... if you are the type that's keen in following competition amongst manufacturing companies or service providers, you would observe lately the pioneer of the popular cement brand in the late 70's and 80's seem to be bouncing back, at least with the awareness of their product on media , etc..

Also you would notice the big masquerade in the biz of cement production in Nigeria now has a new brand or bag content tagged 3X etc... rating it as a higher grade.

I understand cement grades that's been in use for conventional building has always been 32.5 grade, .... but just recently, SON (standard ORG of Nigeria), has just given a directive to upgrade to 42.5, attributing issues of collapsed buildings to the 32.5 grade..

however, with the recent market strategy of Larfarge, (Elephant Cement), its quite easy to relate the directive of SON to disqualify Lafarge, who already has a license for 3yrs to manufacture 32.5 grade of cement..

bottom line, its obvious many African biz people hates competition, the big masquerade in the biz today, seem to be turning some screws on Lafarge...

I might not be a professional, but I know that when there is a PROPER mix and RATIO of cement with its brodas in the biz (sand, granite/gravel, rods etc)... you would definitely get an outstanding result that can last a lifetime..

Not all those talk of cement grade and what have u, ...

if you like carry grade of 50.5 build house, with improper mix ... you will still get collapsed building,, THATS MY TAKE!

MTN-glo,airtel
MULTICHOICE - startimes,daarsat

etc , etc

if not for emergence of those in small caps, one could imagine what the others would have done...

Make your product or service rendered top class and worth the money, customers would be happy for it, rather than using influence to bring down competitors

The dominant force wants no competition at all, that's the game here with SON

incompetence plays a major role in the sad ordeal of collapse buildings, failed car engine as a result of wrong advice from mechanics, soaked walls around the toilet and bathrooms, etc etc....
