Good morning nairalanders please I have a problem of jittering (nervousness, increase heartbeat, etc) during public speaking or when speaking within a large number of people I always lack confidence. I thought it will stop when I get to adulthood but till now no change it is even getting worst. I only have confidence when speaking to kids. please help me out. How can I get solution medically I'm getting depressed it's shameful. |

No start dey take anything say you wan conquer your anxiety before you ho become alcoholic or drug addict. First time, i took alcohol was to talk to a girl, it still didn't work plus i nearly disgraced my self. Op, you should learn to conquer your fears and meet them headstrong. Put yourself in situations where you will be out of your comfort zone. Go to YouTube, i believe you will meet many ways to overcome social anxiety and present yourself in public. You should also learn not to take your self too seriously and also develop an arab mentality. Las las everybody dey on him own. Even if you disgrace your self, nobody fit do you anything and the world will not end. |
