Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun (born 16 July 1990), better known by his stage name Wizkid (sometimes stylised as WizKid), is a Nigerian recording artist, songwriter and performer. He started his musical career at age 11 under banky W and since then has been making consistent progress. Over the years he has had many fights with most celebrities but the most renowned fights that got everyone interested still remains that with davido and linda ikeji.



Wizkid has won several awards including 'Next Rated', 'Best Recording of The Year', 'Song of The Year', 'Most Gifted Male Video', 'Artist of the Year', 'Best New Male Artiste', 'Promising Artiste of the Year' and Many other Nominations he did not win. To crown his success,he has also been involved in several collabos with both Nigeian and American artists.

The America-Nigeria music collabos did not start today. Some musicians like Psquare who made their first collabo with Akon in 'Chop My Money' Remix. Others joined the queue like Davido who featured akon in his 'Dami Duro' remix and Wizkid also got Akon on his track 'Dont Dull' and 'Roll it'. Others foreign musicians who did collabosin Nigeria include Meek Mill, Wale, Skepta, Drake, Chris Brown, Rick Ross E.t.c



But wizkid seems to be gaining favour in the foreign music world. Nigerian have good reason to believe that this success came from his well-deserved hit single 'Ojuelegba' which attracted foreign attention from Drake and Skepta. Chris Brown also called for a collabo titled 'African Girl'. He didn't end it there but also called wizkid up for a world tour with him. Drake also featured wizkid on his Bill-board chart breaking hit 'One Dance' which made wizkid the first Nigerian artist to appear in the billboard chart. After this, Songs released by wizkid have been showing up on foreign music websites which means that he is now seen as an American musician because of the many music collabos with the English musicians.



Just yesterday, He released another single with a Nigerian Born English Rapper 'Tinnie Tempah' whose real name is 'Patrick Chukwuemeka Okugwu'. After this single Tinnie Tempah took to his twitter page to announce that Wizkid would be his special guest of several shows.
