Hello everyone!!!

I want to alert the general public that there are counterfeit 1000 naira notes in circulation, I got hold of one today, studied it with an original and here are my findings......

1. There is no CBN thread on the counterfeit..... which you see when held against light. What you see is a broken line that has CBN on it.

2. The image seen when the fake is held against light is blurred, dull and is displaced to one side.

3. No watermark seen under ultraviolet light....

Please be vigilant!!!

Also, the original note usually has a bar where 1000 naira is written at the back, but is absent on the counterfeit

Then the shiny parts don't change colour when tilted at different angles,

babe shun o...upon I handle cash regularly. sometimes e dey confuse me - they have stepped up in the fake note.
My husband had to bring back (mutilated) fake notes to explain to me properly.

I even told him that if I happen to accept a fake note, I would bring it home for him to change @work...hahaha. he said I must be sick
...bc I am fond of collecting dead notes, you know how Aba is na. Instead of arguing with the mkt person - I just collect it.
When it reaches like 1k, I put it in his bag and take mint
