How is it our business if Tonto actually spew that venom on her MIL? yeye dey smell.

The Nigerian army got an Intel that IPOB youths were gathered in the field to strategize on how to destabilize the country. The army quickly went there and shot at them to disperse them. Something every sane Nigerian should commend

Little kid, you've said enough. Now, be a good boy and return daddy's phone to him.. I won't blame you for all you have said knowing your reasoning is below a teenager's. Phones are not toys like plastic water guns, okay? When you grow up you will understand. NOW, run along little one. (pats his back gently)

Religion / Re: What Do You Think Is The Greatest Problem Of The Church Today ? by Zither(m): 9:20pm On Jun 15, 2017
The greatest problems of the Church today are : there are not many like the heroes of faith in the Bible, more miracle seekers than Jesus seekers, game of thrones among the church leaders, denominations rather than unity. The Church has a long way to go before it becomes what it should be but that depends on each single individual member of the Church.

You Yoruba peeps are blatant hypocrites except for a few good ones among you. I have always preached peace between the tribes whenever any issue like this comes up but I choose to do it when my Igbo brothers are having a field day when the suspect's name is a Yoruba one. However, when your brothers begin insulting my brothers you never tell them to stop that crime is not limited to a particular tribe. You let them insult to their fill. Now, a Yoruba man is the suspect and it is only now you know to preach that crime is not particular to a tribe. Rubbish.

As for me no one will ever hear me call any tribe by any derogatory name but you won't expect me to keep mum when the odour of hypocrisy is choking. To the Yoruba and Igbo guys n girls out there who have refused to join this senseless trend of name checking you have my deep respect for being the only reason nairaland has not turned to a strictly mental institution.

The same way I should take you seriously after you say the Big bang resulted in the universe then you say the Flying Spaghetti Monster created the universe? Is that not double standard?

Besides, what's wrong with having an association of like thinkers? It's cool, don't you think?

Lol. See how atheists skillfully evaded the question: did the universe create itself?

Besides, nairaland atheists are a different specie of atheists. They will argue and deny even if Jesus Christ appears to them. Their case worse pass Thomas case. Even their fellow atheists from other parts of the world will deny the existence of nairaland specie of atheists. They will say it is impossible.

Where's Angel Micheal and uriel? Are they not supposed to provide security with flaming sword?

Why are you folks of little faith?

Yes, of course. We Christians don't need boats or ships because we can walk on water like Jesus did, we don't need to ferment wine when we can turn water to wine, we can call down fire from heaven on anyone who pisses us or interrupts our favourite sports programme, we don't die because after three days we rise again, we don't need medicine when down with sickness because Christ has healed us so begone with your tablets and prescriptions; my faith is all I need. Who needs to save money in a bank when we have treasures stored up in heaven for us. Spits. No bank on earth will have my penny. And yes, you're right. We Christians don't need all these modern technological advancement in the church. They are all useless. The Apostles of old did not use POS or microphones or cars or the internet or planes or bikes so the church today don't need them. We should do everything manually. Technology and science are useless to preachers and the church - oh ye of little faith. Thank you for reading.

Lest I be accused of plagiarism I would like to appreciate Akiintom and durentchigozie for these words of wisdom that will echo through time and timelessness. I hope Christians see the futility of taking advantage of technological and scientific advancement in religious setting through their infantile, sorry, inspiring argument. Claps for them

Well, I know this much, The waters that destroyed parts of the world in the days of Noah was an unavoidable natural disaster caused by the magnetic pull of planet Nibiru as it approaches Earth's orbit, dislodging the south pole's ice cap, unlike the avoidable nuclear blast that destroyed Sodom, Sinai, Gomorrah, Sumer, and the surrounding cities and created the dead sea and the desert in those regions.

Read the story of Lot with a modern knowledge of nuclear warfare, and you will understand what the ancient meant by "fire and brimstone"

Religion / Re: Why Cant The gods Or Supreme Being Of This Earth Stop Boko Haram??? by Zither(m): 4:50pm On Jun 13, 2017
God would not be a just God if He does not allow evil expression. He permits evil because in judging evil His judgments would be clearly seen as righteous. How could God judge a person if He keeps that person from doing good or bad? Does it make sense?

There is another reason for God permitting evil. It is only when you have been in darkness that you will appreciate the light when you see it. Evil is meant to make people seek the light of the knowledge of Christ because you know that Jesus is the only tower of refuge, the only Ark of safety from the evil in this world.

Religion / Re: I Think Christianity Is The Only True Religion by Zither(m): 12:03pm On Jun 13, 2017
Hopefullandlord, you claim that the God of Abraham, in other words, is known for going into random killing spree like Muhammed in the Quoran so that there's nothing that separates both religions.

Long before Moses came into existence the people of Israel had been unjustly made slaves to the Egyptians. They were tortured, they were forced to toil for the king, their men, women and children suffered greatly in their hands because a new and ungrateful king who did not know and appreciate what Joseph did to save Egypt made it so. When Moses was born the current Pharaoh had noticed that the population of the Israelites was increasing geometrically so he ordered the midwives to kill any baby that was a male and spare the female babies. The midwives feared God and did nothing of such so Pharaoh gave the order to throw any male child into the river and spare the female child. This wicked acts of Pharaoh made God's punishment inevitable. It was only a matter of time. Moses was the whip God used to inflict pain and destruction on Pharaoh and his people.

