With the ease in lockdown and recent reduction in the number of positive Covid19 cases, one would hope that by now FG should have asked the NURTH to resume carrying full vehicle capacity just to ease the cost of inter-state traveling, but everyone seems relaxed while we are almost getting use to paying double of what we pay before Covid19.
Normally the cost of traveling from Lagos to Benue(Gboko) was #5500 but right now it's #10,000 and this doesn't seem to be going down anytime soon. What then would be the fate of those that will be traveling with their families for Christmas especially as it's almost a norm for prices of goods and transportation to skyrocket every Christmas season?

The initial excuse by transport companies was that security operatives were extorting them so much due to the ban on interstate movement but right now the extortion has greatly reduced.

When they were carrying 14 passengers a trip to places like Benue would cost #5500 and that makes a full trip amount to #77,000. But now they charging #10,000 and carrying 9 passengers making a full trip worth about #90,000. I don't get the rationale behind this seeming greed

Please share your opinion or ideas let's some of us become hopeful cheesy

What do you think Oga Justwise and Disguy ?

I believe you don't expect price to be lower when demands will be higher, do you?

This has always been their defence line, but do you still know that not all of them return with an empty bus, and even some companies still charges the few returning passengers as high as they'd for first trip, don't you see it's just a win win on both side for transport companies?

cry Obviously the increase in fuel prices isn't big enough to stand as an excuse if they'd be sincere enough.
