Who put our naval warship far into international waters like that? Global village indeed. When we are still battling Boko Haram in our backyard while US is solving Isis issue in another person’s backyard. Are we serious enough to let a naval warship leave our shores? We shouldn’t have assets anywhere because we have no business sending naval ship to international waters and other silly expeditions.

Nigerian government needs to pass a law that if a contract is not in the interest of Nigeria then successive governments have a right to nullify the contract and contractors are restricted to getting compensation from their cohorts in a civil law suit. It will ground so many things but also ensure that people are doing things with caution and in a very legal way.

No one would do business with you if you pass the law you suggest. Besides, evidence of bribery would have been good defense in this case if such evidence existed (or Nigeria had found any!).

Contract defaults come with penalties bt this figure is ridiculous.

I read the post, my information on the matter is way more than what the post mentions. Before the first judgement, the Government did not even get itself together to challenge or even negotiate with the claimant, the previous administration had put that into the handover notes and particularly pointed out the issues at stake, but your president did not appoint ministers until after 6 months, after which the attorney general was busy trying to flex muscle and chase the former attorney general, they did not even appear at the tribunal let alone challenge the accusation.
