What level playing ground are you speaking of again? Must the inadequacy always come from the government?

Whistle blower policy is in force. It behoves on citizens to support the government to rid Nigeria of corruption.

If you know anyone living above their means, and you've got proofs in forms of luxury properties, assets etc. Report such person to EFCC.

The weakest link in the fight against corruption is the Nigerian people, despite being the biggest casualties of corruption. Isn't that an irony?

I believe you know the truth, tell it to your self. Sincerity pays. Thank you.

Oga, learn to read.

He said Singapore and not indonesia

Hian. You were just too quick to condemn without first comprehending a simple word.

Jeeaz

First, my BAD...
Second, do you know the difference between to “condemn” and to “contribute”? shocked

Nonetheless, the minor mistake does not change the SUBSTANCE of my post...
It takes more than simply “reducing” corruption to move from Third World to First.

Abegi, quit chasing shadows in derogation of SUBSTANCE.

All the monies he should use in developing our football, he is using to buy houses like birds

He was rich before he became the nff president. They can only prosecute him on what he acquired during his tenure and even at that, it has to be proven that it's not his money.

ICPC seized a house in London without the rigorous judicial process involved? Nonsense journalism!

This man even had some of these houses before ever he became NFF president.

Aside from the investigations by the ICPC, the EFCC and the SPIP are also looking into the financial dealings of the NFF.

Several properties belonging to president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Amaju Pinnick and other top officials of the federation have been seized by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).

The ICPC have moved against Pinnick and top NFF scribe as they investigate allegations of financial misappropriation.

Pinnick is the owner of half of the 12 properties that the ICPC said they have seized during the investigation.

The anti-corruption agency published a newspaper advert about the properties seized.

Properties of the NFF boss seized by the ICPC include a mansion in Ikoyi, a bungalow in GRA, Warri, an event centre in Warri, another bungalow in Asaba, an apartment in London and a plot of land in Abuja.

Two houses in Sokoto and Abuja belonging to the General Secretary of the NFF Mohammed Sanusi were also seized.

Ahmed Yusuf, a member of the NFF Executive Committee had two bungalows in Minna seized by the ICPC.

The anti-corruption agency also revealed that they have sealed the homes of the second Vice President of the federation Shehu Dikko.

"We can't go into further details beyond the fact that many officials of the NFF are under investigation," ICPC spokesperson, Rasheedat Okoduwa is quoted to say by the BBC.

"It's basically because what they have is in excess of what they have earned."

The ICPC are investigating allegations of the diversion of sponsorship money received by the NFF.

Aside from the investigations by the ICPC, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Special Presidential Investigatory Panel (SPIP) are also looking into the financial dealings of NFF's top brass.

Dikko and other NFF top brass have all been interrogated by the EFCC while SPIP in January recommended that president Pinnick be placed on a travel ban.

The Pinnick-led NFF have continued to deny all the allegations.

See as your mouth is sweeting you. Yen yen yen. Bloody hypocrite. Do you know how many reports and petitions with substantial proof have been sent to the EFCC and ICPC regarding specific individuals such as Bola Tinubu (and his Alpha Beta), Adams Oshiomole, Akpabio, Amaechi, and Timipre Sylva to mention a few? What have become of such petitions?.. You're here talking rubbish like one peacock whose head is stuck in the cloud, detached from reality. Hypocrites like you are the real problem with Nigeria.

Indonesia is still ranked relatively LOW on the corruption index though...
Lower than several of our West African neighbors, including even Benin Rep and Burkina Faso.

Corruption doesn’t help development one iota, and thus nothing here should be (mis)construed as excusing corruption, but at the same time folks should realize that there’s more to development than simply “reducing” corruption. In fact, a country like South Korea developed under incredibly corrupt and despotic governments and political systems, as did Thailand and to a large extent even the said Indonesia under the rapacious Suharto family. For starters, you have to have a certain level of competency (and/or enlightenment) at the helm of leadership.
>

I have always maintained that corruption is overrated as a causative factor for Nigeria's shameful underdevelopment and retardation.

Nigeria's biggest problem is not financial corruption per se. Our biggest problem is incompetence in all spheres where competence is sorely needed, due to the abhorrence for meritocracy.

Get the right people in positions across board, and things would start working almost immediately, even though they all perpetrate corrupt activities.

But no. Only incompetent idiots who are also corrupt for that matter are considered to fill up any and all available job slots in the public services and to some extent even in the private sector. The consequence is the deep mess we are stuck in as a shithole country.

Let me have copies of those reports and the evidences. I will personally re-submit them to EFCC.
