How can we empower 50 young Nigerians to start Phone Accessories Business? Ideas Please!

Please note: This is not a solicitation or application, just your genuine ideas on how to go about the process. If you are to sponsor someone to start a small business related to phones, gadgets & accessories, how would you go about it?

There are lots of unemployed graduates and business minded young Nigerians looking for capital to startup one small business or the other. We would like to conduct market research on phone, gadgets and accessories business Nationwide and strongly believe that our research can't be clearly achieved without actually sponsoring young startups to study sustainability of the business over a determined period of time.

The project is being sponsored by a team of Nigerians in Diaspora to research investment opportunities in the country.

The questions is, if you are in the position to sponsor a young family friend or neighbor to start a small business related to phones, gadgets and accessories, what would be your:

1. Selection criteria
2. Returns agreements
3. Educational background
4. Training process
5. Investment Security
6. Sales experience

Your candid opinion is highly appreciated - Preferably from individuals or business owners with experience in the phone accessories and gadgets line of business.

Thanks in advance

Nice idea.
However be mindful of the recent trend of almost every Tom, Dick and Harry thinking phone accessories business is a gold mine and all can do it. So competition is increasing by the day. I see many mallam converting their scrap metal trucks to mobile vending of phone accessories ( Back cover and Chargers).
So that said the success of your idea will revolve around how well you handle your points 1, 4 &6 highlighted above.
LOCATION: I believe you won't be adopting the mobile sales method, so getting shops situated on busy roads and markets will be your toughest hurdle.
TRAINING: Should focus on commercial and technical skills. Commercial should cover amongs others effective book-keeping (Stock book, Daily sales book) Technical should cover basic electrical/electronics, understanding hardware and software. In other to increase foot falls they should be able to attend to basic maintenance issues of phone, before outsourcing more technical issues.
PRODUCT SELECTION: I can write a 200 Pg book this. Plenty of care is needed here.
Invest more on items with high turnover.
For a start avoid items with shelve life.
Never compromise quality because you want to buy the cheapest brand. This will hunt you later.
WATCH & PRAY
All the best

However, the goal is not starting the business as a shop, but to research the market towards distribution. Secondly, the 6 point above is on how to select and sponsor 50 young business minded Nigerians across the country in starting the business and use that the output of that to conclude on research. How would you select that individuals?

The bolded is confusing. You lost me.
You want to help 50 Nigerians start phone accessories business BUT Not as Shops? ?
You need to come clear on your business model.

Yeah, I checked the attached link. Change Computer village there to Alaba int'l. For the past 30 years, I have been dealing with both markets, it's common knowledge that Alaba is dominant for phones while Computer village is for Computers/Laptops

They'll definitely need small shops, I thought you meant that toward investor's actual business. I realized the Computer Village vs Alaba part shortly after posting that link. Really appreciate your inputs. I will send private message to you if you don't mind.

Thanks!
