He's not the main man.
Wirtz is the crown jewel of that team and the full backs are very important too. Not forgetting Xhaka too.

Hate to ruin the party but this isn't the official Bundesliga Team of the Season. The EASports Team of the year thingy is a fan vote. While Boniface had a blistering start to the season before he got injured, i don't think he's deserving of a place on the TOTS. The number of games he's missed and his lack of solid minutes since returning makes his inclusion somewhat controversial. But then again, the whole thing is more or less a popularity contest.

If we are being factual, that final spot should go to Deniz Undav(Stuttgart). The guy was out of sorts at Brighton but he has taken to German football with ease. Double figures in goals and assists. His chemistry and partnership with Guirassy has also been a key reason behind Stuttgart's amazing season. Definitely a sure bet for the Euros.

Lois Openda of Leipzig has also had a fantastic first season in Germany even though he can be frustrating to watch at times. He is one to keep an eye on.
