AbuTwins:1. The key here is God(YHWH included) created man in His image. That is what is written. 2. Well, given that the image was eventually cursed by YHWH in [b]Genesis 3[/b, you and I may never know. What we know is that image existed in both the male and female that He created. But sadly, the image had to be cursed by Him because they failed to live up to His expectations.

Kobojunkie:So what image does YHWH have? Explain? 2. Well, given that the image was eventually cursed by YHWH in [b]Genesis 3[/b, you and I may never know. What we know is that image existed in both the male and female that He created. But sadly, the image had to be cursed by Him because they failed to live up to His expectations.Just simple say you don't know if you don't know! The way this is interpreted in Islam is that Allah has some features that man possess but His features are nothing like humans. Allah has hands and feet but not like man's! There's always a problem interpreting some things literally at times! God created man in His image, okay define God's image with the diverse image of man? |

AbuTwins: 2. So, your goal all along has been to reject the words written of YHWH all to assert different ideas that are instead connected to a different deity, your Muslim Allah!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 |

Kobojunkie: I answer questions based on what is asked! And i am a Muslim. |

AbuTwins:Based on what is asked? Ha! 😆 |

AbuTwins:One thing I have learned to be the case with religious folks, is that they rarely answer questions based on what is asked just as they seldom process information presented as-is. And you are no different I am afraid. It is almost some sort of compulsion with you religious people. The passage in Genesis 2 indicates, in clear speak, that indeed, Elohim was able to create man in His image. But, you can't have it that way, can you? Your religious ideas won't let you accept that because it all has to be twisted in the light of the ideas you already come preprogrammed with, right?

Kobojunkie: So i asked what Image does your own version of God have? We have thousands images of man nowadays! |
Re: God Said He Is Not A Man So When Did He Change? by Kobojunkie: 2:18pm On May 08 |
AbuTwins:LOL....You are informed that man was made in the image of Elohim and Elohim certified the original product as good by His standard. Accept that at least, and then go from there to search for answers to this other question you have. Your OP claims Elohim cannot come in the likelihood of a man, but here is a passage telling you that ain't true at all. Do you accept it or do you not? That is the issue here.

Re: God Said He Is Not A Man So When Did He Change? by AbuTwins: 2:20pm On May 08 |
Kobojunkie: My OP claims God is not a man! God creating man in His image does not equal God becoming man! |
Re: God Said He Is Not A Man So When Did He Change? by Kobojunkie: 2:35pm On May 08 |
AbuTwins:Well, your OP isn't quite accurate at all given that each of the statements referenced points out particular aspects of men that are not found in God. 2. Indeed! Man(Adam) was created as an image of God and not God!
|
Re: God Said He Is Not A Man So When Did He Change? by AbuTwins: 2:59pm On May 08 |
Kobojunkie:Yes, the Title God Said He Is Not A Man So When Did He Change? 2. Indeed! Man(Adam) was created as an image of God and not God!Yeah as Muslims we believe this but subject to interpretation. The Prophet’s words, “Adam was created in His image” means that Allah created Adam in His image, for He has a face, an eye, a hand, and a foot, and Adam had a face, an eye, a hand, and a foot… but that does not mean that these things are exactly the same. There is some similarity, but it is not exactly the same. There is actually no one like Allah or comparable unto Him! |
Re: God Said He Is Not A Man So When Did He Change? by Kobojunkie: 3:04pm On May 08 |
AbuTwins:Well, like I said, your OP is wrong! Elohim is recorded to have created man in His image from the very beginning. Nothing of that fact changed even after Balaam made His very first statement regarding the person of who God is apart from man's lies and ever-changing mind. 2. Well, from this you can see that Elohim has nothing in common with the Muslim Allah!

Re: God Said He Is Not A Man So When Did He Change? by AbuTwins: 3:11pm On May 08 |
Kobojunkie: What exactly is wrong here? God is not a man! Anthropomorphism is false! Numbers 23:19: "God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?" 1 Samuel 15:29: "He who is the Glory of Israel does not lie or change his mind; for he is not a human being, that he should change his mind." Hosea 11:9: "I will not carry out my fierce anger, nor will I devastate Ephraim again. For I am God, and not a human being—the Holy One among you. I will not come against their cities." Isaiah 40:18 To whom will you liken God? To what image will you compare Him? Isaiah 44:6-20 Thus says the LORD, the King and Redeemer of Israel, the LORD of Hosts: “I am the first and I am the last, and there is no God but Me. Who then is like Me? Let him say so! Let him declare his case before Me, since I established an ancient people. Let him foretell the things to come, and what is to take place... Jesus couldn't foretell the hour in Matthew 24:36, Mark 13:32 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Isaiah 55:8-9: "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." Psalm 50:21: "These things you have done, and I have been silent; you thought that I was one like yourself. But now I rebuke you and lay the charge before you." Job 9:32-33: "For he is not a man, as I am, that I might answer him, that we should come to trial together. There is no arbiter between us, who might lay his hand on us both." So God is not man and can never become man! God does not change: Psalm 55:19 - "God will hear and answer them—Even the one who sits enthroned from of old— Selah. With whom there is no change, And who do not fear God." Malachi 3:6 - "For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed." So when did the Lord Change? 2. Well, from this you can see that Elohim has nothing in common with the Muslim Allah! You still failed to explain what the image of your Elohim is with respect to man? At least Islam has an understanding! Even you using Elohim for YHWH is poor! Elohim can also mean lesser beings than God! |

AbuTwins: YAHSHUA answered and said unto them, YE DO ERR, NOT KNOWING THE SCRIPTURES, NOR THE POWER OF GOD. Matthew 22:29 |
Re: God Said He Is Not A Man So When Did He Change? by AbuTwins: 9:38am On May 09 |
itzadorable333: The context of that verse! The Sadducees and the Resurrection Matthew 22: 28 In the resurrection, then, whose wife will she be of the seven? For all of them were married to her.” 29 Jesus answered, “You are mistaken because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God. 30In the resurrection, people will neither marry nor be given in marriage. Instead, they will be like the angels in heaven. How is the above related here? These new age Christians would think we are still dumb! It's 2024 now! |

AbuTwins:'how is the above related here?'... Lol exactly the kind of question that comes from one who experiences incomprehension as a challenge. My condolences. No need to expend words with your ilk... You're better left to darkness, unless you cry for Light. |

itzadorable333: The Sadducees were asking about the resurrection and Jesus replied them! Is this thread about resurrection? Which school did you attend? |
