Merry Christmas again, fellow Nairalanders. Here is the summary of a short play The Divine Love Fellowship members acted during the carol service held in one of the member’s church. First scene: A man appeared on stage confused and dejected at how hooked up he have been in sin. He is confused and wouldn’t know how he could overcome sin [and its consequence]; so he seek for a helper! Second scene: Another man appeared on stage dejected, too, by how he’s being oppressed by the enemies; by Satan and his agents. He is confused and is seeking for a helper, a aid, who is merciful and powerful enough to save him from all oppressions. Third scene: Welcome, two men appear on stage; one, a tyrant king and the other, his slave. The slave was suffering tortures from the king, his freedom to do anything was curtailed by the king so he was kept down and he feels like giving up on life unless a helper comes to his rescue and free him from the wicked king. This king may denote the prince of this world who have been sent down to the world, ready to make the world and all those that are in it suffer by his presence, with lots of afflictions. Fourth scene: A woman, this time, comes in with feelings of terrible pain all over his body. The pain seems to be too much for her to bear and she would either give up on life or expect the arrival of a comforter to ease her pain and suffering. Fifth scene: All these people are in their various uncomfortable situation when a man who seems to be the town crier appeared with his metallic gong in hand; he informed the people that what he is about to say is nothing other than the good news to satisfy their expectations. Everybody was alert and ready to receive the good news. So, the crier took his time and announced the arrival of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the savior and helper, who has come to save all that are afflicted from their afflictions; to aid all those who are being tortured; to heal the pains that anyone might be experiencing; to save all that are in one bondage or another, especially from the bondage of Sin, the deadly captor. Are you currently finding it very difficult and impossible to be free from sin and from is resulting guilt? Rejoice, because Jesus Christ, the hope for positive change, has been born. Are you struggling in pains and in the tortures of life, people and circumstances? C’mon, be cheerful and rejoice, because The Hope has come–to save you from all the pains and tortures. Now, are you currently in a state of want? You want peace in this rowdy world? You want to be free from whatever bondage you have been placed in? See what Micah prophesied concerning Christ’s birth; MICAH 5 4. He will stand to lead his flock with the Lord?s strength, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God. Then his people will live there undisturbed, for he will be highly honored around the world. 5. And he will be the source of peace. 6. He will rescue us from the Assyrians (the enemies) when they pour over the borders to invade our land. Jesus Christ, He is the hope who has come to lead us away from every form of disturbances; He is the source of peace who will make peace to flow in our hearts from inward out; He is the saviour who will rescue us from all the oppressions of the enemies. So, rejoice today, brethren! Be glad, for the great hope has come; to save, to strengthen and to bless. Give thanks, to the mighty King of kings who has been so good to us; who loved the world so much to give us such great hope! (John 3:16) Happy celebrations! http://brodajames./2013/12/25/the-hope-has-come/ |
