This current Ayangburen of Ikorodu is a stooge. An insignificant Oba who was put there by tinubu and his cohorts. The local government and police are useless too. The cultists in ikorodu are not often students but rather are often Okada riders , Barbers, car wash operatives , vulcanizers, tailors etc. The previous Oba of Ikorodu strengthened the onyabo vigilante group and had a hold of cultist activities and thug life in ikorodu. Back then you can move round ikorodu at night and wear whatever you like . But now the current oba is just useless doing nothing. If you wear the wrong colours in some areas your life is at risk. If you wear a clothe with a bird on it ,they may think you are eiye. The most useless of them all is the Lagos state government which as turned a blind eye on cultism for almost a decade . In areas such as bariga, mushin, somolu and some parts of Lagos island , cultism reigns supreme and nothing is done. The cultists are often arrested and released after some days . It's tragic to say the least . The whole thing is frustrating but what can one do if the government and royal fathers are useless .

Residents of Ikorodu area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria are now living in fear as cultists are on the loose in the area, wiping out a family of three.

The cultists struck at Ojuirowo area of Ikorodu and killed a family of three-father, mother and child on Friday morning.

The cultists were said to belong to the Eiye cult group who were on a vengeance mission.

It was learnt that they shot sporadically in the air, sending panic among residents of the area.

A resident of the area who craved anonymity, told PM News that cultists had been on the loose also at Ota-Ona area of Ikorodu, saying that last week, a neighbour of his was shot by cultists.

A source in the area added that cultists shot dead a vulcaniser in his shop last month at Ota-Ona junction for being a member of a rival cult group.

Also, a resident said early on Friday, that cultists operating on okada were seen shooting sporadically as residents scampered to safety.

They were said to have invaded the Ladega Market in Ikorodu and looted traders’ shops in broad day light.

The cultists were also said to have smashed the windscreen of a woman’s car and made away with her phones.

The police were said to be toothless as they have not been able to smash the cult gang holding sway in Ikorodu.

During the Eid-el-Fitri prayer, the Chief Imam of Ikorodu, Olowo Oribi lamented the rising wave of cultism in the area and called on people to desist from such despicable activities.

As a result of cult activities in Ikorodu, night life is said to have been eroded as people would recede to their homes as early as 8.00pm, as the police are not on top of their game.

Nawa ooo, that is hw they scatter my grand ma area at Itamito, Ikorodu last week friday night around 9pm, wen every one was outside, suddenly these nasty guyz came in on bike the next things we heard was gun shot twice and the next thing a guy fall off in cold blood on friday night, that is how the guy life was cut shorted.

Cultist is becoming something else in the area of Ikorodu, they shot day and night causing chaos and making every resident to pannick.

dont blame the king ,blame the government of the day when you prefer beautifying a state than creating employment this is the end result (a very beautiful city filled with criminals).I will use Bariga Ilaje as a reference here (where sharp sand is sold) that place as been in existence before i was born i am going close to 40 now ,despite the crude means used in getting this sand they devised a means to put food on the table of sand sellers,tipper drivers,the guys that get the sand ,the guys that offload and with minimal death rate over the years .Instead of our government to find ways to assist and improve this method these people have devised for themselves ,the government shut down the place to put up a jetty (how much did it cost to set the jetty up ? How much will the jetty generate ?) when they could easily have imposed tax on the sand sellers and tipper drivers and rake in good money daily .Now what happens to the hundreds of people that have been hustling in this place ,the government has suceeded in rendering them jobless so they have to find a way to survive ,who on earth will want to go board a ferry in a place filled with all sort of criminal and gang members.Do you think most of this youths that engage in all this activities are happy doing so they are only trying to survive
