METHODIST CAMPUS FELLOWSHIP KICKS OFF 40 YEARS ANNIVERSARY IN A GRAND STYLE.

21ST MARCH, 2024.

The Methodist Campus Fellowship, on Wednesday, marked her 40th anniversary Flag off ceremony, noting that it had grown its leaps and bounds in the last four decades.

Speaking at the anniversary held at the Methodist Prelate's House in Yaba area of Lagos State, the Prelate , His Eminence Dr. Oliver Ali Aba, expressed his unconditional love for the fellowship and the excitement from the address of the MCF minister, Rev Ọlálékan Olomola that MCF started on the campus of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State about four decades ago but had now spread to about 120 campuses with over 5,000 members comprising both Methodist, non-Methodist and converted unbelievers.

He proceeded with unveiling of the anniversary Logo and the presentation of logo by Sir Engr. Deji Aderibigbe a longtime patron of the fellowship and the archdiocesan lay president of Diocese of Lagos Mainland.
“The Methodist Campus Fellowship spreads all over the tertiary institutions in the East, West, and northern parts of the country; indeed, the fellowship is waxing stronger and stronger in the Lord.”

In his remarks, the MCF National Minister, Rev Olomola Olalekan, appreciated the church leadership for her constant care for the fellowship
Also speaking at the event, the MCN secretary of conference, Rt Rev. Dr. Babatunde Taiwo, noted that the directory of the Fellowship and its Chapters as delivered in the report shall be reviewed and appropriate actions taken.

The Bishop of Evangelism Rt. Rev. Inyang Efiong who received the document on behalf of the Church promised that the directorate of Evangelism shall treat the request promptly.

“We request that the attachment of schools to dioceses be reviewed. The directory of all Methodist Campus Fellowship Chapters has been compiled for upgrade due to the creation of new dioceses and the birthing of new chapters of the fellowship.

“Once again, Your Eminence, Methodist Campus Fellowship is solidly behind you in pursuing the visions of the church to be spiritually vibrant and be one of the largest churches in Nigeria. MCF, as the battle axe of the Lord, shall rise and build.”

Present at the occasion were the Prelate of Methodist Church Nigeria His Eminence Dr. Oliver Alli Aba, the national president Methodist Campus Fellowship Bro. Abasiodion Utuk, the national President of the Alumni Engr. Nwinmene Lucky Migah, The Chairman 40th anniversary planning committee Engr. Olufemi Ogunniran (KJW), the secretary of Conference Rt. Rev. Babatunde Taiwo, the Bishop of Evangelism Rt. Rev. Inyang Efiong, the conference youth work coordinator Very Rev. Gilbert Madu, The MCF Minister Rev. Olalekan Olomola, Sir. Tayo Olufemi who joined virtually,the conference media director Very Rev. Opeyemi Awe, the Conference protocol officer Very Rev. Makindipe and host of other church and fellowship dignitaries both virtual and physical.

The events of the day ended with the lighting of the 40th anniversary touch at the cross garden in the Prelate’s edifice and the singing of the MCF anthem with great excitement and cheers.
