A sage once defined insanity as doing the same thing, the same way and expecting a different result. Unfortunately, that is the case with most people as they keep indulging in the very same things that did not profit them in previous times. Some languish in abject poverty while some wallow in the quagmire of mediocrity and shame.

Beloved, it’s a good time to start afresh. We are in the eighth month of the year. The 8th number is symbolic. In the agenda of God, it’s the number of a new beginning. The time has come for you to start taking steps that will lead you to where you want to be. It is called a paradigm shift.

Is your health deteriorating? You may want to consider changing your habits. Nicotine and alcohol consumption take a heavy toll on one’s health. So do addiction to pornography, masturbation, unbalanced diet, insomnia and lack of regular exercises.

Is it bedlam at your home and your marriage is under great strain? Does your spouse seem to no longer care about you as you regularly experience neglect? Are your children obtuse, and incorrigibly wayward? You may want to invite the Prince of Peace in. He is Jesus Christ and He constantly beckons to you to come to Him (Revelation 3:20). He has the much needed solution you crave for. (Matthew 11:28-30).

Do you experience a shortfall in your income? You may need to study a book or two on managing your finance.

Do you find it difficult attracting and retaining friends, jobs and clients? Are you stagnant in your career and you desire upward mobility? Friend, if your answer is in the affirmative, you need a shift.

It won’t be a bad idea to sit back and reflect by asking yourself where you went wrong. It will amaze you to realise that most times, the answers we need in life are just at our doorstep. All we need do is just get up, take a step and we have solutions.

In conclusion, I urge you to be the best you can be. That master’s degree you’ve always wanted to earn, is best pursued NOW! Now is the time to go acquire that skill that will launch you to your next level in life. This is the time to write that book. It’s the perfect time to start that business. Today is the day of salvation. What a perfect time to go down on bended knees and seek peace with your Maker!

Don’t be crestfallen. There’s a miracle in your desert; there’s a blessing in your storm. There is hope for you today. ” For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.”- Job 14:7,9.

Do remember that the water never parts until you get your feet wet.

Keep soaring and make every moment count.
