Truth About 30-Month Biafra Secession of 1967-1970 As meticulously and diligently Documented; To Dissuade Young Igbos from Precipitating Further Bloodshed of Innocent Nigerians! (Ezekiel. 33: 1- 33).

THE NIGERIAN CIVIL WAR:
(1). The Biafran Sesession War waged against Nigeria from 16th July, 1967 to 12th January, 1970, by a section of the Nigerian Army and citizens of the then Eastern Region, under the leadership of Colonel Odumegwu Ojukwu, was a compounded treasonable felony, in view of the fact that Nigeria was under the martial law through an initial coup de tat against the entire nation, led by Major Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu on 15th January, 1966!

(2) In the early hours of 15 January, 1966, several eminent Nigerian politicians, including, the Prime Minister and Premiers of the Northern and Western Regions were murdered in cold blood when soldiers of the Nigerian Army revolted in Kaduna, Lagos Ibadan and Enugu in a pre-meditated and well-planned coup!

(3) Here are some excerpts of coup leader, Major Nzeogwu in a broadcast on the 16th January, 1966: "We seized power to stamp out tribalism, nepotism and regionalism.... There were five us in the inner circle and we planned the details. On Saturday morning the officers and men thought they were going out only on a night exercise. It was not until they were out in the bush they were told the full details of the plan.....It was a truly Nigerian gathering and only in the army do you get true Nigerianism.... They did it for the good of their country.... We all started out in the same spirit but......."

(4) It was a bloody coup which took the lives of Northern and Western leaders but which spared those of the Eastern Region, including the first President, Dr.Nnamdi Azikiwe!

(5) According to the Republican Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Chapter I, General Provisions, Part I (2), "The Federal Republic of Nigeria shall not be governed, nor shall any person or group of persons take control of the Government of Nigeria or any part thereof, except in accordance with the provisions of this Constitution," but Major Nzeogwu and his coupists seized power with impunity!

(6) Elder Statesmen, Enerst Ikoli, and Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, of blessed memory would be fondly remembered for the dignified and noble roles they played alongside their fellow nationalists in the persons of late Herbert Macaulay, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Sir Ahmadu Bello and Chief Anthony Enahoro, who negotiated Nigeria's Independent status with the British Colonial Masters without shedding ONE DROP OF HUMAN BLOOD!

NIGERIAN NATION:
(7). Nigeria was birthed on the concept and principles of unity of people of diverse tongues, tribes, cultures/castes, who were determined to dwell together and harness their diversity into democratic prosperity/dividends and not on a myopic or narrow-minded philosophy of unitary governance of a selfish few, over the majority mass of other vulnerable citizens.

( Nigeria at Independence turned out to be the confederate of very peaceful people comprising of at least 250 tribes and over 500 languages who co-existed in love, happiness, mutual trust and understanding which progressed into inter-tribal marriages and pro-creation of inter-regional/inter-communal offspring’s as nucleus of the Nigerian dream of the founding fathers until 15th January, 1966, when Nigerian Army Major Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogu and his fellow coupist destroyed and shattered the erstwhile fabric of peace, tranquillity serenity, stability and conviviality among the good people of this great and promising nation, through a bloody coup - this FIRST OF ITS KIND IN THIS SUB-SAHARAN AFRICAN NATION!

KADUNA NZEOGU:
(9) The late Major Nzeogu's parents begat him in Kaduna where they migrated and prospered as traders. He grew up in Kaduna and due to his great affinity with Northern colleagues at school and later in the army, they named him after "Kaduna" his birth place, (though an Igbo by tribe), the then capital city of the Northern Region of Nigeria but unknown to them, he would someday rebel against his Fatherland by killing those he professed to love dearly!

(10) In recent contemporary global history, foreign immigrants by birth in some European countries had turned out to be traitors to their hosts! Both France and Germany, in 2016, and London and Manchester in 2017, have suffered terrorist attacks which claimed scores of innocent lives through the hands of ungrateful immigrant settlers/citizens who bit the fingers that fed them!

(11) That coup de tat by Kaduna Nzeogwu and other officers, mostly of the Eastern extraction was the SEED PLOT of animosity which had turned the North against the South - especially, South East, till date because fatalities of the TREASON, were Northern and Western Region indigenes - while political leaders of the Eastern Nigeria who were spared has its consequences and ripple effects in a counter coup by army officers of the Northern extraction in July 1966

(12) Why Would The Igbos Reject The Truth? Can They Re-write The Nigerian History? Inordinate ambition led the Igbos to shed innocent blood six months into Nigeria's independence and also to embark on a suicidal mission of secession in 1967, when their overall plan fell like a pack of cards!

