Ogun State Governor Forced Lawmaker To Take Allegiance Oath! by eShegz(m): 12:52pm On Jun 30, 2009
The political imbroglio in Ogun State is assuming a rather unfortunate and diabolic dimension with the publishing of the nude picture of one of the G15 lawmakers in the State. Honourable Wale Alausa representing Ijebu Ode constituency was revealed nude at an unidentified shrine in Ijebu Igbo according to a report. The Compass newspaper was quoted to have said that the lawmaker and his other 14 colleagues took an oath to impeach the sitting governor at all cost. The impeachment plot according to the report is being sponsored by some politicians both from the state and from a neighboring state.

However, the lawmaker who admitted that the published picture was actually his, countered that he was forced to take an oath by the incumbent governor, Governor Gbenga Daniel before he could secure the PDP ticket to the State House of Assembly. He said contrary to the Compass report, he was actually forced to take a loyalty oath inside Governor Daniel's Sagamu Mansion.

Do note that Compass newspaper is rumored to be owned by Governor Gbenga Daniel and also that the dishonorable (My opinion) member actually belong to a faction of the house hell bent on impeaching the sitting governor. The reasons given ranges from financial impropriety to being politically high handed.

From Okija now to Ijebu Igbo or is it OGD residential sagamu shrine, a pattern is now emerging in the nation’s political landscape. Seems like political appointment, selections and elections are conducted at the various shrines scattered all over the country!
