I saw this meme on a WhatsApp status and it just has to have an explanation. So please bible scholars in the house help me out. Irrespective of what you may think, I'm not posting this to spite or jest, I'm actually confused.

Isn't this contradictory?

After going through your previous posts i discovered that you often engage in other sections of this forum more than in the religious section so i concluded you must have been pissed off by inconsistencies and contradictions in religion.

But we are searching for individuals like you to set matters straight with regards to what may seem strange to you in the word of God. Isaiah 1:18; 2Timothy 3:16-17

Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools!
Ecclesiastes 7:9

God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.
Psalms 7:11

The first verse is warning imperfect humans to use wisdom when we see what annoys us because we are not created to harbour resentment within our soul, therefore we shouldn't be quick to get angry:

Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath! Ephesians 4:26

We must imitate God who is always slow when it comes to reacting towards what annoys Him!
Exodus 34:6; Psalms 103:8 compare to James 1:19; Proverbs 14:29 smiley

The second verse is revealing how God feels towards the wicked {Ezekiel 33:7-9} He will not continue to put up with their wickedness forever {Psalms 37:7-11} He will surely put an end to wickedness soon! Proverbs 2:20-22

May you have PEACE! smiley

Be angry and sin not. You should be angry with sin, injustice, wickedness and perversion but don't sin in the process and don't allow the anger/wrath to rest with you. It's like handling all kinds of people's money in the bank every day but not taking them home with you. No contradiction.

Some of these things are down to translation.
Example is in exodus where "money faileth" and in Timothy where it "answereth to all things".

Anger "dwells" with a fool but God is angry with the wicked conditionally. The condition being their wickedness and refusal to repent. Isn't there a righteous anger again?
God's anger was aroused against israel when they sinned against Him. It was an anger meant to preserve them from destruction(salvation) and unlike the anger of the fools.

There is righteous anger and unrighteous anger. Same way there is good blessing and bad blessing. There is also unrighteous mammon(money) and the true riches. There is godly repentance and fake repentance. There are always fake versions of originals. Even fake gods and fake men of God.

Yeah, the inconsistencies are quite much

So if I understand you, you are saying that the first verse firstly doesn't apply to God and secondly its teaching slowness to anger. The second verse is standalone in this case if the first verse does not apply to God.
Did I get you right?

Carefully read both quoted and cited texts then try to meditate thoroughly that's how you can understand what God's word is saying! Psalms 1:1-3; Proverbs 2:1-5

Yes.
Psalm 7:11 says God is angry with the wicked everyday. His anger towards the wicked is rekindled everyday because He doesn't let the sun go down on anger(Ephesians 4:26-27). The wicked can be angry just for his neighbor getting blessed by God. That's not God's type of anger.

The word is "DWELL", which you know means Habitat and residence.

Therefore, "anger dwells in the heart of fools" means
1) anger lives with a person who is a fool because of he is always a failure. Every constant failure, is a fool)

2) a person who thinks that anger is his choice weapon to use to get what he wants, is a fool.

3) A person who is always angry shall act unreasonably and therefore he shall make a mistake or 2, which shall put him in trouble, any who is like this is a Fool.

So there is no contradiction for there is a place and time to be angry. The law of Time for everything under the sun.

So God is not a .... as you evily implied!

Truly you must have been born foolish

the word DWELL means LIVES IN ie resides

Ecc 7:9 says
Anger LIVES IN the heart of fools

God is angry for a moment, ie for a short time.

Psalm 30:5
For His anger is but for a moment,

See the difference mumu

Bro, it tells about your kind of person that you can't hold a civil conversation. That aside, the verse in that meme clearly stated that God is angry with the wicked everyday. So don't come and start quoting other scriptures to dodge what you also don't seem to understand. Thankfully, we'll meaning nairalanders have explained it to me. You can go through the thread and gain understanding.

Have a nice day.

God is displeased with the wicked, and expects them to repent, and moreso, God is a judge, just that, His judgement is not instantly

Ecclesiastes 8:11 Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.

Men tend to take God for granted because God is not speedy in judgement and it is because God is merciful despite He's displeased.

On the other hand, anger reside in the heart of a fool. God told us to let our moderation be known to all men Phil 4:5, for instance, if someone offends me, it is my responsibility to meet the person and tell them what they did, the other person in question might not know am offended and would be living their normal life while I remain hurt and grieved and in most cases, I want to revenge and that and that, but if I register my displeasure by telling the person what they did, I expect in a future date that they are less likely to offend me because most humans are wired to understand their fellow men, but if I chose to be angry without letting the other person know what they did to me, then I'm a fool, and yea, we were raised to know what God wants and what He does not want, and despite all that, He still sent Jesus to the world to reconcile us to Him. Yea, while we were yet sinners, God still loves us, exactly, it is the act that God frowns at not the person. That my own view to it
