John Wayne Gacy, also known as the 'Killer Clown,' was an infamous American serial killer and sex offender who was active during the 1970s. His life and crimes have become a chilling part of American history, and his story is one that continues to captivate and horrify people to this day.

Born on March 17, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, Gacy was the second of three children. His father, John Wayne Gacy Sr., was a World War II veteran and a strict disciplinarian who often physically abused his children. Gacy's mother, Marion Elaine Robinson, was a devout Catholic who struggled with mental health issues. As a child, Gacy was often bullied by his peers and suffered from a heart condition that required multiple surgeries.
