Why are state governors always the biggest impediment to democracy in nigeria? Why can't there be a proper election by inec(not siec) to fill the LGA's with chairmen and councillors? For God's sake,the LGA is supposed to be 3rd tier of govt. How would a state love it if the president starts appointing caretaker governors or transition governors to run the affairs of the states?
Is there any state in nigeria today where a proper election was held at the LGA level with opposition winning some few seats? None!
Where elections are held,the governor sits in his home and drafts a list of winners which his appointed SIEC boss would go announce.