(13) General Aguiyi Ironsi , Military Head of State introduced the hard line vertical style of UNITARY command system of government instead of devolving some measure of power to his Regional Governors whom he treated as mere puppets who must receive autocratic orders from him as the feudal lord alone. After his demise in the Second coup, Colonel Odumegwu Ojukwu, then Governor of the Eastern State, pursued an Igbo agenda of secession instead of employing RESTITUTION TACTICS and Over TWO MILLION Nigerians died in the 30-month-old BIAFRA WAR!

(14) YOUNG IGBOS ARE STILL AGITATING FOR SECESSION INSTEAD OF A POLITICAL RESTRUCTURING THAT WOULD FAVOUR THEM THROUGH THE CREATION OF A NEW STATE FOR SOUTH EAST GEO- POLITICAL ZONE! WHY WOULD ANY SANE PERSON WISH TO RESURRECT AN INORDINATE CAUSE THAT DESTROYED OVER TWO MILLION LIVES - 50 YEARS AFTER?

(15) To majority of patriotic Nigerians, a political re-structuring of financially stronger federating States in the form of devolution of power, for them to contribute to the centre and reverse the present trend of revenue sharing formula; and to others, the country should re-adopt the regional system of government as now expressed in the SIX Geo- Political zones through the scrapping of the 36 State Structure! WON'T MAJOR NZEOGWU STIR IN HIS GRAVE OVER A REVERSAL TO REGIONAL SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT?
HOW MANY IGBOS SUPPORT SECESSION APART FROM NNAMDI KANU AND RALPH NWAZURIKE?

(16) Ninety-nine point nine per cent of Igbos have denounced secession because it is not good for BUSINESS! All the billions of naira in their bank accounts were garnered from doing business with 170 million Nigerians! WHAT WOULD BE THE POPULATION OF A NEW BIAFRA? ONE THOUSAND OR ONE MILLION? Would the Igbos carve out Biafra From Nigeria or Sahara Desert as the ISIS did in Libya/Syrian Deserts?

EMMANUEL IWUANYANWU:
(17) A prominent Igbo, business entrepreneur and politician, Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu has been speaking from both sides of the mouth: in one breath, he says, the Igbos had invested so much in Nigeria and would therefore oppose secession of any group of people - whether they be Arewa or Oduduwa; and in another breath, he says, he was proud to be a Biafran, which claimed an ordinary identification!

(18) We disagree with that postulation! Biafra is synonymous with SECESSION from the nation of Nigeria between 1967-1970 in which over TWO MILLION innocent human beings - including vulnerable women and children died untimely; it is also synonymous to the introduction of CANIBALISM into that part of the nation when elders who survived had to feed on the flesh of their CHILDREN, like in Biblical Israel during a terrible period of FAMINE! (2 Kings. 6:24-29).

BIAFRA IS ANATHEMA!
(19) Biafra rings out a sound of discord, it is an ARCHAIC DOCTRINE that should be abandoned in the archives! Protagonists of a Biafra nation are the naive and disillusioned Igbo youths who did not experience the agonizing pain of war and who need a new orientation that Nigeria would remain ONE INDIVISIBLE NATION FOREVER AND EVER ACCORDING TO THE PURPOSIVE WILL OF GOD.

(20) The following were the last comments of Chief Iwuanyanwu at a recent National Unity Summit, organised by Arewa Ambassadors Congress of Nigeria in partnership with Youth Assembly of Nigeria: "Biafra is not about secession. It is a name of a particular people in Nigeria from the South East. Therefore, it is not an offence to say that I am a Biafran. There was no victor, no vanquished after the civil war. I am impressed with Yakubu Gowon because he IMPLEMENTED ALL THE AGREEMENTS REACHED AT THE END OF THE CIVIL WAR. IGBO WERE NOT DEPRIVED AT THE END OF THE CIVIL WAR." WHAT ABOUT THE NIGERIAN MASSES!

(21) In all of these arguments - for and against - none of the agitators ever bothered to consider the ripple effects that such acrimonious war would add to the plight of the common Nigerians who would suffer the consequences of another civil war in the country while they are yet to recover from the hurts and scars of the dying economic recession! EVERYONE IS MARGINALIZED!

