Oh, Mr President did so well.

So eloquent in his delivery, and drawing wide applause.

See the respect the international community have for Nigeria, calling it the African superpower etc.

Great discussion at the very heights of international discourse.

Actually, Mr IPOB, that was in Saudi Arabia, not in the west.

Who told you the average Nigerian cannot get 3 square meals a day?

What survey did you conduct?

IPOB survey from Finland?

You IPOB.S always think everyone is starving in their houses except you.

GROW UP.

Tinubu is not supposed to be an 'Obama', to titillate you with flowery, feel-good garbage.

He's a focused technocrat that is clearly driven to succeed, and he speaks like it.

That's why he received wide applause.

But we have seen you n your obidient ipob tribesmen claim Tinubu is being disgrace among the International community. You claim he cannot speak English that he carries wee-wee n poo-poo bag inside his Agbada so what is going on here.

lets stop with the excuses that are recycled at every president.... any president should better the lives of its citizens, from the day they took office. just because each and every past bastards in power were useless, doesnt mean that its ok for this one to be the same.
they all promise heaven and earth during their yeye campaign and NEVER DELIVER SHIIT and start looting the minute they get in office.

so if you blinded fools wanna applaud for shiit, then by all means be a deluded hypocrite and do so... but some of us have brains!

I'm not even from SE. Truth is you guys use IPOB when you run out of points.

Fuel at N1000 per liter is still not available.
$ is 1400 inspite of defending the naira. There is still subsidy. Minimum wage has not changed from what Bubu left it.

There is still high insecurity everywhere in Nigeria and Fulani herdsmen are coming back.

You're just idolizing a complete failure called Tinubu

undecided

The man was asked a question on his country's prospects and steps/plans for the future. Instead of answering the question, he went off on a tangent about a fuel subsidy he removed (and quietly re-instated undecided) and a currency he floated (and which is quietly being propped up today undecided).

I know you guys have no regards nor respects for other ppl and think u are smarter than other Nigerians that’s why u wud want to ram a near idiotic performance as stellar , suddenly he is no obama, you are all are superstars thankfully you are in power and the world have seen you guys , not fit to tie the abokis shoe lace , you are incompetents simple and short , that’s why Nigeria is in a mess since the 60s , it is essentially your incompetence over the years , look at the private sectors , the public enterprises, they embezzled it to death and all the while passing the blame to the abokis, I will support a northerner far much more than any afonnn when it comes to power on Nigeria , get the fork out

BAT is a poor public speaker.

He clearly struggles with fluency in delivery...and that is a problem that may (or may not) be age related. But the causes of this lack of fluency are secondary - the effects are far more important. It is difficult for listeners to follow BAT's train of thought as expressed and this takes a lot away from whatever point he wishes to make. His malapropisms are still very much around - what exactly is a "two engine problem in a very turbulent situation"? undecided

His response to the question on instability in the Sahel was fair...it could have been a lot better but we'll take what we can get...

This is what happens when you listen to a question desire an answer from either you personal delusion or just exibiting plain stupidity.

The man clearly stated to recalibrate the economy as he tot fit the naira should be allowed to find it level among the currencies of the world

He the proceed to enlighten dull souls that without subside removal the economy would have crumbled. He highlighted all that stages as passed away and we are now on a trajectory to growth

The man highlighted the two problem distrubing his planed growth (two engine) for the economy, the fact that you clearly listened to all that n still claim he veered of answering what he was asked show how pathetic your comprehension level is.

I suppose you were expecting him to start singing he will be moving the economy from consumption to production like your messiah as if that dull headed clown even understand what the economy is.

^^^
Irrelevant.

I am interested in policy. Causal insults don't really do much for me.

OAFMods:
The man clearly stated to recalibrate the economy as he tot fit the naira should be allowed to find it level among the currencies of the world

^^^
Ok.

But...Project Gazelle contradicts this. It explicitly lists currency stabilization as an objective - which goes against BAT's spurious claims of a market determined exchange rate. You know what Project Gazelle is, don't you? undecided

OAFMods:
He the proceed to enlighten dull souls that without subside removal the economy would have crumbled. He highlighted all that stages as passed away and we are now on a trajectory to growth

^^^
Ok.

The problem is that the evidence doesn't support what you say. There is still a subsidy on fuel - PMS to be specific. You claim we are on a trajectory to growth but we have cost push inflation that your hero has been unable to reign in - and we know what sustained inflation does to growth. So...if there's still a subsidy in place and the economy has chronic double digit inflation rates, then your comments above are just...empty slogans.

OAFMods:
The man highlighted the two problem distrubing his planed growth (two engine) for the economy, the fact that you clearly listened to all that n still claim he veered of answering what he was asked show how pathetic your comprehension level is.

^^^
grin

What the hell is "two engine"?

He was given a soft ball - a golden opportunity to tell the world in detail why and how Nigeria is a better alternative to the many other investment destinations out there. Instead of responding directly to the question asked by the moderator, BAT immediately pivoted to his favourite topic: fuel subsidy removal. undecided What a wasted opportunity.

OAFMods:
I suppose you were expecting him to start singing he will be moving the economy from consumption to production like your messiah as if that dull headed clown even understand what the economy is.

^^^
Irrelevant.

Like I said, policy is what interests me. Very little else.
