Types of clutch > 1) dry clutch 2) wet clutch |
Re: Ask your Mechanic ! ! ! Thread by larrixauto2017(m): 7:13am On Mar 15, 2019 |
Dry clutch > Are types of clutch located in the manual transmission they need no oil to run. that is when spoilt they bring up some rattling sound and noisy sound when spoilt or used rough |
Re: Ask your Mechanic ! ! ! Thread by larrixauto2017(m): 7:20am On Mar 15, 2019 |
Wet clutch > The wet clutch is also call the torque converter in an automatic transmision. The wet clutch is where the entire assembly is immersed in engine oil and is lubricated by it due to viscosity of the oil some power loss can be attributed to this approach but they significantly improve the life of the clutch and reduce the sound (noise) |

Kaymaxine:hello sir it is a good transmission with 6 speed and an advance control module (computer) that control the transmision it is designed by SKYACTIVE-DRIVE TECHNOLOGY which is seemlesly like a race car ,smooth drive , steady acceleration meaning changing gear without noticing like the CVT type. Sir it a good buy but it required good technician too take care of it not all mechs can touch the gear box but i what i wii just say is that it required good maintainance. Thank you 1 Like |

Re: Ask your Mechanic ! ! ! Thread by larrixauto2017(m): 6:56pm On Mar 16, 2019 |
Kaymaxine:the car hardly have an electrical issue cause the electrical side of the car is very complex due to the modules in it. But no matter how long it may be one day it will actually develop a fault in the electrical side. When it develop that fault i will urge you to take it to a highly modern technician that knows what is doing, but if you allow some local electrician if they distabalized the system for you. I bet you will surely hate the car. Thank you |

larrixauto2017: Thanks for your professional advice. I'm having some issues with my EOD 05. 1. I noticed oil dripping from the drivers passengers side close to the front tire which make my steering wheel to stiffened. 2. My central window control is malfunctioning and also one of the back door doesn't open from the inside. Please what are the possible solution. Thanks once again. |
Re: Ask your Mechanic ! ! ! Thread by larrixauto2017(m): 8:03pm On Mar 17, 2019 |
Avedonn:Hello sir. Where is your location. But for the 1) it will required eye inspection cause i don't really get the right oil leaking. But for the 2) That an electrical issue and may be cause by broken fuse, open circuit (cut wire) , and faulty power window control panel is faulty in which it can not be replace 3) for the back door it may be you have activated child lock. Thank you |
Re: Ask your Mechanic ! ! ! Thread by Avedonn: 8:15pm On Mar 17, 2019 |
larrixauto2017: Thanks for your prompt response. You said the power window control can not be replaced? So does that mean my window glass would permanently remain windup? As for the oil leak, since I noticed it, my power steering has become stiffer so I'm suspecting power steering fluid leak. My location is Abuja. |
Re: Ask your Mechanic ! ! ! Thread by larrixauto2017(m): 8:30pm On Mar 17, 2019 |
Avedonn:for the power window panel i mean it can not be repair but replace. But for the leaking oil you said it is the steering fluid which only have three place it can be from which is. 1). The hose that carry the fluid from the power steering pump to the steering rack to the reservior might have burst which it need replace 2). If is from the power steering pump or the rack i will tell you to replace that and never to repair cause it is waste of time and money. Am in lagos. Thank you 1 Like 1 Share |
