Institutionalization are societal standard on things, which later become societal norms and culture.
Institutionalized ideas doesn't need any backing but might also become a way of life due to acceptance example include
1. Ladies getting married before 29
2. A man must purpose before marriage
3. Love is built only with money
4. comparison of achievement and lifestyle amongst people
5. Education as the key to survival.


This things are built around the society and as such become principles and guidance to growth and development

Demerits include
1. Emotional disability
2. Peer pressure and societal pressure
3. Shift of culture, language and beliefs
4. Judgemental criticism on issue that doesn't relate with you
