My Horror Experience In Delta State by dukechilezie(m): 4:47pm On May 17
Last month I attended the traditional marriage of my landlord's son in Delta State. We were begged to sleep over but we said 'no' because my guy had a business proposal to submit the next day in Enugu.

While driving out, we ran over a nail that deflated our tyre. We couldn't change it because it was late in the night and we had no spare tyre in our car.

The weather was cloudy and was threatening to pour down rain. We contemplated on what to do. This happened in a remote village with no mobile network coverage. My self, Frank and his girlfriend were the 3 occupants of the car.

We tried managing the ruptured tyre while driving the car to at least a secured place. The village looked deserted with no living human on sight. We wondered where their humans lives.

We saw 4 little children coming towards us. We heaved a sigh of relief, we tried talking to them but they were laughing at us and ran away.

Not long, a woman with a lantern came out from her house and asked us to come in for our own safety and to safe us from being drenched in the rain.

We were scared.

On the other thought, we needed the shelter from the rain and cold. She gave us a mat to sleep on. We thanked her and sat on the mat.

By 11:16 pm, She told us nature's calls, she needs to sleep. She asked us to be careful, they are spirits that roams by 1-2am.

Saying we were scared was an understatement.

I told my guy na vigil we go keep o. His babe started crying. We tried to pacify her to sleep. I was going through my phone and my guy was almost deep asleep when I heard a serious wind that threatened to blow down the roof of the the building. I heard the voice of an owl crying seriously. I tried tapping my guy to wake-up. But I decided to let him be.

I started hearing the cries of babies around the building. I decided to peep through the door. I saw children crying while blood dripped from their mouth and eyes. I felt a hand dropping on my shoulder from behind. I gathered the last strenght in me to punch the face of the person that touched me. I turned and it was this old woman, she smiled and robbed her face.

My guy and his babe were awake. The old woman asked us to turn off every phone light and what ever we see or hear shouldn't make us to shout or say anything.

She freaked the hell out of our lives.

The children outside started calling out our names. The old woman signaled us to remain calm. Before we knew it, the door was almost opened and two children came in and the old woman with us started begging them. She told them we were strangers; we weren't from that community.

Not long, the old woman vanished with the two children. We tried opening the door to run out but there was a casket placed across the door opened with an old man lying inside with cotton wool in his nostrils. The babe with us fainted. We prayed and begged God to safe our lives.

Two hours later, there was a thunder strike and the coffin and the man disappeared. After much prayers and singing, I picked up my phone to check the time it was 5:37am. We hurriedly carried our things and ran out of the room.
