Umahi: Land Mark Beach Owner Making Noise And Playing Politics / Uzodinma Forfeits Security Vote For Workers’ Salaries / Suspended Head Of Service, Oyo-Ita, Forfeits Assets To FG (2) (3) (4)
How Land Mark Beach Forfeits Right To Compensation (pictures) by Biodun556(m): 7:09am On Apr 28 |
Looking at these pictures keenly, consider these facts: 1. Beach is like a road side, certain meters from the water belong to government. It is a public space. 2. The coastal road would have affected only the structure of land mark beach which only belongs to him. But because of his noise the road was brought in front of the structure making government to lay claim to the coast that legally belongs to it, sand filling the water to create more space for the road. 3.Since land mark beach ⛱️ structure is not affected, no more compensation 4. Does land mark beach owner even have approval for the structure in the first place? 5. 4 Likes 3 Shares

The landmark building was never going to be affected. Only the temporary structures he erected on Government land and the beach will be affected. And where the temporary structures are located belongs to the FG not to landmark. The beach also belong to the FG not landmark..the beach is a public property 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Biodun556:I don't think the business in the buildings can become useless without access to the beach. You can still have lots of fun in Landmark without going close to the beach 4 Likes |

No compensation since the building is not going to be affected...I think the owner is just shouting because he won't have direct access to the beach again which is his selling point..Now to access the beach from landmark, you have to cross the road to the other side. 2 Likes |

Oga Umahi ...is that not a road beside the building can't the people going to calabar use it ...the same way you built a yeye airport no one is using . I don't know what is in the yeye calabar sef .... instead of sand filling areas that need sand filling to push the ocean back you want to construct road which I know you haven't checked the long term environmental impact ...By the time the city submerge don't say we didn't warn you....As if it was the President asset you would not reconsider your decision, most importantly there are high level security implications of building a coastal road close to shore ...I expect the National Security Adviser to know better. You forgot so quickly that Lagos was invaded from the Sea ...Now future invasion would be very easy.. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Biodun556: See the way you guys talk and you want foreign investment. Lmao. Someone used his hard earned Dollars to invest in your country, but see the way you're trash talking the person. Do you know what $100m is? Do you think someone will invest such kind of money without due diligence? Smh for this Yoruba Ronu. If Govt can wake up and blow someone's $100m investment away, what makes you think that foreigners will come and invest in your country? 3 Likes 2 Shares |

So because someone have a business close to the beach, automatically he owns the beach? While the shout is much is because he won’t have direct access to the beach and that is the main selling point 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Paraman: Oga, the beach and the waterfront are the main drivers of traffic to Landmark. If you remove those two, then Landmark isn't different from many of those recreation facilities scattered everywhere in Lekki, VI & Ikoyi I wonder why govt refused to use that Water Corporation road shown clearly on the second picture . |
