TAX: A Culture Of Avoidance by profagbaje(m): 3:03am On Apr 10
Nigerians hary pay tax, and those that do are coerced into doing so or have no choice in the matter, say, when such is added to their purchase at point-of-sale.

But the questions is this: is paying tax such a bad thing?

We read of some Nigerian big men hiding their wealth in 'tax havens'; only brought to light bulb leaked documents online. If paying tax were not punitive, Why'd they go all the way to the ends of the earth to avoid it?

FIRS recently mentioned widening their net to include those that earn income doing whatever they do online - content creators have as a result come out to voice very strong reservations stating that the taxmen never bothered about their source of poverty hut suddenly wan tot tax their creativity? "DEY PLAY!"

So, again, I ask: is paying tax punishment?
