Food / Re: How Do You Think Is The Best Way To Drink Garri? by Zenakoboko(m): 2:38pm On Jan 06, 2012
hmmmmmmmmmm!
No one seems to have had it with a pinch of cocoa beverage (ovaltine, milo, bournvita or the likes).
I cultivated my driking/soaking habit back in my FGC days (old habits die hard jare).
I usually do the milk, sugar, groundnut combo buh, I get a pinch of choco flavour from adding either of the above mentioned.
Alwayz saved some garri (for drinking abi na soaking) from visiting comrades, friends and family even when I was outside these shores.

Badluck Jonathan! Subsidy or no subsidy, you cant take my monthly soaking tradition away. grin grin grin grin

Politics / Re: Stop Moaning... Petrol Is 326.21 Naira a litre in the UK! by Zenakoboko(m): 1:28pm On Jan 03, 2012
@ OP, you have to compare apple with apple not paw-paw, Nigeria is a 3rd world (maybe 4th or 5th sef!) west African country with an irresponsible government. Refineries are not working @ full capacity, 'Thus thieves' run the importation chain that has descended on our commonwealth (now termed petrol subsidy).

Btw, kindly answer the following questions truthfully:
Where do you stay in UK?

1. Do you drill boreholes in your private premises there?
2. Do you have a standby generator there?
3. How many times have you experienced a power outage there?
4. If yes to question 1, do you also need to run a generator to get water outta this private borehole too?

In Nigeria, we "live" the fuel (petrol or diesel), cos we need it to move (for our cars), to get water (from our boreholes), to see (electrical lighting) and of course to operate while sitting in-front of this computer (in our generators).
My dear, some of us have been out there too. This government lacks direction and is very insensitive. If they are in tune with the heartbeat of the people, they would face creating jobs, the BOKO HARAM menace and also think of ways to increase our local refining capacity.
Politics / Re: Free Education For Madalla Bomb Victims by Zenakoboko(m): 10:00am On Dec 28, 2011
Shame on our FEC and federal govt! sad

Is this the only solution or the palliative measure they FEC think tank has deemed fit to cool flaying tempers?
Are they trying to give us incentive to let ourselves or our parents be bombed to death by these bastards or morons or retards called Boko Haram? What happens to those whose parents are incapacitated by the attacks (but are still alive)? Who even ensures that this publicity move abi na promise is carried out beyond GEJ's single term in office?

Abeg, Niaja FG should quit playing with the masses and our collective intelligence.

Calabar chics dey try behind closed doors. My guys and I @ the University of 'mahadum' are still trying to analyze the strain of protein in dog meat responsible for excessive release of the responsible hormone(s). Apologies to those wey no dey chop am buh una ancestors own still dey flow into the DNA.

Who knows, we can commercialize it (pls not for the unmarried tongue) to would help marriages and rekindle the flame where the passion's almost dead wink.

Anyway, this carnival is a whole lot berra than the procession I saw while in traffic in pH, (our people make una no vex O! I love pH buh I gatta speak da truth and nurrin buh da truth. We can do berra). undecided

Compliments of the season to all you good people of Nairaland! smiley

Family / Re: Widow Jumps From A Burning Storey Building In Oke-afa by Zenakoboko(m): 8:59am On Dec 28, 2011
No one is asking, how high was this jump? What degree of injury could she have sustained from this jump?
I hope she is fine and stays hale and hearty, for her sake and maybe her children's.

@Dadicvila
I no be bad belle O! Was just pissed about being held up for hours plus my fuel (remember say dem go soon remove subsidy undecided)
Lol "@ yeye fone". My fone no be yeye O! Actually I would like you to ask around ya and find out the 2011 Nokia fone with 12megapixel resolution. GBAM!  wink.
I was inside my ride, the fact that they were in motion, the harmattan haze and the armana chilling effect too  wink could have been it.
They just should have specified the carnival routes in advance by announcing over and over on radio or tv but they didnt. Publicity about the whole thing was low. Imagine what good publicity could have done if you were to plan a trip into the garden city (naija's petroleum hub) as a 1st time visitor on that particular day.

By the way, like the carnival peps, maybe I still dey learn work as per photo-journalism  grin
