Nigerians and English. What has the Country benefited from all the years of Privatization?
Take power for instance, despite the fact that hundreds of thousands were thrown into the labour market, power supply had even became worse until the coming of PMB.
Since you chose to talk about his antecedents, don't forget that
IF PMB SAYS HE CAN DO SOMETHING THAT BY THE GRACE OF GOD, HE SURE WILL DO IT. Abeg make una leave him alone for now

Babe, you need to do a bit of research before making statements as these. Both institutions you mentioned are no longer owned by Her Majesty The Queen's government. Long time privatised

The cum rag pro PDP editor even said PMB approached somebody for ministerial position but he rejected it

During the 1980s, oil prices had also fallen by more than half, but the government refused to listen to calls for devaluation. Rather it banned goods, and restricted access to foreign exchange.

In 1983, according to The Economist, the Nigerian government under P Buhari rationed forex assigned for importation to $380 million a month, about 30 percent less than the already tough limit set by his predecessor Shehu Shagari, and less than 50 percent of what was spent the previous year. Also, the government tried to impose price controls, which were too low and caused traders to hoard their goods.

So you people want us to devalue the Naira again?

Have you forgotten the late 1980's.....when we devalued the naria....and the hue and cry that resulted?

The fact is....we have to get our economy off oil..and industrialise.......so that we can have enough dollars to prop up the naira.

Trade restrictions, as in the past, is once again becoming a policy tool, with the Central Bank’s refusal to grant foreign exchange for the import of 41 goods.
The use of administrative measures, and governmental powers to determine the value of the currency, rather than having the market determine it.

Yes..because when oil prices fall, oil dependent economies immediately hoard dollars to prevent the value of their currency from falling.

And it isn't Nigeria...other countries that are oil dependent too are doing the same.

And why are we so dependent on imports? Looks like we have not learned anything since the oil crash of 1982.

Buhari is not a communist.

A communist would have reversed the privatization of the PHCN immediately. APC has no plans for that.

And communists do not like religion....Christian or Muslim or any religion.

As for power supply.....we still have a long way to go. We need to generate more than 15000MW....which despite GEJ's reforms...we were no where near reaching by May 29 this year.
