The opening of the 13th Chinese Community and Police Co-Operation Center in South Africa last week has sparked concerns about China’s growing influence in various institutions across the continent of Africa.

Many top South African dignataries gathered in Port Elizabeth to celebrate the opening of the new center, which was established to improve relation and communication between South African police and the local Chinese community. The 3rd Term opening of the Chinese Language Training Program, which teaches law enforcement officers to speak Mandarin, was also celebrated.

Twitter celebrity, Julius Malema authored a post suggesting the Chinese were taking over by opening their own police stations. “Now Chinese are opening their own police stations in South Africa. They have already opened 13 & this one was opened yesterday in PE” Malema tweeted.

Neo colonialism! These guys are taking over Africa.

China has seen how clueless and inept Africans and their leaders are. So while we're consumed by religious and ethnic sentiments they'll (China) come bearing gifts and like the fake friends that they are they'll steal our resources right under our nose and God forbid we're unable to pay back the huge "LOANS" they've given us(we'll become modern day slaves be that o). By the way China is over populated and they're looking for new territories to accommodate their people. If you know, you Know!!

YOU Nigerians should worry more about ur ever rising & over bloated debt with China than South Africans should be worried about Chinese police posts for Chinese communities in their country. You are selling yourselves to China more if u understand.

Fo0lish South Africans....SInce it involves a chinko they can only talk, nothing more.

If it was Nigeria that plans to open a police station in their country they would kick against it and start killing innocent people with Xenophobic attacks.

I cant wait for chinese to beat their azzes out.

After reading the thread when the police station was opened, a part of my mind has been worrying about it ever since.
Why police stations? Why China again? Why an African country? What is their true motive of trying to "take over" this continent - Ethiopia, SA, Nigeria, Zambia.....Why?

I don't like South Africans, so China can open whatever them like in that country, that's no concerns of mine.