Yes, God hardened Pharaoh's heart because He wanted to punish him for his evil ways as well as show His supremacy to the world over man.

Besides, God is no respecter of persons. He has no favorites. When the Israelites sinned He punished them. When Moses in his anger performed a miracle by making water come out of a rock without giving God the glory God told him he would never enter the promised land.

How does this correlate with the killings carried out by Muhammad? He raped women and killed at will. He terrorized neighbouring cities to satisfy his bloodthirsty nature and as infidels they deserved death. If truly there's no difference between them then why are Christians not waging war against non-christian nations?

As regards the Midianites here is a quote:

Abraham had more sons than just Isaac (by Sarah) and Ishmael (by Hagar). He also had six sons by Keturah, his wife after the death of Sarah: Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah (Genesis 25:2). The Midianites were the descendants of Midian and therefore children of Abraham. They settled in “the land of the east” (Genesis 25:6). Most scholars believe the land of Midian was officially on both sides of the Gulf of Aqaba, although the Midianites showed nomadic tendencies later in their history (see Habakkuk 3:7, ESV).

When Moses fled the wrath of Pharaoh, he traveled to Midian (Exodus 2:15). There, Moses met and married his wife, Zipporah, and served his father-in-law, Jethro, as a shepherd for forty years. The fact that Jethro was “a priest of Midian” (Exodus 2:16) indicates that the Midianites, at least during Moses’ time, still retained the knowledge of the God of their father Abraham (cf. Jethro’s words and actions in Exodus 18). At the end of Moses’ time in Midian, God appeared to Moses—still in Midian—and commissioned him to lead the Israelites out of slavery (Exodus 3—4).

As the children of Israel traveled through the wilderness, they employed the services of a guide familiar with the desert—Moses’ Midianite brother-in-law, Hobab (Numbers 10:29). However, the relations between the Israelites and the Midianites began to sour when the Midianites joined forces with the Moabites in order to hire Balaam to curse Israel (Numbers 22). Later, when Israel fell into idolatry and sexual sin with the Moabite women (Numbers 25), we find that a prominent Midianite woman was also involved (Numbers 25:6). The Lord then told Moses to wage war against the Midianites: “Treat the Midianites as enemies and kill them. They treated you as enemies when they deceived you in the Peor incident involving their sister Kozbi, the daughter of a Midianite leader” (Numbers 25:17–19). The Israelites did eventually attack the Midianites, meting out divine retribution against their enemies (Numbers 31). Five kings of the Midianites were killed, as was Balaam (Numbers 31:cool. This battle was one of the last things Moses accomplished as leader of the Israelites.

During the time of the judges, “the Midianites, Amalekites and other eastern peoples invaded the country” and plundered the land (Judges 6:3). For seven years, “Midian so impoverished the Israelites that they cried out to the Lord for help” (verse 6). God answered their cries and raised up Gideon as a deliverer. With just 300 men, Gideon defeated the armies of the Midianites, although the foe was “thick as locusts. Their camels could no more be counted than the sand on the seashore” (Judges 7:12). Of course, God was involved, and He was the One who granted the victory over the Midianites (verse 22).

Later references to the Midianites include allusions to God’s victory over them (Psalm 83:9; Isaiah 10:26). And, in a prophecy of Israel’s future glory in the Messianic kingdom, Isaiah writes, “Herds of camels will cover your land, / young camels of Midian and Ephah. / And all from Sheba will come, / bearing gold and incense / and proclaiming the praise of the Lord” (Isaiah 60:6).

You asked what crime Jericho committed but you deliberately keep mum over the fact that Rahab and her entire family in the city of Jericho were spared. The walls collapsed but the part of the wall where Rahab's house was located kept standing.

I could still mention hundreds of differences between the God of Abraham and the god of Muhammad but let this suffice to let you know that you know nothing when it comes to religion. Your eagerness to dispute religious claims is the same thing that betrays your ignorance in the matter.

You implied that it is ok to sin when you said that a christian cannot be judged for a sin he or she commits.

Are you trying to lure people here to sin whilst making them to believe that they cannot be judged?

I read the quote and I could not find anywhere she said it is okay to sin.

All she emphasized was our victory over sin through the death of Jesus Christ but she also made it known that it doesn't mean we then live a perfect life without sinning. That's impossible as long as we are still in the corrupt flesh. However, she said that whenever that happens Christ does not condemn us having borne the wages of sin in His flesh and nailed it on the cross. This is why the living has the very great grace of repentance.

In essence we have victory over sin through the shed blood of Jesus Christ that cleanses us from all sins.

Women are serial cheats but they play their away match so codedly that you wouldn't suspect them of foul play. This gives them the license to accuse men of infidelity while parading themselves to be virtuous. With DNA their cheating ways have been exposed. Is it any wonder that many of them are vehemently against the idea of conducting DNA tests on their children?

Op, your uncle is just one among millions and millions of married men erroneously bringing up children that don't belong to them. Trust women at your own peril.
