Nigerian university classrooms are trash. Disagree with me? Post pictures of your classrooms and compare them with what you get in developed countries that I'm posting below. Why we can't do things right in this country is what I don't know.

Even Nigeria senate house were they fight everyday is not as equipped as any of these places that i am seeing...yet the last time they damaged their Old computers which cost 18 thousand Naira each they budgeted Billions for their replacement, like say na Nigerians scatter them.

We have the money, but we know where all the money ends up going to.

Right now, private jets and election are our concern, nobody has time for classroom talk.

Nigerian Universities are not even in the top 5000 Colleges worldwide and they struggle for mention even on the continent, structures of these level are a long shot for any nigerian university, for example Harvard had a $3.7billion budget for 2010 which is more than nigeria's entire federal education budget, the little money they have they fritter on frivolities and paying salaries of redundant workers, no school in nigeria is even midly ICT compliant, even basic laboratories are non existent...and yet the govt is stupidly building more mushroom universities rather than equipping the already decrepit existing ones

That is the problem I noticed in Nigeria. Instead of renovating/upgrading existing structures, we'd rather watch it rot and then build new ones.

And come to think of it, these Schools are all government-owned, not even private. So if government universities are these good in such developed countries, how will the private-owned be? We still have a very long way to go. And you can imagine my institution where you have to bend over to avoid a delapidated electric pole and entangled high-voltage dropping electric wire just infront-of my classroom, beside they talk about safety. And who cares?
