Peter Obi and his brothers have not hide their opposition to Calabar-Lagos coastal highway project. This is despite unquantifiable benefits this singular project hold for people of South South it will open up many cities and improve economy activities along the coastal line.
This kind of gigantic project cannot be completed in 4years so people of South south will need to determine how important this project is to them by their votes in 2027.

Vote tinubu my oga in 2027 so the road construction won't be halted in a new regime or don't vote tinubu in 2027 and see the road construction terminated at ÊpÊ cool

And you forgot to add, all the money siphoned by Asiwaju through the back door, without BPE approval recovered from HITECH Ltd!

Make una dey play, na northern Turks go finish the job for us! Una don too hold Nigeria backwards for long. Starting from 2027, seaports in other parts of the country would start to work..... especially Port Harcourt, Warri, Calabar, Sapele and new ones built in Koko, Azumini, Onitsha, Akwa Ibom, etc

A functional deep sea port in Niger delta will render the costal highway redundant, Peter obi doesn't need to stop it

Presently, bulk of the import of goods happen via the Lagos ports . This has turned Lagos into a huge transportation hub with trailers moving containers from Lagos to the market in kano, onitsha, Aba, Abuja etc . If the coastal highway is completed , goods will be transported via the highway to south east market and south south market. Which is a very good thing to Lagos economy but bad to businesses because of freight costs.

However if the regional ports are built and functional, the bulk of goods will come from the ports closer to the markets in the east and not Lagos ports leading to the growth of the maritime economy in that axis.
The maritime economy is seriously bleeding out and needs to be recognized, freight fees has gone very high because of high cost of fuel, building a seaport closer to onitsha and aba will reduce freight costs by road .

Nigeria's lopsided cabotage practice is sabotaging thr eastern economy

Apologies if this goes completely contrary to your line of thought.

who told you that Onne sea port is not working and it's closer to Aba and Onitsha so why is brother still making use of Lagos.

Why did they award a gigantic project of 700 kilimeters to one company if they are honest about the project?
The project should be handled by more than two companies starting from Lagos and other in the middle and Calabar end.
Tinubu is only interested to launder money through this fake project that is why he awarded it to his friend without due process.

" If he wins "

The only way Peter Obi can win is if an atomic bomb drops in Northern Nigeria and kills them all.

Otherwise. It is Mission Impossible. grin

Are you now implying that Peter Obi will become president come May 29, 2027

Because I don't understand how Peter Obi, currently a private citizen will stop a project when he's not the president or possess such powers

Once he's out, the project will be revisited if at all, it's ongoing!

Nobody is against the project. The Obong of Calabar have told him recently to start from both ends of the project if he's serious about getting it done!

Asiwaju and his gbajue adherents can not deceive Nigerians with a white goatee project he has no idea what it is!

South South don't need a deep sea port

They need all ports made equal import what ever from any port

Do this and watch all the ports come alive

You mean freight costs and other cabotage fees. To be honest with you, I still don't understand the kind of country Nigeria is because this is neither a federal, confederation, unitary, hybrid state.
This is akin to what runs in the kingdom of darkness. Having different maritime conditions applicable to different parts of the country. It seems I am yet to discover this kingdom of hell called Nigeria. Everyday I keep discovering the basest form of satanic laws.

My own is how does Tinubu tend to construct a coastal road across the Niger Delta?
How do you intend to build bridges across such rivers as the Nun,Escravos,Forcados, the Bonny,Imo river and others that empty into the Atlantic.
We have other deltas like the Nile delta, the Mississippi delta, the Mekong etc,so
Can the op show us where a coastal road is constructed across such delta like Niger Delta?
