Court Stops Telecom From Deactivating Sims Not Linked To NIN by Whalis: 8:00pm On Feb 28
The Federal High Court in Lagos has issued an injunction banning Nigerian telecom carriers from deactivating or terminating any phone line or SIM card that is not linked to the user’s National Identification Number (NIN).

Justice Ambrose Lewis-Allagoa has ordered telecom operators to refrain from taking action against consumers who have not linked their phone lines or SIM cards to the National Identification Number (NIN), in response to an application filed by Lagos-based lawyer Olukoya Ogungbeje.

If the government was really serious about insecurity, we would have seen it evidently, with or without Sim linking.

Do you think most of the kidnappers call with their own phone numbers these days, they use the victims phones, sometimes randomly, the Sim link is a good idea but is not the main reason why the government has not tackled insecurity....

Arrested you said?? So in a country if a judge deliver judgement against some faction of the government, the rightful action is to arrest the said judge?? The world has gone beyond this primitive ways let the government or any interested group go and appeal the judgement or Wait for the determination of pre Originating summon
