lol That was 2006 but now , Port Harcourt is far Bigger than Benin, Benin is just taking ancient glory, there is nothing in Benin.

Absolutely nothing. The only fine place in Benin is Just GRA. Most places in Benin you are using to brag here as Benin City are worse than some villages. If you enter those places you will run back to your village because no road and erosion has eaten deep into places.

Don't tell me about Benin because I am a well traveller.
situate your argument, what are you arguing about, is it Benin and port harcourt or Benin and Warri, there is no research paper today that you will take a hold on that places Benin below first six today. I actually mentioned it in my write up that port harcourt is more numerous than Benin, so stop echoing it, and my post wasn’t about beauty, my post was about economic and numerical strength between warri and Benin city. All paper places Benin over two times the population of Warri and far more economically buoyant. Situate your argument and take charge of your emotions. Stop deviating from the point, warri is a dead city, fine and fine.

Your support or non support is actually insignificant to the scheme of things.

Please can you tell me holistically how Tinubu is better than Obi? Itemize the indices you use for comparison.

It baffles me how this same set of people are always the first to cry out of corruption and bad governance in APC when their own regions have been infested with rotten corrupt pdp governors since 1999.

I can vouch with my two balls. If you elect them into the federal position ( presido) the level of corruption will be nominated by the Guinness book of record

1. Not everybody who speaks inconvenient facts is "anti-west". Some people here are anti-west, some are just pro-truth and some are pro-Russia.
2. I don't get why some people keep saying "mother Russia" while they aren't Russians, and one guy just praised Lenin for ww2, I really didn't grasp where that was coming from, even president Putin hates Lenin and considers Lenin an enemy of Russia.
3. Back to topic, I'm pro-truth, the pro-west-anti+Russia people here seem to feel superior and don't actually care to make sense nor to listen to sense, so they just insult any person saying things which they find inconvenient in order to shut him up. I think some of these guys are paid nafo trolls.
4. You weirdly divided people between pro and anti west, being pro Russia is not the same as being anti-west, but I guess your worldview is binary: "you either bow or you're an enemy".
Michaeltreasure:
Why are all pro west abusive on this thread? From Ibime, Kremlingrad, Obedience etc Can't you all make your points without insulting your opponent?
Personally, I prefer Western world power to the Chinese and Russian, and that's because it's the lesser evil.
But insulting anti west, who themselves frequently make good points, just to make your own point is nonsensical to me...

If truly that Okezie Ikpeazu used the 10 billion to finance other projects, there's nothing wrong with it. His administration argued that they were surrounded by Imo and Abia airports, so they dropped the idea of building an airport and channelled the money into other projects.

Even this US sef, I dont trust the data joor. I know people say high salary, low taxes etc. but it also depends on the sector and you can be laid off with nothing to fall back on.
Just the other day, i googled and saw that min wage in houston was 7.52 dollar/hr, my friend there said it doesnt matter jare but then whats is the metric for measuring the living standrad if we dont start with min wage. I now get why tipping culture is a big thing, because how person wan take survive on that.

Also same houston or texas generally have cheaper houses but high property tax that run through the tenure of your mortgage

Husbot was offered a transfer to
Washington DC August last year. His offered wage was very good. I would have had to start at $65k as a secondary school teacher! Even the non teaching but education roles were around $55k to $70k.
Taxes weren't lower over all because we'd pay federal and state taxes then tax on groceries as well. Then you pay property taxes every year which is $0.85 per $100. Majority of houses in nice areas and walking or biking distance of schools are around the $900k mark. Omo, we just carry ourselves come back joor 😅🤣
Politics / Gbenga Daniel: Southwest Will Be Home To 50% Of Nigerians By 2050 by Buhariiswicked: 9:21am
A viral video of Senator Gbenga Daniel’s position on the need to address the developmental needs of South West zone in the country has resurfaced online.

The Ogun Senator spoke when the upper chamber embarked on a debate concerning the South West Development Commission Bill.

He advocated that the region is set to be the home for 50 per cent of Nigerians by 2050.

This legislative initiative, co-sponsored by all Southwest Senators and championed by Senate Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele, signifies a step towards addressing the region’s developmental needs.

According to a February 2024 report from The Society, the news agency stated that the former Ogun governor’s position was propelled by projections indicating a significant demographic shift.

“With the Southwest poised to accommodate nearly half of Nigeria’s population by 2050, the bill seeks to establish proactive measures to mitigate infrastructural strains and foster sustainable growth.

“Spearheading this effort is the proposed South West Development Commission (SWDC), designed to spearhead strategic initiatives across vital sectors such as agriculture, transportation, and environmental sustainability,” he said.

Daniel, drawing from his background as a Fellow of both the Nigerian Society of Engineers and the Academy of Engineering, articulated the imperative of the SWDC in fostering collective prosperity and bolstering the region’s competitive edge.

The debate underscores a unified commitment among Southwest Senators to prioritise the region’s development agenda, paving the way for inclusive growth and resilience.

The bill was referred to the Senate Committee on Special Duties to report back in four weeks.

However, PUNCH Online cannot verify at press time the status of the bill and the feedback scheduled for March ending.

The House of Representatives, in October 2021, passed bills seeking to establish a South-East Development Commission and a South-West Development Commission, PUNCH Online reported.

Also passed were bills to establish a North Central Development Commission and a North-West Development Commission.

The South-West Development Commission (Establishment) Bill 2019 passed the first reading at the plenary on December 11, 2019.

Simple.. he should show us what he did with 10 billion naira in Abia State that didn't get any publication whatsoever. Afterall, he didn't deny that 10 billion naira was shared among "contractors" to execute several projects in the State.
Where are the projects?.
