GenBuhari: My wife's mother recently became very ill after attending one American medical unit which sprang up in Anambra state, they gave her high BP medication and she is now seriously ill. But many of those are Americans are Anambra indigenes. Are you implying that Anambra indigenes abroad, all medical professionals, brought their white medical colleagues to poison Anambra people at home? 2 Likes |

Anambra Carries out First Heart Surgery Anambra Carries out First Heart Surgery field_img[0]['view']–> Anambra State may have started reaping the fruits of its massive investment in the health sector with the series of heart surgery that is on going at St. Joseph Specialist Hospital, Adazi Nnukwu at the moment. The surgery is being carried out by a team of 15 Doctors and medical workers led by the renowned Anambra-born Cardiac surgeon, Dr. Joseph Nwiloh, who is based in the United States and is globally regarded as one of the best in the world. The building housing the Heart Clinic was named after him by the former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi, who built it as a way of celebrating worthy Anambra sons and daughters and hold them out as role models for the young. Dr. Nwiloh who helped in equipping the centre, thanked God for His mercies and Peter Obi for his vision. He promised to even work harder to make sure the centre becomes fully functional. Gov. Peter Obi who was visiting the State and was requested by Dr. Nwiloh to witness the first surgery on Saturday, said he was happy at the many fruits of the collaboration between the Church and the Government. He said he was even happier that his successor, Chief Willie Obiano has continued in the collaboration, saying that the ultimate beneficiaries were the people of the State. Speaking on the development, the President General of Adazi Nnukwu, Mr. Ben Enemuo said the people of the town were happy over the development. He thanked God for the gift of Peter Obi who initiated the Heart Centre and commended his successor for the promise to build on his foundation. The former Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Lawrence Ikeakor who visited the hospital to witness the surgery said that with the development, Nigerians may not have the need to travel outside the country again for categories of heart diseases requiring surgery. The team of American doctors and medical staff who assisted Dr. Nwiloh were honoured by Gov. Willie Obiano on 8 August, 2014 during a banquet at the Government House Awka. http://www.obaze2014.com/2014/08/19/anambra-carries-out-first-heart-surgery/

Re: Warning: American Medical Teams Travelling Around Nigerian Villages by Ekundayo7: 4:21am On Aug 22, 2014 |
Okay, so I read the article from the link and came away with: a team of ANAMBRA INDIGENES, MEDICAL doctors who left Nigeria to study or live in the US, have come to Anambra to aide the Anambra people. I am not seeing where this white man conspiracy tone should come in. If ANAMBRA INDIGENES see fit to come back to their country and state of birth to help their people, kudos. The fact that your mother fell sick from taking blood pressure medication prescribed by someone at one of these clinics should be followed up by a reliable and credible doctor who is conversant with the side effects of that medication. The dose may be too high or too low and needs adjusted, or perhaps ANOTHER medication would be better for her, all of which require followup and accompaniment. The OP seems to be telling us that there are strange white people wandering around Anambra searching for guinea pigs to test some diabolical "medicine" on. 2 Likes |

GenBuhari: what do you mean strengthen my original post? Sorry if you feel offended. It wasn't my intention. You see, I am interested in this kind of discussion because that's my field. I am not asking for your inlaw's location or name or anything personal as such. I just need something to work with. If she and other people fell sick after seeing the doctors, the diagnoses will give credence to the OP and will give me a head start |

Right, fabricate useless conspiracy theories and spread bullshit. By no means acquire any actual knowledge about illnesses and medications. It could really disrupt your moronic theories and prejudices. 1 Like |

Ok. understood. I do not know whether they were white or black or indigenes. All my wife told me was that her mother informed her that Americans had turned up at her village and that she had fallen ill after being given Blood Pressure medication, her mother also said that she knows others (also became ill after being seen by the medical team. All though it is not clear how many others fell ill and what their circumstances were. To me it did not look good and felt others needed to be warned. My mother inlaw has ongoing issue with diabetes and high BP and the hospital treated her for those 2 conditions. She is almost fully recovered although she is still on a drip. Gboliwe: |
