These days when I see people complaining about data plans, prices etc I always wonder if it's the same plans we are all using. Since MTN Simple server was stopped, a lot of people especially heavy downloaders have complained about getting a data plan which brings value for your money.

Well, today I'll tell you about two cost effective data plans I use for my downloads.

1. MTN 1GB for N500
It's no news MTN has relaunched the MTN Pulse plan. As part of the goodies they also added a unique data offer of 1GB for N500. Although MTN claims it lasts for a week, every time I subscribe I am given at least two weeks validity period. To subscribe , you must be on the MTN Pulse plan, dial *406# to join. Load your N500 and dial *406*2#

2. GLO 3GB for N500
I don't need to tell you this plan is worth every bit of your money. The only problem is this plan lasts only a week. Also, during weekdays you can only use it at night (from 12-5am) while on weekends it works all day. To subscribe just dial *777# and follow the prompt.

Other notable plans include
GLO 1GB for N200 (Night plan) - 1day
MTN 10GB for N5000 - 30days
MTN 500MB for N25 (Night plan) - 1 day (You must be on MTN Pulse)

I like this 1G for N100, but I can't use it in my house. I can't get airtel signal in my house, but its cool outside my house and on the streets.
I would have gone for the 3G for N1000 too.

The Airtel plan doesn't work on all SIMs, I have 3 Sim cards and all say I'm not eligible, that's why I didn't include it.

that 3GB is fraud i sub that same plan de charge double i.e 1mb is x2=2mb within 2wiks they send me a mssg saying i have exhusted my data while my data cap showed 1.5gb #trust them at ur own risk lol

Why I go lie? I dial *406#. The second option say Buy 1GB@500. I choose option 2. I check my data balance with *131*2#, I see 750mb, you dey say na lie, na u be mtn customer care for nairaland.? Even if them give you 1GB, e mean say them give everybody 1GB?

Take it easy,OP is right, maybe u have some problems with ur line. I dialed *406*2# to subscribe and checked d balance with *131*4#.
