Recently, the Federal Government had increased the monthly allowance paid to members of the Nation Youth Service Corps to N30,000.

The increase in the "allowee" was due to increase in the country's minimum wage.

According to the minister of finance, Zainab Ahmed, the stipulated NYSC allowance 2019 will no more be delayed.

Zainab stressed the fact that the federal government is still sorting out few more things before the commencement of the new allowance for corps member, The Nation reports.
