It's possible you are blind. The investment could be anything from a working capital to the company in form of cash injections or could be supply of gas to fire the turbines. Any which way, Otedola was not specific grin grin grin

This is the kind of investors we desperately need in the power sector. Seasoned businessmen who know their onions and have proved their business acumen. They have the ability to attract quality foreign direct investment into the power sector and put their REAL money where their mouth is.

Such genuine businessmen and investors need to be encouraged to invest deeply into the power and energy sectors of the economy. These sectors just have to be made attractive to genuine investors. Kudos Sir!!!

the way forward for sustainable power in Nigeria remains renewable energy sources.

Gbam.....you have said it all....

Renewable energy or nothing....why can he just diversify to renewable energy

We have been hearing all this since time immemorial and yet our power sector can not serve just a council ward 24 hour uninterrupted electricity...

Bro, as recent as 2014 Germany generated excess power from Renewable Energy Sources (RES) and was begging citizens to leave their electric appliances on for the safety of the grid.

With Solar, Biomass, Wind, etc which are all freely available here we can generate enough power for Nigeria.

You mean the same Germany that has seen electricity rates increased because of abandoning coal and closing nuclear reactors (the safest, reliable and most efficient renewable power source)? https://www.reuters.com/article/germany-electricity-retail/german-household-power-prices-at-record-high-verivox-idUSL8N1MZ30X

Nigeria as a developing nation that requires rapid industrialisation does not need unreliable sources of energy such as solar, wind or biomass. China, India, Indonesia etc. are rapidly constructing coal, thermal and nuclear plants daily, and yet you desire Africa's most populated nation to generate enough power for her citizens? undecided

Bro, people pay big money in this country without seeing 1kw a month and yet the tariff plan for electric is N25 per Kwh.

And again, how is renewable energy not reliable?
Blackout since yesterday and you feel the steam/gas turbines are more reliable?
