Apple just finished its “Time Flies” event. Vysend is ready to tell you all you need to know about this event. While the wait for the release of new iPhones continues, the company unveiled new Apple Watches and iPads, we followed the whole event online, and we can confirm that there was no ceremonious event to complement the arrival of the new products.

Remarkably, Apple launched a few iPads, a few new Watch models with updates to its services listing. Another major announcement was the iOS 14 now set to be released on September 16.

Are you interested in checking out Apple's new devices for yourself? Here is a summary of the announcement at Apple September 2020 event.

Apple Watch Series 6
Perhaps, the highlight of the show was the Apple Watch Series 6. However, it offers a similar design to the previous-generation of Apple Watch models, with a few new colours including a navy blue that is rumoured to match the colour of the upcoming iPhone 12, and a red model.
The Apple Watch Series 6 added a sensor to trail blood oxygen saturation that works accurately for information about heart rate and breathing. Which is an improvement on the already-astronomical fitness tracking features available on the Apple Watch.

Its new chip is said to be 20% faster when compared to Series 5’s chip, and of course, the Series 5 chip is already fast enough for everything an Apple Watch can be used for. The processor is fast enough to handle an always-on altimeter, for tracking altitude, and for the new blood oxygen monitor.

Other improved features include an always-on display that is 2.5 times brighter, with a series of new watch faces. Also, the device supports the new “Family Setup” process that allows users to set up a device for family members without the family member needing an iPhone.
The Apple Watch Series 6 is available only for pre-order, starting from September 18.

Apple Watch SE
As expected, Apple also announced the budget-priced Apple Watch SE. With the same overall design of the Apple Watch Series 6, also supporting features like Fall Detection and Family Setup, and has the already-powerful S5 processor. Apple Watch SE will be available starting from September 18.

iPad Air
Next up is the iPad Air, the first iPad since the iPad Pro to have an edge-to-edge display. The device also features a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display, with moderately small bezels around its edges. The device still has a Touch ID that is now located inside the power button, rather than in the now-gone Home button.

The Air is more powerful than the previous mo. The device offers the Apple A14 Bionic processor, which is the chip that is likely to be featured in the iPhone 12, and the first Apple chip to use a 5nm process. The new device has a USB-C connector, which ensures that it works with more third-party accessories. The iPad Air will be available in October in a range of colours, including the sky blue colours and new green.

iPad
The entry-level iPad has gotten a spec-bump. The new device offers the same overall design but gets the Apple A12 Bionic chip for improved performance. According to Apple, the new entry-level iPad offers a 40% GPU boost over the last-generation model. Not only that, but the A12 Bionic brings Apple's Neural Engine to the entry-level iPad for the first time, enabling more artificial intelligence features. The new iPad supports a Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil, however, unfortunately, it only supports the first-generation Apple Pencil. Like previous-generation models. The device is available for pre-order today, with full sales beginning on Friday.

Apple One
Apple is now making it stress-free to access all its services. The long-awaited Apple One subscription service allows you to bundle Apple’s services into monthly payment while saving a little cash. Apple One includes Apple Music, iCloud, Apple Fitness+, Apple Arcade and Apple News+.
The new plan starts at $15 per month for the individual plan, which includes Apple TV+, Apple Music, Apple Arcade, and 50GB of iCloud. The family plan comes at $20 per month and includes 200GB of iCloud storage and the ability to share with up to six family members. And, the Premier plan adds Apple News+ and Apple Fitness+, with 2TB of iCloud storage and comes at $30 per month.

Apple Fitness+
It was rumoured that Apple was working on a fitness service, the company unveiled the service at the event also. This new service is called Apple Fitness+. It integrates with the Apple Watch workout app to offer guides for workouts, while still showing necessary information like the heart rate, time, and amongst others. Apple Fitness+ is available for the iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV.
The service will be available before the end of the year, it comes at $10 per month and $80 per year, If you buy a new Apple Watch, you will get three months of Fitness+ for free, and it is available in the Premier subscription of the new Apple One bundle.

Software updates
Finally, Apple announced the readiness of its latest software for to phones, tablets, watches and everything else starting today. This new updates will include the likes of iOS 14, iPadOS 14, watchOS 7, and tvOS 7. The company has not confirmed the launch date of its macOS Big Sur, which is presumed to be released alongside new Mac models later in the year.
