we eat flafel too but we call it different...didnt know egyptians ate it too.....sambuus is eaten by somalis, i thought we invented it till i found out indians eat it too....but we perfected it as indains dont use beef meat in their sambuus. *why do negroid women look like men? why cant they look feminenet somali women? why? Africa needs to be diffided between North, Horn, and the rest.....cause you guys make everyone think everyone in africa looks like negroid with big lips.........no wonder white people tell me i look middle eastern.....and i tell them somalia is in africa. and they tell me they never seen africa who looks indian.

Yep 1/ arachide we call it guerte 2/ tamarind, we call it dakkhar 3/ pain de singe, i don't know in english tho, but we call it bouye. In Senegal we make refreshing (and delicious ) juices with tamarind and bouye 1 Like

Black Kenichi:It's delicious! The fish flesh is removed from the fish without spoiling the fish skin, it's mixed with white bread, spices, vegetables and shrimps. Then you put the mixture back in the fish carcass and you sew it, then you bake it. It is eaten with baked potatoes or white rice. |

thiendella:Hi yes tumbarina(tamarind)trees grow in cape verde, you can find it everywhere cape verde is tropical so you can find a lot tropical stuff like tamarind, simbrao, gruselha, coconut, date palm, passion fruit, papaya, apples, banana, grapes, mango.. do you guys eat these fruits( pictures) in Senegal?

linda_1:Yeah we have all them too , in the 1st pic-called cerises in french-is too sour for my liking, it's better boiled with a lot of sugar . THe ones in the 2nd pic are called jujubes in french, "seedem" in wolof we make some kind of cakes from it, they are much sweeter Are these dates in the 3rd pic ? 1 Like |

thiendella: hey the 1st pic we called gruselha and we make jellies with it and yes is very sour the 2nd we called simbrao, I used to eat it like crazy when I was young lol the 3rd is date but in creole we called tambla some people eat it like that and some people boiled with sugar that's so nice, no wonder why CV people likes Senegalese people we got a lot in common 1 Like |
