I used to attend canaanland but recently we went alot in the country. When the Lord Jesus Christ was here on earth and he was preaching in the wilderness, the bible says he had compassion on the multitudes because they have not eaten for days. But what are our churches giving back to their members that pay there tithe and offering with there hard earned money, nothing. No compassion. No pity. So because of this sole reason, I stop attending canaanland. Since then I have been trying to get another church to attend, but most don't preach the word to the level that I am. So I just sit at home and read my Bible and pray every Sundays

Sadly the compassion shown by Christ and His disciples for their followers is one major quality lacking among today's church leaders.

Imagine when a church leader would be priding in the abundance of his earthly riches while some of the members of his own church wallow in poverty.

I don't think any of the early apostles ever did such a thing not to talk of Christ Himself.

May God help us with the kind of leaders the early church had.

Brother,I have experienced what you experienced.
Many churches have today lost the fire and become arenas of materialistic teachings, selfishness and sexual immorality.
Your method is actually the best, because you would be able to grow your Personal Relationship with God, much better.

Guy, it's wrong mocking people's religion when you don't believe what they believe.
Nobody expect palliative from the church even in the first century when the Apostles were here there was nothing as such the only thing some Christians did was to organize themselves and started contributing money after selling their landed properties then they agreed to share the proceedings equally.
So they came to the Apostles to bless what they were doing even though it wasn't the idea of the Apostles.
But going to the church and expectating palliatives is umbilical.
Tithes were meant for the workers in the church so if you've paid you don't expect taking it back you can only ask your fellow believers to assist you in person but thinking there should be palliatives from the tithes received.

Did you actually think paying tithes and offerings would reduce the level of suffering you as an individual is going through?
Better go back to church and pay that pastor all the tithes and offerings you've missed, unless you don't want to enter heaven because you'd be robbing God.

They prefer to worship and asslick their pastors and GOs, swallowing every rubbish they teach on the pulpit, without making use of the brain.
Many churches today are bringing multitudes to Hell.
The demons don't need to work hard again for the souls to bring to eternal damnation, because most Nigerian pastors are doing the job excellently.
Churches are now an entertainment concert ground, for worldly artists whose lives make them enemies of God.
The Undiluted Word of God is no longer taught in most churches.Pastors cherry pick portions of the Bible and subtly twist and distort them to serve their selfish interests.
Most Nigerian pastors are even praying for colleagues of their church members to fall into poverty and hardship, instead of doing what they are Called to do.
They preach the gospel and act differently.
They claim God protects and watches over them,yet move about with tight security details.
They acquire schools, poor church members can't afford and hospitals, poor church members can't afford their services.
Many of them are more lustful and carnal than the average fornicator visiting a brothel, indulging in incest, paedophilia,rape of church members, homosexuality and everything you can think of.
The worst of them all are those who are agents of Satan, using the church as a cover.

Early Christians only focused on spiritual blessings and holiness...simple.

The evidence that show that a church is for God in our days is when the Pastor is wealthy and when the church is very magnificent....it's no longer about the move of the spirit and spiritual fruit...or spiritual gift..
Christianity is a scam in Nigeria..too shallow for any genuine Christian
People go to church to be blessed for material pursuit.....it's too shallow.. something that Satan can give....that the worldly people have without stress...

Only very few churches truly represent Christ teaching and doctrine..the big churches in Nigeria are the worst.. sorry to say..
