It's not actually hate, it's senselessness.

Is the value of players in 2024 the same as in 2004?

What is the value of the most expensive EPL player in 2004 and what is the value now?
Ancelotti is from 1992 to 2024 and still active. Talk another thing.

Hmm, but its quite factual that accords until 2007 generally have leg issues though, right?

There is a saying that what u don't know won't hurt you.

The accords that have been so shamed about the k-leg is still a very very reliable car. Those who don't know will tell you never to buy it. But I that know it, I am sticking to it. I have used both Honda and Toyota, I still prefer the Honda in most cases. Maybe because I know I am good at diagnosing and maintenance to my own level.

What I end up as experience is that most people who say no to Honda end up spending more money in buying and maintaining the Toyota they feel is unbreakable. Mechanics will advise you, go for Toyota, it is easy to repair. They do so cause the problems of Toyota are always specific and uncomplicated but the cost of such repairs is a record high that Mechanics get to buy you such expensive parts more often. Toyota is built to be reliable and efficient, Honda is built to perform and satisfy the user better at it's price point while still bringing reliability and efficient in the mix. You end up with a car that checks all boxes.

Education / Re: ASUU Threatens Strike Over Poor Remuneration by MasterTeeUSA: 3:21pm
UI Academic Staff went on strike in 2001. I was home for 9 months. It was at the same time that I got my visa as well. The same week UI resumed was the same week I traveled out to start my schooling abroad. I can relate with you. I did not meet the first cut off and stayed home to study...only to get admitted as number 2 for my department. Number 1 was 1 point above in JAMB score. Then Strike came..without the strike, I would have started my course and forgotten about traveling out. All things work together for good to them that love God - Romans 8:38. I was OK with staying or leaving either way...All I always say, God, let your will be done.

ASUU always going on strike. I spent two years at home during Obasanjo Era due to ASUU strike. My 4 year course turned to 6 years.

Interestingly, it was a blessing in disguise. When I applied for Canadian PR not long after graduation, there was no WES back then. The Canadian immigration officials just counted my 4 years course as 6 years, and I was given lots of points for education that pushed me over the immigration cut-off mark of 67.

Do you even know what rhyme means?

Look down at the three stanzas of the anthem, the second, fourth and sixth lines rhyme in all three stanzas. Now what do you understand by rhyme? Or do you just feel like disgracing yourself this afternoon?

Nigeria we hail thee,
Our own dear native land,
Though tribe and tongue may differ,
In brotherhood we stand,
Nigerians all, and proud to serve
Our sovereign Motherland.

Our flag shall be a symbol
That truth and justice reign,
In peace or battle honour’d,
And this we count as gain,
To hand on to our children
A banner without stain.

O God of all creation,
Grant this our one request,
Help us to build a nation
Where no man is oppressed,
And so with peace and plenty
Nigeria may be blessed.

Comments like this are how you know the problems of Nigeria. The lazy youths who have never experienced the joy of planting something and watching it grow and later eating it fresh from the farm/ garden! Always eager to leap to insults to cover up for their laziness and inadequacy.

Plant what you can first and break this ridiculous dependence on rice that we have now cultivated. When we were young, rice was Sunday food and one other day of the week, now people eat rice everyday, a food that doesn't grow well here and dumped farming altogether and expects their economy to thrive.

Where is your own farm...talking rubbish, they will also plant yam, beans, potatoes, corn and cassava.....even in those days nobody planted more than two food items, make Una dey use Una sense at times abeg

Religion / Reports Claim That Pope Francis Used Derogatory Term For LGBT Community by naptu2: 3:20pm
Pope Francis used derogatory term for LGBT community, reports claim.

The Pope reportedly used a derogatory term towards the LGBT community in a private meeting with bishops - where he is said to have reiterated gay people should not be allowed to become priests.

Tuesday 28 May 2024

The Pope used a highly offensive word towards the LGBT community as he reaffirmed his stance that gay people should not be priests, Italian media has reported.

Pope Francis is believed to have made the remark in a closed-door meeting with bishops, according to the country's largest daily newspapers La Repubblica and Corriere della Sera.

Both quoted the Pope as using the vulgar Italian term "frociaggine" when describing priesthood colleges as already too full of homosexuality.

The Vatican has not commented on the reports.

The incident is said to have happened on 20 May, as first reported by political gossip website Dagospia, when the Italian Bishops Conference held a private meeting with the Pope.

La Repubblica based its story on several unspecified sources, while Corriere cited unnamed bishops, who suggested the Pope, an Argentine, might have not realised the Italian term is offensive.

The Pope, who is 87, has been credited with leading the Roman Catholic Church into taking a more welcoming approach towards the LGBT community.

At the start of his papacy in 2013, he said: "If a person is gay and seeks God and has good will, who am I to judge?"

Last year, he allowed priests to bless same-sex couples, triggering significant conservative backlash.

But in 2018, he told Italian bishops to carefully vet priesthood applicants and reject any suspected homosexuals.

In a 2005 document, during Benedict XVI's papacy, the Vatican said the church could admit into the priesthood those who had overcome homosexual tendencies for at least three years.

The document said those with "deep-seated" gay tendencies and those who "support the so-called gay culture" should be barred.

Auxtan:
This is not my first time hearing something like this.

Just this year, one of the ladies we share the same shop block with lost her only surviving parent, the mum.

She was the only daughter of 2 children of her parents. When her mum died she had absolutely nothing left as she had spent her last pennies in treating the mum of a very cost consuming ailment of which she unfortunately didn't survive.

Before the mum died, it became very obvious her and to many of us that she was ultimately going to die and because of this she was always in sorrow, always crying even before the mum gave up the ghost.

She said one of the last words her mum told her was that she shouldn't worry, that she was going to send a helper her way to take care of her burial.

......

I'm still skeptical about this!!!
