When cells die in certain parts of the brain some chemicals in the brain are depleted. The chemicals responsible for transmission of impulses are absent causing the neurones to malfunction and the result is rigidity, tremor, speech, memory, cognition, sleep and balance problems. There are treatments available. But we use hyperbaric oxygen therapy (hbot) to treat PD. HBOT corrects the root problems of PD. When brain cells begin to lose oxygen supply they malfunction and die. PD is a degenerative (continuous damage) illness because there are no ways of increasing oxygen in the brain by conventional methods so drugs are administered for as long as it takes. HBOT improves blood and oxygen supply in the brain.
