Prof. Itse Sagay (SAN), Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC) at the weekend admitted that unlike in the past, the 2023 Presidential election will be a three-horse race between between the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC; Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and the Labour Party, LP

Speaking with DAILY INDEPENDENT, Sagay however ranked the LP presidential candidate, Peter Obi behind Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of APC and Atiku Abubakar of the PDP.

The legal luminary said despite all the rallies, Obi's supporters are mostly in the cities and have not penetrated the rural where the bulk of the voters are.

"I think the 2023 presidential election will be a three-horse race between the APC, PDP and Labour Party. But I still think Peter Obi is the third among the three candidates".

"In spite of all that we have seen in television and so on, I think that the pool of voters in Nigeria have not been touched by Peter Obi’s people. It’s the young people who are in urban areas who are making all the noise".

"When those in the rural areas will decide to come and vote, I think they will overwhelm everybody. The rural areas are where the votes are. If those in the rural areas come out in their numbers to vote, they will overwhelm everybody".

Play by play people are changing tune and creeping into Labour party by night bus. I pity all this people talking about how peter Obi will be a great president. The same people in APC will at the end of the day be in Labour party. It will simply be old wine in new bottle. And as for those talking about Tinubu, I consider you politically unsound. If you dont know by now that Tinubu lost the election all the way back in 2015, then you dont know politics at all

Dont deceive yourself. At no point did Tinubu stand a chance of becoming Nigeria's president. Only dim witted clowns like Mc Oloumo, Joe igbokwe and gbajamila believe that nonsense

Every time same line ... every time same line

It's obvious that the only hope of APC/PDP in this election is their believe they can manipulate the uneducated and unexposed Nigerians

But they failed to understand one thing , the middle class who haven't taken any key interest in elections before were the reason they could manipulate them

Now the middle class who look out for them have a preferred candidate , the middle class who they respect and meet for advice have a Candidate ...you still think you can manipulate them again ?

Nigeria has never had an election like we are going to have next year. ...no body can really predict

People like me who never voted before and coming out in mass to vote ...the question is how many are people like me ,1 million or 20 million , plus the traditional voters we influence ...no body can predict

The message is coded. Over the next two months we will see more of these sort of statements from Buhari's officials. January will be the beginning of the end of Tinubu's comedy ridden dream.

Whoever knows Obi should tell him these, more than 60% of our voting population is in the rural areas and are illiterates, but their is a subtle way to Reach them.RADIO STATION.

Yes,he should use native language on F.M and A.M radio stations(night 5-10 p.m for southern Nigeria)(he should check for Muslim praying times in the North) will do the rural magic in Native languages.
Do these and see how the tide of 2023 will go in his favor.
