LPG as we know, has become a widely used alternative fuel, and usually stored in liquid form under pressure in a gas bottle or steel container. However, due to its flammable nature, it is essential to follow proper storage guidelines to ensure safety.

1. Store Lpg Cylinders In A Well-ventilated Area: LPG is a flammable gas, and proper ventilation is necessary to prevent the buildup of gas concentration in the storage area.

2. Keep Lpg Cylinders Away From Ignition Sources: It is crucial to keep the LPG cylinder away from source of Ignition such as direct sunlight, stoves, flammable materials, fire and heaters. High temperatures can cause the gas to expand and increase the pressure inside the cylinder, making it more prone to leakage or explosion.

3. Store LPG Cylinders Upright: It is important to store LPG cylinders upright and secure them to prevent them from falling or tipping over. Place your gas cylinder bottles in a plain level, flat surface always.

4. Keep LPG Cylinders Away From Combustible Materials: LPG cylinders should be kept away from combustible materials such as wood, paper, and cloth. In case of a gas leak, these materials can catch fire and cause a hazardous situation.

5. Use Cylinder Regulators: LPG cylinder regulators must be used to control the flow of gas and prevent excessive pressure buildup. Regulators must be replaced if they are damaged or show signs of wear and tear.

6. Conduct Regular Cylinder Inspections: Regular inspections of LPG cylinders must be carried out to check for leaks, damages, and signs of wear and tear. Any damaged cylinder must be replaced immediately to prevent a hazardous situation.

7. Keep LPG Cylinders Away From Children: LPG cylinders must be kept out of reach of children, as they pose a significant risk of injury or death if misused.