(22) A second republic law maker and elder statesman, Dr Junaid Mohammed, recently accused President Buhari of marginalizing the North in favour of the South West in areas of Key appointments and development projects like roads without constructing one single toad in the North and without meeting the aspirations and basic needs of northerners!

(23) Recommendations of the 2014 National Conference in respect of the South East Geo-Political Zone which states among other things that an additional state should be created for the South East to be at par with others with SIX States should be revisited without delay!

CIVIL DISTURBANCE AGAIN?
(24) Must IPOB/MASSOB and Biafra Independence Movement (BIM), disrupt social/commercial activities of other Nigerians and national security on 30th MAY 2017? A timely warning against any form of planned protests in some States of the Federation by pro-Biafra organisations was issued on Friday, 26th May, 2017 by the Nigeria Police, who promised to deal decisively with defaulters who might breach security and undermine law and order.

(25) Misguided Igbo youths should be reminded that just as they could claim the freedom of expression, peaceful assembly and association under the Constitution, so could other millions of Nigerians whom they planned to deprive of their constitutional rights of free movements and access to public/private facilities on the day in question!

NORTH KOREA'S KIM JOG-UN SHOULD BE HANDLED WITH CARE TO AVOID WORLD WAR III !

THIRTY-THREE-YEAR-OLD Chairman of the Workers Party of Korea (WPK), and Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un of Democratic Peoples' Republic of Korea (DPRK), who assumed office, 13th April, 2012, is in the "eye of the storm" for flexing nuclear muscles against the United States and other nations, including South Korea, which dared to cast aspersion on his country's super power capabilities in the area of modern technological nuclear weaponry.
The young leader had boasted of his country's dexterity in the invention and manufacture of highly sophisticated nuclear war heads, atomic/hydrogen bombs, which can destroy any nation, but had consistently claimed that his NUCLEAR PROGRAMME was specifically designed against US aggression!

Since assumption of office, Kim Jong-un had tested a number of provocative Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (IBMs), that have prompted international condemnation, though he accused the US of using the North Korea's nuclear programme as an excuse to mask its own opposition to banning nuclear weapons. He has also claimed through his envoy at the United Nation's (UN), mission, that, the US drove his country to make and possess nuclear weapons to defend itself against any American aggression. He said that the US was the first country to use nuclear weapons against Japan, during World War II and had continued to use them, "to threaten and blackmail other countries" including North Korea which supports the global effort to eliminate nuclear weapons " until the denuclearisation of the world is implemented."

The US had said that it would not participate in the UN talks aimed at banning nuclear weapons because "bad actors" wouldn't sign or comply with a potential treaty since "North Korea would be the one cheering and the people we represent would be the one at risk." Although there is a global move to totally ban nuclear weapons, the five nuclear powers, -US, Russia, China, Britain and France, have refused to attend the meeting, saying a ban won't work but opted for "a more (unexplained), gradual approach."
DPRK's envoy to the UN has disclosed that his country would not also take part in the talks because of joint military exercises by US and South Korea using Special Forces and "all kinds of nuclear strategic assets", AIMED AT SECRETLY INVADING NORTH KOREA TO ELIMINATE ITS LEADERSHIP!

AUSTRIAN ARCHDUKE'S ASSASINATION CAUSED WORLD WAR 1: At the beginning of the 20th Century, precisely between 1914 and1918, the global conflict fought by most countries of the world and tagged, WORLD WAR 1, was so intense in fierceness, destruction of human lives, properties, and critical infrastructures of enormous dimension that it seemed the world would come to an end!

Historical records state that the assassination of the Austrian Archduke Francis Ferdinand by a Serbian nationalist, Gavrilo Princip, on 28th June 1914, in Sarajevo, capital of Bosnia, part of former Yugoslavia, was the root cause of the war! The assassin shot Ferdinand as an act of protest against the AUSTRIAN OCCUPATION OF SERBIAN-SPEAKING BOSNIA and an expression of the pan-Slavic movement then popular among many in Eastern Europe. Austria-Hungary was a multinational state, (with a dozen official languages), most of the South-Central and Eastern Europe, with half of its population composed of SLAVS, who had nationalist ambitions! Though, fanatical nationalism could always cause rift, dissension, insurgency etc, it would seem ludicrous that such obsession would ever generate A WORLD WAR, BUT IT DID!

