his name, I sometimes have to
search google to get Mohammed
Namadi Sambo.
This issue comes to my mind
because I see Joe Bidden
(USA VP), always coming out to
take a stand on important
national issues and offer
something. I also see UK's Deputy
Prime Minister Nick Clegg giving
his opinions. Why is it that
nobody knows where Namadi
Sambo stands? We are all
bombarding GEJ on his
ineptitude in fighting corruption,
but where is our VP. During the
time of Buhari, we all know that
Idiagbon (a brave and honest
soldier) was the arrow point in
fight against corruption and
indiscipline. Where is Namadi
Sambo? Some will now argue
that Idiagbon Govt was military,
but USA and UK that I quoted
above are all democratic govts.
Also, it is easier for a VP to act
under democratic setting, where
his position is guaranteed by
constitution, rather than under
military, where he can be sacked
without any question. Also, we
understand that the
responsibility of ''power
emergency'' is under his control.
Nigerians know that GEJ usually
hands responsibility, then give
the person a free hand to do the
job. So, I believe that Namadi
Sambo must have enjoyed free
hand to act. Nigerians are
watching! Nobody is asking for
return of OBJ Vs Atiku acrimony,
but Namadi Sambo should
understand that when the
history of failed leaders are
written, he and other lame-ducks
under this govt will be
negatively remembered.
