*Our frontline turns our weakling. Coaches can work on it as the tournament progresses.
*Omerou deserves a starting x
*Onyedika can stabilize our defensive midfield better that other options.
*Chukwueze should be benched pls.
*Aribo can play but not with thw iconic jersey #10.
*Nwabali has been tested. Still has a long way but gives confidence and hope.
*We are struggling because this formation is being experimented on the course of the tournament but we will surely get better with it.

Good evening house!
I don't know if anyone saw the reaction of A.Musa with one of JPes assistant during the game after Simon Moses was substituted into the game.
What could be the issue?

I saw that scenario, Musa was visibly angry with the inteodution of Simon. We have seen the best of Musa and so he should allow the coaches to do their job.

Meanwhile, I have the feeling that one of Jpes assistants is the unseen hand behind the recent change of formation, selection of personels and the subtitutions.
The tactical approach of today's game is simply top notch. Playing Bassey in the midfield/defence could be our greatest revelation of this tournament.

Kudos to the coaching crew.

This Ajayi guy, does he have epilepsy Abi Na leprosy?

He's shaking. I hope he doesn't make a costly mistake that will further kill his confidence.
I think we need Bassey or Omeruo because Ekong is not helping Ajayi's confidence at all.

Victor Boniface is our best bet for SS/ AM in SE. Watch how he's instrumental to all the goals they scored today. He will do much more when he has Osimhen as a point man, drifting defenders to himself and creating space for Boniface to score.

I don't know Paseiro and Aribo who is more confused, is Aribo supporting Tella on the right wing or playing in the midfield. We dont even have one player in the middle of the pack, just sending long balls from defence to the attack.

I was impressed with Waldrum's Falcon performance at the world cup.
It wont be a bad idea to make him an assistant to a Nigerian coach (preferably Amunike).

No I will suggest d team shld write ✍️ nff with strong worded letter addressed to the nff and it’s body stating the obvious problems and it’s solution and Dey must ensure it gets to the nff body and shld be implemented wout delay.if possible it shld be publish on our daily’s twitter and all social media handles.enough is enuf

I support this idea.
This thread can form a force that can effect a positive change in our football.
We must not stand aside and watch everything about Nigeria colapse.
We can use the power of social media to our advantage and that might be the beginning of a new era in Nigeria.
The committee must write to the NFF immediately and extend the same letter to the ministry of sports. In proffering a solution, we should suggest 5 competent coaches from Nigeria and abroad.

This is our only country, this is the only thing that unites us. This is our major source of joy and pride as a Nation.
We must get involved!
Jpes must go NOW!

Jpes like for like subtitution is pure evidence he has no knowledge what the problem of the team is.
You played 4 strikers and non of them scored a goal and you are still making a like for like subtitution? He is simply not an intelligent person.
Now that Iwobi is obviously tired, who will be replacing him?
What exactly did he bring in Aribo to do?
Jpes out! Jpes out!! Jpes OUT!!!

Is anyone watching how thin Midfield is affecting our game?

Iwobi is over-working himself and the forward are not getting the passes from Midfield.

Playing 4 strikers is not what gets you many goals. See the confusion between Awoniyi and Boniface. You don't win African football with this kind of midfield. We are vulnerable with this formation. Jpeseiro should be sacked after this match win or loose

We don't do emotions here. Do you want him to start because he is good or because he was bred in Nigeria?

I am not being emotional or sentimental.
But if National team selection is based on club form, I think Ogbu should be ahead of many others.
If we are talking of AFCON, a tournament of African opponents, we must not make mistake of parading a defence line of over 80% foreign bred.
That is the difference in Keshi's AFCON success and Eguavoen's failure.

BTW, I'm not entirely new to this forum, but I really can't stand some personal attacks meted out from non football related sentiments.
So once again I appreciate all the elders of this forum, who has maintained the objective of this wonderful forum through the years, despite all the personal attacks and distractions.
Kudos to you all.

If his better than bassey, he won’t be at that club

I am watching him right now against Lukaku (Roma). I don't like comparing players or rating players based on the club they're playing for, but I think Ogbu should be a starter in SE.
Don't forget that Bassey and some of our players were born in Europe, but these guys made it from Africa against many odds.

Nice post.
I think this lineup will will work wonders: (From midfield) 4.3.3

Onyeka - onyedika

Ndidi

Iwobi - Osimhen - Boniface

Boniface should be what Lautaro Martinez is to Inter milan, dropping to the midfield when we are defending and bursting into the box when attacking. With 2 or 3 defenders paying attention to Osimhen, he will be taking advantage of all the spaces created by Osimhen's movement.
And if he can study the movement of a player like Martinez very well, I can bet that he will be scoring more goals than Osimhen in SE.

I watched Boniface from the blast of the whistle till the last minute,
I think he can be the playmaker/ support striker we are looking for.
Iwobi can be drafted to the wing since Chukwueze is under performing.
Osimhen will always perform better as a lone striker.
I think our first team and bench for Afcon should be 90% ready by now.
It's my first comment. I appreciate you all for the good work here.