The conflict of interests between Russia and Germany in Austria which could have resolved the unfortunate development resulted in an unsuccessful and tortuous diplomacy since the Nazis preferred that Austria should punish Serbia for the assassination crime but Russia was opposed to the idea, and eventually when Austria declared war on Serbia, Germany belatedly tried to prevent the war from escalating but to no avail! And having taken side, Germany had no other choice than to declare war on Russia and later on France on 3rd August, 1914, and also invaded Luxembourg and Belgium, hoping to win a swift victory in the West and so be able to turn its attention on the more powerful Russian foe but failed in its calculation because Britain entered the war in support of France and Belgium since Germany was a potential economic and naval threat to her far-flung empire abroad.
Thus the stage was set for World War 1 which witnessed the introduction of new weapons - such as the submarine, the airplane and the tank - mobilized the entire manpower/economic resources of all combatant nations, devoured an estimated 10 million military men and an equal number of civilian causalities, cost more than $337 billion US dollars to execute in FOUR YEARS (1914-1918)!
Reasons for the aggressive nature of World War 1 could be traced to the previous French revolutionary and Napoleonic wars in early 19th Century, which took Europe by surprise. When Napoleon invaded Russia in 1812, he led an army of some 600.000 men! Napoleon1, Emperor of the French (1769-1821), was a military genius, brilliant organiser and deft administrator who dominated Europe for nearly 20 years, was one of the greatest conquerors in world history. With the exception of BRITAIN, his empire covered most of Western and Central Europe and extended from North Sea to Sicily and all neighbouring states were either under his control or in alliance with France.

World War II was even more disastrous: some 17million soldiers and 43 million civilians were killed at an estimated cost of $ 1.348 billion US dollars to execute sequel to the technological development of weaponry and the strategy of mass bombing of civilian populations which created destruction on an unprecedented scale! DRESDEN, HAMBURG, HIROSHIMA, NAGASAKI and many other cities were utterly destroyed! The introduction of NUCLEAR WEAPONS in World War II had thus signified a global threat of world-wide destruction!

NUCLEAR WEAPONS! The research for nuclear energy which relates to weapons or the use of weapons; which use the power produced when the nucleus of an atom is divided or joined to another nucleus has further spurred the unending confrontations between the Western and Eastern blocs since the end of World War II into greater stockpiling of destructive weapons of modern warfare of nuclear arsenal. The so-called super powers, which is headed by the United States, and Russia (head of former Soviet Union), are leading in the nuclear industry. Others members of the nuclear team, Britain, France, China and North Korea and are also capable of waging nuclear wars but would be checkmated through the concept of deterrence!

CONCEPT OF DETERRENCE - is an agreement which would disabuse the mind of any powerful nation from nuclear attack against another due to the advantage of hindsight that, such nation had equal or even more devastating capacity of nuclear weapons to strike back!
At the end of World War 1, the LEAGUE OF NATIONS which was instituted to broker peace among warring countries turned out to be weak and ineffective though it made an attempt to reach agreement on arms disarmament between 1921 and 1934, because it was neither supported by US nor Germany and while the delay lingered, World War II broke out in 1939 and ushered in the NUCLEAR AGE!

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), the Western Bloc's defence organization against any threat from the Eastern Bloc/German aggression in Europe or the North Atlantic area, debuted in the late 1940s, following the end of World War II and has functioned effectively to date with a modern headquarters recently commissioned in Brussels, Belgium, and with President Donald Trump who complained of NATO'S huge financial burden incurred by the US and admonished other members to pay up their dues.

NO MORE ASSASINATIONS PLEASE!
NORTH KOREA'S SUPREME LEADER MUST NOT BE ASSASINATED UNDER ANY GUISE BY THE US OR SOUTH KOREA AUTHORITIES IN ORDER TO AVOID WORLD WAR III! THE 21ST CENTURY WORLD POWERS MUST put their Trust (faith and believe), and take refuge in the Lord and His Anointed, instead of NUCLEAR ARSENAL which is capable of destroying a World which they did not create!
There was a First World War and a Second World War, that were fought by men to confirm the Word of the Lord Jesus Christ that before His Second Advent to JUDGE THE WORLD: " And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom and there shall be famines and pestilences, and earthquakes, in diverse places. All these are the beginning of sorrows." (Matthew. 24:6-.

THE IMAGINED TIME BOMB IN NIGERIA!
Fanatical nationalism and Religious fanaticism are common place in Nigeria, going by the number of regular agitations and organised street protests, but it should not be allowed to degenerate into WARS AND CONFLICTS which could destroy the UNITY OF A DIVERSE NATION which had been nurtured for over a century and " bring the world to an end?"
