SOLUTION TO IGBO'S INVESTMENT IN THE NORTHERN NIGERIA....
...
Igbo Investment in Northern Nigeria and the way forward.
Igbos in Northern Nigeria should not sell their properties to the greedy Hausa-Fulani people instead this is what they should do to get value for their investments.
1. Approach any bank in Nigeria (East, West, North or south) and take an equivalent loan using you properties or investments as Collateral.
2. Reinvest the money from the loan in Igbo land.
3. If you are not able to pay the loan because the Nigerian Government wants Igbos to leave Northern Nigeria then let the bank claim the collateral. Also you can equally tell the bank that you cannot pay and they will claim your property as Collateral.
So Igbos return home to Igbo land.

This is an interesting idea. But the last time Tiv's expelled Igbos from a market in Tivland, they had to come beg the Igbos to return after some months because they found out the Igbos have a special and rare expertizse in trading. One suspects if Igbos should abandon the North, they will be begged to comeback.

To me it's not just about property or trading skill, it's about saving one's life first. Again it's also about redeploying Igbo skill to the SE for accelerated development of our homeland. Also it's about avoiding the perpetual hatred and insults that is meted on Igbo's from generation to generation. I am just tired of reading and hearing these insults

Go back to your law of demand and supply. The more people of Igbo ethnic approach banks for loan using their house as collateral the less money bank will offer them.

Perhaps you are right, but the only way to test this theory is for the igbos to gently honour the request of their northern hosts and head east

Although Ndigbo shall be happy to have independent home land but will never abandon northern region of Nigeria. Ndigbo are not Cameroonians yet from Bamenda, Kumba to Douala are second home of Ndigbo.

Exactly. Some of them are a lost cause. We must endure and accept they are lost.
Those that will return or listen to reason should do so.

I saw an old traditional igbo Ogene music. At 5;50 he was singing and telling Igbos in northern Nigeria that it was time for them to leave.....and said, yet, some are still buying land! He said, don't cry when the inevitable disaster finally happens to you. Mind you, this music is more than 10 years old!

Its business my dear, think of it. The banks have nothing to loose.
An investment/building worth 10million and u request for 5million loan. The bank have a profit of 5million and of course in 10 yrs time the value should be more than the present value.

..You did not have to open a thread for this information to get to Igbos. You could .pass them around the ones you know or pass it as a comment in a thread...I know the bank loan route as well and have been passing the message around as subtle as i can.

..You have done a lot of diservice to Igbos who intend to go the way of your suggestion cos our arch-enemies whom you have alerted will try to scuttle and frustrate that...This thread is not necessary...Employ wisdom in issues such as this next time...biko.

Isn't it the same thing as selling the properties to the banks and cos of the properties glut and same will be sold cheap and where did you spend your borrowed naira in Biafra, do you guys spend naira in Biafra. Don't fool yourself the properties will still be in the north and the pattern will put the bank off.

Here is Obi of Onitsha, two years ago in 2015, dishing same advice.

He repeated it again in 2016

May God bless you my dear. This is what I have been shouting about. Most of our people are not tactful and don't know how to apply wisdom.

Perfectchoice is a good example. With adrenalin surge he has rushed here to open a thread without thinking things through.

I smh.
